Thank you for your video. Had an issue removing the cap and watched which way you turned it to open. It took me a while and a lot of strength but finally was able to open it and add coolant.
Is your car causing you a lot of stress?? With coolant? I’ve spent so much money on this probably took it to 5 different places cause it leaks and led it to high temperature.
Brute strength! I watched this video and saw there wasn’t any special trick. Kept turning and then suddenly a big release of vacuum pressure. Then it screwed off. Perhaps if a person undid the top small hose on the tank first to release the pressure? NB*Never do this when the engine is warm. 💥
But if this is help you just try to pull and push in both directions somehow it get stuck or jammed, but it should work. The cap it show you to what direction you lose and tired. Good luck .
I have a stupid question: Where exactly on the words MIN & MAX should the level be? There's no line, just the words in big letters. Should the levels be at the top of the word? The middle? The bottom? Or anywhere as long as it's within the word somewhere?
Hi, I just replaced my whole reservoir but my coolant keeps leaking. I think one of the hose (upper) is the problem but I don’t know the exact names of them to order and replace. Thank you I’m advance
Ford escapes have a recall for the leak if yours hasn't been fixed due to the recall take it to any Ford dealer and it should be fixed without any money out of your pocket
Remove the return pipe (the one on the left hand side) turn on the engine... the engine coolant will begin to flow, while u are adding the coolant inside the reservoir until you are satisfied that all old coolant has been removed/drained
I have a 2016 Ford Escape, I noticed that my coolant is low and I went to look up the type of coolant I needed, it says yellow or orange, but mine is pink. My question is there a pink coolant?
2014 ford focus. everytime i open the coolant bottle cap loads of coolant gushes back into the bottle. also after driving the level is really low. just replaced water pump still no joy
Make sure the engine is cold. Don't take off the radiator cap. Fill it at the "bottle"...the over flow reservoir. It sounds like you may have an air bubble in the system...
Thank you for the informative video! I used the premixed coolant in my 2013 Ford Escape. Just to clarify, if we are mixing the water ourselves in a non-premixed coolant, do we use distilled water?
@@PeterFinnTheCarDoctor Finland Kool......... Thnx for an excellent video you helped me alot.... I had to put antifreeze in my 2016 Ford escape titanium.......
Must use recommended coolant. Do not mix coolants. Our 2013 Escape uses the OAT (Organic Acid Technology) Coolant. Zerex has one that can be used in Ford Escape and of course the Motorcraft VC-3-B Orange pre-diluted coolant.
OMG....There is no difference between preconcentrated antifreeze and concentrate EXCEPT that one is already been mixed with DISTILLED water(REQUIRED) and one is not. There is no such thing as "regular antifreeze" vs Concentrate. NEVER put concentrate into your car with out DILUTING IT, 50/50 with DISTILLED WATER.
@@PeterFinnTheCarDoctor Funny you say that since you're not using Ford OEM, which is Motorcraft. You CAN use other brands but they MUST be OAT. I hope this car is still running after you screwed it all up.
@@amylathrop8329 Why is that may I ask? Antifreeze is a lubricant for the water pump. And where are you getting this information from? I've never heard that before and I've been maintaining all of my cars for years. I buy antifreeze (orange is what's in the car) and I add to top every few months.. No issues at 71,000 miles.

Hello.
Yes there is.
@lucaslong76 did u get the pink coolant for your car?
can i use any liquid or does it have to be that one specifically
Yes, coolant concentrate
