Ty for the tutorial! BTW, if you can't find the "Principled Hair BSDF, make sure to switch on Render to Cycles, if it is on EEVEE (mine uses eevee by default), you will not be able to find it.
I love this! After seeing Trolls 2 I've been obsessed with this 3d felt art style and this is a much better result than what I've been able to replicate
(Edit: I resolved the issue. For others who may run into the same issue as I did, go to preferences > Input> Mouse > Uncheck "emulate 3 button mouse") Hey, the area during 2:50 where you use the edge loop to alt click to divide the mesh into those pieces- When I alt click, it does nothing. I've ensured that I'm in edit mode. It's just not performing the action of using the edge loop to divide the mesh into parts.
Its crazy... the first tutorial I dont need to pause youtube and go back to blender every 30 seconds. Thank you for explaining every step and mentioning everything you do.
Let's hope he responds. I also really like the orange theme he uses but the default one doesn't look like it. Southern help us out with your Blender Theme ❤️
Awesome tutorial video as always! I'm just having an issue with my hair curl curve, when I apply the modifier it pulls all the hair ends to the objects origin point. I'm fairly new to blender so I'm wondering why that is? any help would be appreciated! : )
Hi I am learning blender but I want a tutorial for beginners. I am c4d artist btw but I want to learn blender.. do you have new course for blender 4.x?
Felt, it's a great Metaphor. Sensation and felt. As a context, a felt filter could revolutionize perspective when it is like an Einstein string theory 4d GPU viewing system because of the camera only seeing the space between the felt fibers but it is like a felt glass Infront of the camera. Regarding how the perspective of seeing the objects and space's would be modified by the camera depending on what happens to the felt Infront of the camera. The same idea could be applied to the back of the camera like it is a visual impairment or enhancement depending on the environment/ space. Something like making the camera have automated systems of response to the felt responding to blinking lights or something like that, would make it possible for the camera to control itself without cheating because the blinking lights would be controlled by the camera's controller (like it's a phone with a Livestream camera)... It's hard to explain but it is like the particles of the felt material represents fabric of different softpedia profile networks... Or something cool like that. Faking response to stimulus by making invisible robots that interact with the invisible felt. Which could be anywhere and represent a 4d GPU artwork (like, it's a streaming download video making an object in the video game). Felt logic or fuzzy logic could be the ai-accelerator devices and add-ons. Many people may have not understood how to fully access the technology uses nor understand how to make it look. In dragon's dogma 2, the full CPU is used but what if with the ai-accelerator devices it changes how much CPU is used; for example.

You know you've done well when CGMatter approves. Big fan of your technical art direction content.
If your having problems at 12:49 it’s because eevee doesn’t work with it

@@DJ_Narcan thank you so much! was able to find it back then, but for anyone looking this is the answer.
I think for highly realistic needle felt it's too fluffy but very cute nonetheless!
Thanks!!!
