Trying to learn to drive manual right now so I can buy this :) does yours have air conditioning? I feel I can live without it in Canada... I doesn't PREVENT your car from getting HOT, I'll just put one of those windshield sheets over it when it's parked and drive with the windows down in the summer
@random tv 1 The car has run perfectly for the 1 1/2 years we have owned it. We did buy it used with 50,000 kilometers on it and it has 76,000 on it now. I love driving it, it's actually quite sporty!
Same bought a 2015 first off the lot base model in white cause it was 50 bucks cheaper I average 6.8 L per 100km in the city and about 4.5 if im highway driving. Plus its a peppy little car and so far all I've done are oil changes. Although front lower control arm bushings and sway bar linkage are getting bad but its 6 years old and those parts are only about 120 bucks and 2 hours of work tops.
I like it. I wish not having air conditioning was an option on more cars. I have air conditioning on my current car and honestly I never use it. I prefer a window rolled down if its too hot. Many people just want simple basic reliable transportation and this seems to fit that segment.
compared to a mirage its much better the interior is better and it has a bigger and better engine which actually gets better milage all around unless you only drive on back roads at 60 km h in 5 gear in the mirage the gas milage is better in the mica cause it doesnt have to try so hard to go up hills or accelerate.
I LOVE my Micra SR. It got great pickup. I actually like the engine noise so I guess that is preference. My 5 and 8 year olds fit in the back perfectly, even in booster seats. I think if you can afford it, get the SR and tint the windows and you've got a great little car.
I bought the 2019 Micra SV which is the last year they will have it in Canada, I got to say it is a fun little inexpensive car to drive, cheap on gas and maintenance and fun in the snow.
LOL to " If you can't back this car up, we have an issue." True though but it's funny. What a nice little car. My buddy bought it and it is good for City driving esp. if u live in Toronto.
Bought the micra s trim manual transmission. had no idea how to drive stick but once i got a feel for it cant say id ever go back and for a small car such as it is the manual transmission just makes it so much more fun to whip around the city :):)
I like the idea of this car. I built the s trim online with the manual, black rims and some other styling pieces for under 13 grand. A couple aftermarket performance parts and some window tints would make for 5 years of inexpensive fun.
great review. seriously considering this car for a daily work commuter. Need manual though and if you cannot buy the 5spd w/o a/c then forget it. I don't buy autos.
long-term opinion:
I bought a new base model in 2015. 5 speed manual, 1.6, no options. Put about 50,000 KM on it so far. 10/10 would purchase again.
How have you found the gas mileage. With gas at $1.30 litre and climbing it looks interesting to me. Thanks
Me too, we love it!

I'm sold, it seems a ton better than the old used clunkers I was looking at the past few days,
for about the same price.

I just bought a nice red 5 speed, it's actually a very fun sporty car!
finally a very good review. Well done. I think you can get the SV (with A/C) and 5sp manual as well.

I did the same - put a little down payment on it and it's like paying a cell phone bill ;)
Thanks for the positive review, planning to get a Micra SV in black with auto & convenience package.
i wonder whats the sale numbers of this small car.

Bring this to the US
You are so pretty.
You should blur your plate! SOmeone could write it down on paper and then steal you credit card.
That car is definitely NOT 10K! By the time you drive off the lot, you would've paid very close to 14K.
GREAT NISSAN.
xeyallarimin masini
Cvt or amt
4 speed auto
The automatic is about $1000. it's all the other things, like PW/ PDL/AC etc, that jacks up the price.
