Spot on brother.. I think o.G fits seamlessly with this team, he’s what we needed from that slot a legit athletic small forward who’s versatile. One thing I wanna highlight with him is he has high basketball iq like you can tell he makes good reads on defense and offense and has a lot to offer on that end and he’ll do good for us

I think we overpaid by including IQ there. I understand why we did it - we probably had no superstar trade till the deadline, which meant losing iQ for nothing. OG for RJ (and a pick) would've been a fair trade from my view. But IQ is a great player with a ton of upside as a starter. It would've been a great asset for a superstar, but I guess no such trade is available until the deadline. What makes this dicey is how much OG wants next year? If it's $25mm, I am fine but if it's $35 million? that would be hard to justify and would kill our cap space even after letting Fournier go.
IQ was blocked by Brunson, so it makes sense for him and the Knicks for him to be traded.

The Knicks are a better team today then they were yesterday, Barrett hit his ceiling last year, to sum him up, he is nothing more then a good player on his best day, he is unathletic, bad defender, subpar shooter, too left handed, robotic and stiff, curious migraines? Quickley was not resigning after the year and to get out from Barretts bloated 100 mil contract is a total win for the Knicks.

He desperately wanted out of the 3rd option role, and now he’s even LESS than the third option! Knicks fan for life but I can’t wait to watch their franchise burn after this. Definitely need a backup PG to handle the ball when Brunson is off the floor, McBride isn’t the answer, I say bring over the European and then see if this team can make a run.
I wouldn’t give up picks and possibly Grimes for Mitchell, a Mitchell/Brunson backcourt is way too small
