For the 45th Anniversary of Disneyland they created this Parade - Parade of the Stars. It went through several changes during it's 5 year run.
I saw this parade in 2002(?) I believe it was. I was six and I was much too shy to be a guest performer even though my parents always wanted to. I'm so happy that I found this video, it's bringing back such wonderful memories. I remember Cinderella blew little six year old me a kiss and my mom was in tears. Ever since that exact magical moment, it's been my dream to work for Disneyland as a "friend of a princess" ;). Anyway. I'm rambling. This video made me happy. x
Glad to being you happiness

I had totally forgotten about this parade until earlier today when I was looking through photo albums! This brings back so many memories
It's so nice to say that I was in this parade with my sister. We danced with Donald and Daisy 😃
That would be so much fun
Do you remember who were the Characters on your high priority list at that time?
September 2002: The first parade I ever saw at Disneyland. Gave me goosebumps then, gives me goosebumps now.
David Dude 😀 You said it. It brings back so many memories.
I love it so much it was a neat parade all the time
Excellent
In my opinion, this is the greatest Disneyland parade.
Roger Rabbit was my favorite character of all time when I was younger and this parade was being performed and I remember one day my family and I got approached and asked if we wanted to be in the parade.. We said yes and I ended up dancing with Roger! Just so happened I was in the right place at the right time. The memory still makes me cry! Disney made my dream of meeting my favorite character come true! -3
Magic
I was lucky enough to get to dance with Roger as well when I participated in the parade. Such fond memories I'll never forget❤
That seems like a really, really Awesome memory!
:)
I wish Disney would bring Roger Rabbit back to their Theme Parks (for Meet-and-Greets, and Parade appearances)!
Roger ribbit was my favorite character all time when I was a kid moment make me cry dinesy made dream come true alawys meeting my favorite character come true
@@SeanTheDisneyGuy I agree with you thinks for sharing with us 🇺🇸
This brings back some of the fun times I had while working at Disneyland and I worked the parade as guest comtrol and at Small World during the parade. While I tuned it out as a cast member, it's a piece of nostalgia since I had a chance to dance as a Guest Performer. Thanks for posting this!
how were you able to perform and what did the guest performers did before the parade starts and what happens after the parade is done
I love Disney so much! I don't know why but I always get emotional with parades and fantasmic and all that. I always feel happy there; no wonder they call it "the happiest place on earth" Thanks for the video :)
You are welcome!
me, my step-sister, step-mom and cousin got to be in this. we danced with ballou and king louie. at the end we recieved special pins - they had the blue fairy on it and on the back it said "guest performer"
That's a cool parade, with all of those Disney characters that are never seen at Disneyland/Walt Disney World Resort, which is cool.
It looks like a cool parade but I usually use parades to go on the rides with long lines. I find them knid of annoying but nice at the same time. I've never actually watched one until now. Hehehe. Nice job.
AWESOME job with the video! I was lucky enough to be in this parade twice! (I danced with the Hippos from Fantasia... In a tutu!) They usually only let people do it once a year but our camcorder wasn't working right. I've wanted to work at Disney ever since I was a kid and that is probably the closest I will ever get to actually working there. Thanks for sharing the video RU! Brings back some GREAT memories!
it would be awesome if they can bring their old parade back to remember all of they memories.. i cry to this day when i see this.
The 20 Characters who were of my highest priority at that time.
Aurora > Snow White > Mickey > Minnie > Goofy > Pluto > Donald > Daisy > Chip > Dale > Cinderella > Jasmine > Mary Poppins > Alice > Winnie The Pooh > Tigger > Belle > Ariel > Dopey > Wendy
aww poor Baloo! They put a tutu on him lol
Talk about busting all the toons out for the parade. Dang there are long that i have never seen before in a parade Like Max Goof
I missed the Parade of the Stars at Disneyland, my favorite old parade, during the 5-year-run for the 45th anniversary in 2000 to 2005. I didn't join them in the parade while wearing a tutu or a star cape. My watch was broken, my guitar strings broke, my costume had winkles, and I didn't get any messages on my beeper! I wish I could join them in the parade and dance with Flik, Max Goof, Tigger, Mushu, Timon or even Robin Hood. I love to join them in the Parade of the Stars. Jimmy Kielbasa out.
Thank you
@@ru42 You're welcome. I really love the Parade of the Stars. Well, I guess I didn't join the Parade of the Stars back in five years during the forty-fifth anniversary at the Disneyland Resort back in Anaheim, California from 2000 to 2005.
I remember this! So many memories.. It's beautiful.
Thank you
Thanks RU! always a pleasure to watch your videos here on on VF! =)
I like that parade. It may not be Disneyland's best parade, but I like it.
This was the last parade in the USA to feature Roger Rabbit until 2013 for the Easter celebration, Roger can be more seen in Disneyland Paris
I think Disneyland Paris also has Jessica Rabbit and Eddie Valiant there too.
@@SeanTheDisneyGuy they do
@@CoffinDoll I just wish that Disney would bring the Characters from their Theme Park in Paris (including Roger Rabbit, Jessica Rabbit, and Eddie Valiant) to their Theme Parks in the USA!
@@SeanTheDisneyGuy Disneyland California and Disneyland Paris you have a 50-85 % chance of seeing Roger Rabbit especially now for the 100 year celebration
The Parade of the Stars is one of my Top favorite Parades @ Disneyland!
:)
Wow! Such beautiful floats and costumes! And I love the music arrangement of the Disney songs.
What in the world was following the dwarfs near the beginning??
It is the little mermaid
i was in the parade when i went in 2005!
This my 2nd favorite parade behind Mickey's Soundsational Parade!
Excellent
my wife and I were lucky enough to dance in the parade in 2003ish. they give you a pin for participating.
I never made it into the parade - sad face
I was one of the dancing guests it was fun
Yay for the golden nugget! I'm partial to the little Minnie :)
Excellent
As far as I remember, this was way before Rapunzel, Anna & Elsa.
This Parade was before any 2000 movie
your videos are amazing!
they "recycle" some of them to use again, by changing the layout and stuff of on the float. and the ones they don't need they either break them apart or save them in the warehouse, ps you may see some of the parade of dreams floats in the xmas parade
that year is 95.i am 9 years old.
i love disneyland i want to go back so badly
I want to go to Disneyland :,(
I noticed the Penguin Waiters from "Mary Poppins" walking by after Mickey's float, but where's Mary Poppins herself?
The wind took her away
@monkeybev
I... I wanna scream. How can someone NOT know about the second animated classic Disney created in 1942?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! D=< Do you live in Texas? If you do, come over and WATCH IT WITH ME. I'm a total Disney addict- I can't STAND people not knowing ANY one of their movies!
this is amazing
those are the people selected throughout the park. micheal isegner (disney ceo) decided that it would be nice to have actual disneyland visitors to be in the parade.
is this from anaheim CA?
Skyethur yes
Happy birthday Aurora 🎉🎂🎊🎁🎈
Happy birthday Cinderella 🎂🎁🎈🎉🎊
Anybody know what happens to the floats as Disney changes out the parades? Do they scrap them for parts or keep them underground or what? I only ask because I was shocked to see the itty bitty "Celebrate" parade floats taking the place of the immaculate floats in the previous parade.
But DCA's floats only seem to get bigger and better with each parade. Hrmm...
I miss this parade and the parade of dreams! =( the "celebration street party" that disneyland is showing currently sucks. its so boring!!!!!
omg i cant remember who that person is at 1:51
I am not sure what you are experiencing because the video is playing fine for me. I would suggest clearing out your cache and trying again. - - RU

How long did this run? what was the date?
Kristen Jenkins Parade of the Stars (45th Anniversary Parade) run for 5 years. 2000-2005.
Kristen Jenkins Also the Floats have a lot of reference to Disney's Fantasia 2000 movie.
2000-2005 - replaced by Parade of Dreams
great video, but a poor parade...
07:40 the mushrooms make me think of condoms...
Saddest parade ever
