i think he saw it coming a lil bit and could've been shocked. for me i was so shocked my jaw dropped i couldn't do or say anything for a minute.
maybe bcs i didn't know the whole story and didn't play little nightmares 1, and partly bcs of 5up being too prepared so we couldn't see six going psycho on the school child. i was so shocked i was just gawking the whole time

I noticed how when mono first called six she gave him the music box trusting him. But by the last time he calls her she is so scared of him. Mentally it must have broke her trust in him.

Another great game that is really short but incredible is Before Your Eyes. You should check it out if you're looking for ideas.

This makes my heart hurt so much. Six letting Mono go leaves the two in an inevitable loop even though they are both just trying to survive and do the right thing. Child Mono is subjected to the same decision to save six or not every cycle and chooses to every time leading her to betraying him every time. Because she knows Mono’s danger of becoming the thin man and her fear of his power she betrays him. Her hunger in the first game came about bc of her subjection to the signal tower bc a piece of her is missing. She is in a cycle with the lady of the ship. And betrays the gnome against her will bc of this hunger. Of course there’s a bigger social commentary to be had abt the games, but the lore in itself is already so heavy. Not to mention the origin story of the rain jacket and six. Two girls have to escape an orphanage on an island. Only one girl, six, makes it out. The other girl was the original owner of the jacket. Six and the jacket were washed away at sea until she was captured by the hunter. She later finds the jacket on her journey with Mono. Or so I think. I’m still research but the story is beautiful and intriguing.
