@@KeevinPokerVlog Your thin value river bets I believe are good ways to make your sessions a bit more profitable. I think that is a leak in my own game, being too nice and just showing down some marginal holdings.....or not raising enough with strong holdings. 1-3 in Washington can play smaller unless you get on the "main table" which often times has players that have been playing for quite a while and have deeper stacks....it isn't unusual for 5 of the players to have at least $1k. However our biggest bet is capped at $300 so it is a bit of a different game....this is true at all levels so it definitely changes how the 2-5 plays and I imagine the 5-10 (often 5-10-20) even more so.
1/3 is very easy to beat - the biggest issue is the rake at 1/3. Once you move to 2/5 the rake isn't nearly as bad - but you can still easily make $30-$40 an hour at 1/3 playing well. You really want to get to 2/5 as soon as possible so you can start making $50-$70 an hour but there is no way 2/5 is easier than 1/3. If you don't know how to deal with shallow stacks - stop raising so large pre flop. Start min-raising and if they all go multi-way to the flop that's great. I see so many poor live players going 4x-5x big blind open sizes which is bad especially with short stacks at the table. Stop bluffing as much at 1/3 - make a hand - and extract value. They don't like folding so value bet light, and only bluff solid players who fold.
adjusting your preflop sizing is not how you counter SS's. You need to adjust your starting hand range. You cant open 56s in the CO if the BTN and blinds are jam happy shortstackers. But opening to 5x is still advantageous to build larger pots to win and commit people faster.
ATo on T24r flop multiway - you dont want to cbet small here to keep 99 in. 99 isnt folding no matter what you do, small PP's are indifferent to bet sizes (mostly) on dry textures like this. You want to bet big because they'll call as a bluffcatcher. Then you can size down on the turn to keep them in. Now if the flop was wet like T56 with a flushdraw you want to bet small to keep their ranges wide so that you dont get trapped by monsters.
I'm no pro but the pot on the flop is over $200. If I'm playing against this guy with 99 I would have a hard time calling a big bet with other people left to act. I would have probably leaned towards a smaller bet, but maybe not as small as $40. Maybe half pot?
The burger I had was mediocre (for the price). The service was fine. There are dishes I haven't tried, but it's always nice to at least have a real restaurant right next to a place where you can have some fun.
I wouldn't be able to tell you not knowing which editing software you use. I suggest googling "(your editing software) remove green screen" or something along those lines. You will likely find a ton of tutorial videos.
I do look forward to your next video. You and The Bluffalo are my favorite Canadian poker vloggers. Wish your piano background wasn't always so... sad! You're talented but it makes me feel a bit melancholy, even when you're racking up a win. 😥
Nice run man! Come down to Portland Oregon and play! We have no rake and $500 max 1-2 and $1000 max 1-3 games. Did I mention no rake as well? Just a $20 daily membership fee.
In Southern California they do a drop of $7 (rake is illegal) which is ridiculous. You can profit but it’s measly and requires playing boring ass poker, you have to play crazy tight.
@@rppoker8541 rooms I’ve played in, they still call lol. If the player pool were competent it would be impossible to profit. Even with the bad play the profit is peanuts.
Ok.. I love watching vlogs of this type... BUT.. your choice of music on this one... upsets me... just.. ."Off"... .it's off... .Please... better music... or NO music at all..
I know this isn't poker related but are these music free copyright? I like it.

@@KeevinPokerVlog Thank you.

Late night post :). I like the series, will watch the second half in the morning.
Always appreciate your support =)

Wow that $300 max bet makes it so weird IMO. 2/5 or 5/10 with that cap is definitely a whole different game.
Yes, I think going for thin value and recognizing those spots is very crucial for beating 1/3. It's a tough game as is. Every value bet counts =)

I still haven't tried the Gordon Ramsay burger. Reviews have been leaning towards not so good. 🤔
You kinda sound like Mr Rogers neighborhood,...and ah yes the sweet relaxing nursing home musical stylings so delightful to quilt to
First time hearing that 😂. I am a fan of Mr Rogers though. RIP.
Good job friend
Hey how do you use that overlay an get rid of the blue and green screen cover an use the table background

@@KeevinPokerVlog on that site you using it let’s you use the overlay but I found out how to remove it on CapCut

Thank you for the support. Nothing but love from Canada to all of you =)
@@KeevinPokerVlog I'm cheering you on from BC love. ❤️
You folded a flush with a redraw to a straight flush on the turn??? Dude, like WTF???
Damn saw one hand and I see why 1/3 is hard
Notification awake at 3 am gang?
Sorry for waking you up =)
Why did you get banned from that casino? Maybe you can go back.
Banned for a year. So wouldn't be able to go back till then. Full story in episode 22 =)
Music is kinda depressing. Maybe something a little more upbeat. Nice win.
I like calling it bittersweet =).
Thanks for watching.
It is accurate to the task
1/3 is tough if you take any poker advice from bluffalo sam.

Wow that sounds like such an awesome game! Portland definitely doing it right.
@@KeevinPokerVlogShhhh don’t tell anyone else 😂
Purely daily fee? No other Time? Impressive.
Sounds too good to be true
My thoughts exactly
You can’t profit at 1 - 3 buddy the rake and promotion is at least $7 nowadays
If we had a 1/3 game that was only $7 here, that would be a dream. Agree with you that the rake makes 1/3 a very tough game.
@@KeevinPokerVlog more then $7 ? At $7 it makes it impossible to ever profit but your saying more 😮

@@KenDavis-uo8kq I mean $5 for the drop and $2 for the promotion . That is the new standard . But when you play that tight what happens when you bet ?
