- very high crit rate. a lot of mistakes on cd timings and clipping because i'm unfamiliar with 750+ skill speed. it's also of course often unrealistic to hold dfd/sd for b4b since you would be using them for mobility in many encounters. stats below. i also missed a geirskogul somewhere in the rotation like an idiot.

+Zan Dreamcatcher while there were quite a few mistakes especially given my 760 skill speed and yes, it's just a dummy parse with a high crit rate, 500 more dps with i250 crafted gear/weapon is quite literally impossible. in this video i execute most of the fundamentals of optimizing the DRG rotation, stuffing 2 Geirs into the B4B timer, always hitting 9 GCDs in the B4B timer, delaying my second B4B a GCD to comfortably fit Jump into the timer for a PPS increase. look at any top clear timeline on FFLogs and you'd see they'd be executing their rotation in a similar manner when possible. according to dervy's DRG simulator, average DPS for a DRG in BiS is only around 2700-2800 without food and pots, so i'm not sure how you convinced yourself into thinking you can hit 3000 DPS in i250 gear. i suggest studying dervy's videos which demonstrate how to pull optimal DPS on a dummy fight.

Looks great. Been practicing on my DRG, I'm at 253 iLevel now on my second month of sub.. Unfortunately I'm on PS4 which I feel hinders my rotation :( trying to get better though.
I hit 2054 on the SophEX dummy but in raid scenarios I tend to off (A9S A10S) probably because of my inexperience with the fights.
When you say BFB half way through GCD post FT what do you mean? should I be waiting until my GCD timer is half done and then cast it? hard to tell sometimes
yeah, wait until your GCD is around half way until it's finished and then activate BFB, this allows you to get 9 GCDs in the BFB every time you use it. also, saving your BFB at around 1:29 until after that true thrust allows you to use your Jump inside the timer which is a dps gain.
I will check it out. I had over 800 skill speed and then 750 for a while which was screwing everything up I just made some major stages.
nice i use act and its very slow with parsing i like your parser the numbers are constantly changing is this a different parse or just act with better timing
it's act! you can change the update interval for act by going into options tab > mini parse window and change the number of seconds next to "update interval". i'd suggest setting it to 1 second.

i'm hitting around 2400-2500 with i250 pentamelded crafts as mnk (food/pot/party etc). if you're hitting 2350 with prototype 250 gear then i'd say that's pretty on point

i only used Geir > LS in the video because i was seeing if i could fit geir into the IR timer with my skill speed, but it didn't work. do LS > Geir as it seems to be less prone to clipping and lines up better with your rotation
how much dps do you do without food and using a potion?
with no foot/pots/party buff it's around 2300 average. with only party buff and no food/pots it's around 2400 average. parses can fluctuate wildly because of crit rate.

i don't think you can reach this amount of crit with raid/tomestone gear this tier. the drg bis this tier just barely hits 1000 crit. ffxiv.ariyala.com/X57P and the only other option has less crit. if you're not a raider then you can probably break 1000 with a mix of 250 prototype and 260 scripture gear with melds though.

it was a kinda sloppy parse, but i had a pretty high crit rate. practice makes perfect, dummy whacking is only the first step.
I don't like it, when people are using Pots/Buffood on dummys. Just go in there raw. In a group, understandable, since your dps will only matter in raid really. But it's very hard for comparison. There are a lot of good, but poor dragoons like me, who can't afford to spend their buffood on dummys ^^
Skullmakerdemon Yeah, I understand. I was trying to go for a high number in this video and additionally had a very high crit rate. Average in this gear would probably be around 2350 without pots/food but I haven't played in in months so I can't quite remember. Also keep in mind that my gear was near fully melded i250 which puts it at a stat weight kind of close to i260.
So I'm quite good with around 2690 at ilvl270, no food, no pots, no party?
If I remember correctly Dervy's DPS simulator calculated DRG i270 BiS at around 2700 back when 3.4 hit so yeah that should be pretty good.
