So cool this information is out now .
    I never bought the helter-skelter story .
Just a shame bugliosi died before this book came out... and sadly Manson died before the book came out...at last some sanity in this crazy case! Tom O'Neil has really changed the narrative on this whole case😮

Great that the truth is out now...always knew something was fishy in this whole case...Manson was smarter than most people gave him credit for...

Well, "more truth is now out", but there are things like hours of taped interviews with Tex Watson that were either destroyed or now hidden. The La Biancas daughter lived in the same apartment complex with Tex and knew him ( She inherited over a million dollars from their death ). Two of The Beach Boys and Terry Melcher partied at Spawn ranch with the dirty "Hippy Girls" and this occurred after the murders. More people were killed than is actually known and Manson did actually murder ( Despite the statements that "he only directed his followers to kill" ).. Our "American Sweetheart" Doris Day, had a small record label by the name of "Day Records" and was approached by Manson, who wanted a recording contract. She told him to "get the fuck out of her office" and never come back. I would not be surprised if she had several armed guards protecting her 24/7. She knew about her "Darling Terry" and his misbehavior. Also, Manson did something to freak people out, it was " creepy crawling", where he or his followers would break into a home and rearrange things, misplace items or transfer to one of their other homes. Doris Day knew of a telescope that was at the Canyon Ranch home and was moved to her Malibu Beach home.. The reason Tom O'Neill had such a difficult time finding out information was that the children of the "Hollywood Elite" were heavily entrenched in this and associating / getting drugs from the Manson gang. People who we now think of as "wholesome" had very sketchy past lives and know the "truth" but refuse to talk. Who would think that Cass Elliott was one of Hollywood's biggest drug dealers, or Jay Sebring had drug and Mafia ties to Vegas… Bless Angela Lansbury, because she was honest and told the story ( I believe after Manson died ), took her two children away from this and moved them to Ireland and they "went straight". So much more information to tell !!!

This kind of LSD is probably the same kind that was at the Altamonte concert headlined by the Rolling Stones. People there were crazy from LSD, but it wasn't regular LSD. It was from the government tried to make a Manchurian candidate.

Wait, I fell for that one: the idea that Manson was sending a message to Melcher AND making it look like the Panthers had done the crimes & would do, more
But duh it cannot be both - why would Melcher fear the Panthers, more than any rich white person might?
A Panther attack on the wealthy would not inspire Melcher to give Charlie a record deal - or even feel retribution, for not having done so.
And what price to pay, at the ranch, when the actual Panthers found out that the Family had done this - in supposed sympathy - which essentially framed the Panthers, & maybe would stop their movement, cold?
But was there a USG desire to embarrass Black {Panthers? Yesa- and. worse. Fred Hampton & Mark Clark were shot, via city police conspiracy, led by USG, in December.
I am left with no Manson murder motive, at moment
