Thank you for subscribing and supporting my channel! Every subscriber is a huge encouragement as I strive to reach that 100k milestone-it’s been eight years, and I’m only halfway there. Your support not only helps me grow but also motivates me to create detailed and helpful content. I truly appreciate you taking the time to comment, and I’ll do my best to help you with this issue.
The Epson L495 error code 800000 isn’t documented in standard user manuals or troubleshooting guides, which can make it quite frustrating. Based on industry knowledge, this error often points to firmware corruption. This can happen due to a factory defect or an issue that arises during automatic firmware updates. Epson tends to reserve certain error codes for their repair facilities, and this might be one of those.
To address this, you can try disabling firmware updates moving forward, as they’ve been known to cause more harm than good. These updates often target third-party cartridges, sometimes breaking OEM cartridges with low ink levels or even causing damage to the printer. For your current issue, I recommend reaching out to Epson support directly at 1 (800) 463-7766. They may offer a solution or provide a replacement if your printer is still under warranty.
For more information about why firmware updates can be problematic and how to disable them, check out my blog post here: bchtechnologies.com/blogs/blog/how-to-disable-an-epson-printers-automatic-updates.
