- We seem to get a lot of questions about needle punch, rug punch and rug hooking. There is some confusion as to what each craft involves! Amy goes over basic differences between needle punch, rug punch, and rug hooking. She also covers which tools are used for which crafts as well as which backing fabrics you can use for each method.

Is your weaver's cloth the same as Monk's cloth?
No they are two different cloths. Monk's cloth has much larger holes so it works with larger tools like rug hooks and rug punch (such as the Oxford Punch Needle). Weaver's cloth is a lot tighter and smaller and will only work with Needle Punch embroidery.
What is the difference between monk’s cloth and weavers cloth?
