That is the mark of a truly skilled warrior, capitalizing on an enemy's weaknesses and minimizing your own. Yes, the way in which he did it was monstrous, but it perfectly fit the character he was becoming, and is a perfectly legitimate victory in terms of story, characterization, etc. Vader was more than just a skilled duelist. If dueling skill was all that mattered, Mace wouldn't have lost to Palpatine, and Luke wouldn't have defeated Vader. All the best duels in the Star Wars franchise have been the ones that transcended raw skill, and had real meaning and purpose behind them.
The Jedi did Vader dirty by making him climb a mountain and deal with traps and enemeis before they fought. Instead of facing Vader right there and then, he opened up a dam and had water try and drown Vader. Vader's body was slammed hard against the wall damaging him. Then he sent those giant raptor birds out to attack Vader. The Jedi knew Vader's leg was damaged during those trails and was making fun of him as he was coming up the steps. Vader put him on his ass with the force for that. The Jedi had to be a punk and not fight Vader before the trials. This Jedi didn't really beat Vader, Vader's leg beat him. First off, he had to use a couple traps on Vader to weaken him. First he floods the channel and causes Vader to slam against the concrete damaging him. Then he sends out those giant raptor birds, which cause damage to Vader. Vader's leg was already showing signs of damage going up the stairs. Plus Vader didn't have a lightsaber, it was that awful training weapon from the droid. During the Battle this Jedi didn't get a single hit on Vader and Vader's leg broke, proving it's made of inferior materials, more than likely on purpose by the Emperor to test Vader. Vader's leg broke, Vader falls to his knees, it wasn't the Jedi that did this. Before that duel, the Jedi was on top of the steps, taunting Vader and Vader causes rocks to start floating, the Jedi draws his lightsaber to defend but his force slammed back and onto the ground hard. The Jedi during the duel as I said before doesn't get a single hit on Vader and Vader's leg breaking is what makes him fall to his knees. How is that a real victory for the Jedi? Imagine fighting a MMA Champion who has a leg injury. During the fight, you haven't landed a single hit on him and his leg breaks. Does that mean you're the victor? Hell no, it was bad circumstances that defeated Vader. His leg literally defeated him lol. The Jedi was an arrogant idiot by force pushing Vader off the mountain, thinking the fall would kill him. He gets a minor cut with his lightsaber in the second duel but Vader is still battle damaged from earlier and the fight was far from finished. His right leg and arms had a make shift brace on them, showing how damaged he was. The Jedi was fighting a really damaged Vader, not really fair, but what is? Doesn't matter, Vader kills him, the jedi was a fool as Vader said. Vader with his own lightsaber and good cybernetics and some experience in that new body, he would have destroyed that Jedi from the get go.
I truly appreciate the effort to get in the story. I think the battle was not physical but mental. Weakened by the physical damage Vader had nothing but his will to acquire victory.
I think this issue made the character of Infil'a inconsistent. The first time I saw him, I thought he was a badass, Mewtwo-esque character (They did say something about him only training to fight or something) but apparently not. He did have more battle experience than Anakin based on his looks and he seemed emotionally tough, but suddenly he became chickened when Vader came back and when Vader destroyed the waterholder thing even though it would have given Infil'a a perfect moment to strike Vader down. Vader should have died on such a heavy impact to the ground anyways, considering how weak his armor is which we saw on the previous issue. What would I have wanted? I would have wanted that Infil'a defeats Vader and that Vader must search for another, weaker Jedi to hunt down. Or that Vader would have had to resort in calling the 501st to kill Infil'a. Either way, it would have been hilarious to see Sidious roasting Vader for his failure. Anyways, I'm not a big fan of making characters overpowered (or giving them insane plot armor for that matter). Great video btw, here's a joke GG: "You fool! I've been trained in your Jedi arts by Count Dooku!" Obey-Wan: "You are aware that Count Dooku is a Sith, not a Jedi? GG: "............. Attack, Kenobi!"
Calling in 501st would have been pretty cool, and the soldiers kill the jedi while vader watches him struggle with his arms folded and later walks up to the body and picks up his lightsaber.
Thing is, I don't think this Jedi is more experienced than Anakin was. He may be older but we don't know how long he's been there. Plus during his time, the Jedi weren't forced to engage in a major war. Anakin has been in war fighting on the front lines for over 3 years non stop. He's a general, leads thousands of troops and has fought and defeated some of the most powerful forces users in the Galaxy. What has the Jedi did that can amount to that? Besides, people keep saying that Jedi defeated Vader, he didn't. Plus Vader didn't have a lightsaber, it was that awful training weapon from the droid. yesterday i got in my recommendations people trying to do what you do but they failed at it hard. keep up your awesome work man i love these videos, i get the comics but i love the way you bring them to life
what if anakin was found by the jedi when he was a baby. what if anakin left the temple when ahsoka left. what if palpatine was discovered as a sith lord before the revenge of the sith.
Vader is more powerful. He's just vulnerable. His Force power is unmatched and this test helped him realize that. Upon that epiphany, he played on the Jedi's weakness in only a way Vader knows best. Forcing them to stand their moral ground.
Just want to let you know I am going through a rough time as I had a mental breakdown yesterday and watching your vids on one of my favorite franchises is helping get to 100% again
Even though many other star wars TH-camrs made a video about this I waited for yours not because I'm against them or anything because I love there videos too but you bring a unique aspect and experience thanks for another great video
"Bleeding" lightsabers sounds like something absurd that would've been taken from legends, whereas synthetic crystals seems more straightforward and of modern canon.
Vader has the Hulk complex. The more enraged he gets the stronger he gets and that's even being inhibited by the suit. It gives a new meaning to anger leads to hate and hate leads to suffering. In Vader' s case hate leads to the suffering of others.
Sure, winning a straight up duel would be cool, but I like that Vader used this guy's weakness against him: Being a Jedi. Not only beating him, but causing him to lose because of his compassion for others, and forcing him to watch those he failed before he died. Super dark and a great way of showing Vader embracing the monster he's become
another great video! For the first time i disagree with your assesment of Vader being #2 in power next to Palpatine...reason simple, Every breath Vader took was pain, his very being ensnared him in the darksideand fueled his rage, Palpatine was evil a master manipulator, planner, and powerful sure, but he didn't have the obstacles to overcome that Vader did, every duel, every battle he was out to prove that his injuries were just that, He was the most powerful and wanted to prove it, his hatred was lit by every breath... Palpatine was equal with Yoda, but Vader in his prime would defeat Yoda...remember when Yoda and Dooku were equal in knowledge of the force nether able to overpower the other, then the same with Palps... the chosen one was the most powerful and had the most to prove, his injuries fueled his power!
Does anyone else find this comic was pretty dark? Vader killed the Jedi as he stared at the city being flooded and drowned. I find that pretty dark, at least for something I'd consider Disney actually doing.
What i liked about this was how well it showed Vaders grasp of the force. I mean he dismantled a droid and repurposed its parts to become his own and all without even touching it. Then while i think it was a cheap way to avoid the fight he easily smashed the water tower with the Force.
I actually really liked how he defeated the Jedi master. A victory is a victory. Regardless of the circumstances. Even if Vader would have won before, fact is, he lost because he was ill prepared. As was the Jedi in their rematch. He's a Sith, as a Jedi he knows what they feed off of. He was ill prepared. It was perfect in my opinion. He was a fool and full of himself. Would never have come close to killing Palpatine.
An epic fight? No, that's not what we were getting and for good reason. Vader already tried to destroy the Jedi with direct and brute force, and was soundly beaten. No, this makes perfect sense. He outsmarted his opponent. He used his weakness and capitalized on it. That is the Vader way.
I agree with you on wanting a more drawn out duel. But at the same time I believe this was fitting. Vader is starting to come into his own power and defeating the Jedi with the dark side of the force while killing all of the innocent people really goes to show just how powerful he was starting to become with the darkside. Not to mention I think defeating the Jedi without a lightsaber really proves himself in the sense of forging his new blade.
This issue doesn't look like Vader actually beat Master Infila. Rather, Infila was more concerned and preoccupied with saving the people Vader was attacking. Seems like if they just straight up fought, Vader would have lost a second time.
"When you play the Game of Force you either win, or you DIE!!" -Darth Cersei Lannister The Sith don't believe in "honorable" fights. Sidious killed Plagueis in his sleep; Plagueis killed his own master Darth Tenebrous by making a cave collapse on him while he was extremely distracted running away from an explosion; Darth Malak tried to kill Darth Revan by firing on Revan's flagship while he was too busy fighting Bastila Shan's Jedi strike team, etc. It's killed or be killed, by hook or by crook.
Daniel99 He didn't have all those cybernetics and constant pain from burning alive. You have to realise Vaders suit is not exactly what you'd call "comfortable". Couple that with the fact that the suit does nothing to make his charred flesh hurt less... Basically what i'm trying to say is that complaining that Vader has trouble with fighting one Jedi alone when Anakin slaughtered almost all with an Army of clones backing him is like complaining about how a war veteran in a wheelchair couldn't beat a normal dude with his fists eventhough he gunned down a bunch of soldiers on the battlefield with an Army backing him.
The reason this victory is important is because it teaches Vader what Sidious already knows: True sith lords don't need a lightsaber to beat jedi and their mastery of the force is what truly makes them powerful.
Nah, I like that he destroyed the city. Highlights how he's fallen and that as a sith he's willing to give all the collateral damage in order to simply get a crystal. Sure, not as epic a fight, but much better in terms of storytelling and character arcs.
I really love these videos! And the music makes it so dramatic! The only thing is that the music is a bit loud in this video during the battle but I still loved it! :D
-_-....Not all jedi were evil bc we try to save the innocent *mumbles you idiot* .... Actually the rebelion have blown up two death stars and star killer base..Y'all stormtrooper s cant even shoot so...Yeah good luck with that trying to survive thing
Well, expected a little bit more epic combat, but I was sure, Vader's choked Infilla with the Force. But I thought, we can see bleeding process of the kyber in the end.... Oh well... I shall wait like the Awaiter (Zhdun/Homunculus Loxodontus) (sorry for tautology) for this moment. Thank you for this moment, SW Therory! Appreciate you!
yeah this fight just simply isnt possible, once again they made darth vader/anakin more powerful then he actually is, buff him to hell with plot armor, and make all jedi in existance look like they are little kids playing with lightsabers, and its just dumb, like seriously, its not even enjoyable
Telkarin I hope you are aware of the fact that had Vader not used the Jedi weakness to his advantage he would have lost ? In the previous isseu Vaders lies on the ground , beaten and heavily damaged. This jedi master is not a pushover. Read the comic before you jugde...
Remember as well, anger, hatred, and pain can greatly empower Sith... And Vader had all three in spades. And even after his loss to Obi-wan, he was still very powerful, just more vulnerable which was showcased in the comic and the last issue. And I wouldn't say this particular Jedi was like a little kid playing with a lightsaber... He defeated Vader in the last issue and left him in rather poor condition.
Watching this, it once again shows just how badly written the "Good Guys" are. I save a few people, lower my guard, then watch as I lose my lightsaber. I then get my throat crushed and the innocent people are killed anyway. If he would have ignored the few guards falling, he probably could have killed Vader or at the very least, kept him occupied so Vader wouldn't have had the focus to drown everyone. As Spock says, “Logic clearly dictates that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.”
Here we go with you again. You post this shit on most of the you tube star wars channels. You're an idiot. Saying Vader isn't this powerful? Bullshit, you have nothing to back that up with. He's defeated over a 1000's Rebel Soldiers by himself and that is canon. He's one of the most powerful Sith to have ever lived and Jedi. Plus, dude, get rid of that fucking avatar picture. Who ever that is in the picture is one of the ugliest nerdiest motherfuckers I've seen. What a fucking wimp.
This Jedi didn't really beat Vader, Vader's leg beat him. First off, he had to use a couple traps on Vader to weaken him.
Sith. Of course he would do him dirty. The Sith have no honor.
I truly appreciate the effort to get in the story. I think the battle was not physical but mental. Weakened by the physical damage Vader had nothing but his will to acquire victory.
What if Yoda took Luke to Dagobah when he was a baby?
Give up, I will not
Until a video, this becomes.
Roaring Rayquaza ya that would be a cool video
Dagobah is surrounded by the aura of the dark side so theres a chance he would have been a sith sooner given his lineage
Either Yoda would have turned him into force Jesus or Dagoba would have turned him into a Sith worse than Vader.
This is one of Vader's moments where it shows how he has gone from selfless to absolutely MERCILESS.
Great video btw, here's a joke
GG: "You fool! I've been trained in your Jedi arts by Count Dooku!"
Obey-Wan: "You are aware that Count Dooku is a Sith, not a Jedi?
Riddick Xavier I like this guy
So who's GG?
I cant agree with this more
yesterday i got in my recommendations people trying to do what you do but they failed at it hard. keep up your awesome work man i love these videos, i get the comics but i love the way you bring them to life
what if anakin was found by the jedi when he was a baby.
what if anakin left the temple when ahsoka left.
what if palpatine was discovered as a sith lord before the revenge of the sith.
You do a great job narrating these comics! I'm really looking forward to the next issue!
Vader is more powerful. He's just vulnerable. His Force power is unmatched and this test helped him realize that. Upon that epiphany, he played on the Jedi's weakness in only a way Vader knows best. Forcing them to stand their moral ground.
Darth Sidious is more powerful Darth Vader is 80% of Sidious
Darth Vader that's why he got his ass kicked so easy thrown day the cap hole
HaloModder555 not moral ground, it's the high ground
Just want to let you know I am going through a rough time as I had a mental breakdown yesterday and watching your vids on one of my favorite franchises is helping get to 100% again
*This serie is just epic and awesome !!!!! I can't wait for the release in France !*
Star Wars theory u should do a thing and find out witch Jedi died faceing general greavis and whose lightsabers does he have
Your episodes and channel are great, keep em coming! Totally the highlight of my day today
I was expecting Vader to empale the Jedi with his own lightsaber and the green to slowly turn red.
Great sound effects and voice acting, it felt like I was really seeing a movie.
I love this comic cuz of Vader :) wait a month until the next comic 😲
You know what I miss you doing Star Wars comics
Does anyone else find this comic was pretty dark? Vader killed the Jedi as he stared at the city being flooded and drowned. I find that pretty dark, at least for something I'd consider Disney actually doing.
What i liked about this was how well it showed Vaders grasp of the force. I mean he dismantled a droid and repurposed its parts to become his own and all without even touching it. Then while i think it was a cheap way to avoid the fight he easily smashed the water tower with the Force.
Do you think Ezra or any of the mandalorians will find Ahsoka's fake grave on Mandalore?
I know this is an older video but I just wanted to say I love the voice acting and sound effects you add it really helps
Whatever edgy vader fanboy.
@@molo1848 lmao idiot
I think that this issue just shows us even more of Vader's true darkside
An epic fight? No, that's not what we were getting and for good reason. Vader already tried to destroy the Jedi with direct and brute force, and was soundly beaten. No, this makes perfect sense. He outsmarted his opponent. He used his weakness and capitalized on it. That is the Vader way.
Nice Video :)
Nice Video
I love his voice acting! Makes it better than all other star wars channels
What if Vader didn't caught Leia/Tantive IV at the beginning of episode 4
This issue doesn't look like Vader actually beat Master Infila. Rather, Infila was more concerned and preoccupied with saving the people Vader was attacking. Seems like if they just straight up fought, Vader would have lost a second time.
I think it was a dirty move for Vader I know he is supposed to be a villain but a more honorable fight maybe?
eric Jacobs the point is vader isn't strong anough to beat a jedi yet and is forced to use his brain to win
Honor means nothing. You're either all in or you're not. You're a winner, or you're not.
"When you play the Game of Force you either win, or you DIE!!"
-Darth Cersei Lannister
The Sith don't believe in "honorable" fights.
Anakin killed jedi masters.....
Daniel99
He didn't have all those cybernetics and constant pain from burning alive. You have to realise Vaders suit is not exactly what you'd call "comfortable". Couple that with the fact that the suit does nothing to make his charred flesh hurt less...
Basically what i'm trying to say is that complaining that Vader has trouble with fighting one Jedi alone when Anakin slaughtered almost all with an Army of clones backing him is like complaining about how a war veteran in a wheelchair couldn't beat a normal dude with his fists eventhough he gunned down a bunch of soldiers on the battlefield with an Army backing him.
dang Darth Vader is so awesome that fight looked epic.
Can you do a fan fiction video?
The reason this victory is important is because it teaches Vader what Sidious already knows: True sith lords don't need a lightsaber to beat jedi and their mastery of the force is what truly makes them powerful.
Nah, I like that he destroyed the city. Highlights how he's fallen and that as a sith he's willing to give all the collateral damage in order to simply get a crystal. Sure, not as epic a fight, but much better in terms of storytelling and character arcs.
the dark side demands death of the innocent for access to its powers- nicely done Ani !!
VADERS A FUCKING BADASSSSSSSSS
Yeah, just not as badass as he'll become in the future.
So a badass = A coward?
Battousai HES RUTHLESSSSSSSSS
I really love these videos! And the music makes it so dramatic! The only thing is that the music is a bit loud in this video during the battle but I still loved it! :D
What if Luke killed Vader in Return of the Jedi?
He would become Sidious apprentiece and galaxy would be fucked becouse Luke had the same potential as anakin
Darth Vader if not more
I've been waiting for this! Didn't watch other vader comic videos just so i could see yours!
"The Jedi order was corrupt and evil"
"The Jedi were the real bad guys"
-_-....Not all jedi were evil bc we try to save the innocent *mumbles you idiot* .... Actually the rebelion have blown up two death stars and star killer base..Y'all stormtrooper s cant even shoot so...Yeah good luck with that trying to survive thing
Yeah, sure, thats why you see Sith killing innocents, not Jedi.
Battousai I'm mocking people who say that
Do you not understand sarcasm? Go back to school.
These Vader comics are my favorite of your videos can't wait for more
I agree that this seemed like a rushed conclusion and anticlimactic ending.
Star Wars Theory, you do an amazing job of narrating
that was so disappointing for a battle
All that work you put into these videos is beyond awesome. Thank you thank you thank you.
What if Master Infila won the fight?
He seemed to be the strongest Jedi. He probably would go on and kill Palpatine.
"Support marvel" lol they doin alright without my money
Vader as a villain will use ANY dirty moves to win, trust me lol
yeah this fight just simply isnt possible, once again they made darth vader/anakin more powerful then he actually is, buff him to hell with plot armor, and make all jedi in existance look like they are little kids playing with lightsabers, and its just dumb, like seriously, its not even enjoyable
Man, this is awesome. I'm waiting to buy the graphic novel at the end of the year and i dont even mind spoiling the story for myself. Excellent job on all your videos.
Im just waiting for the jokes
Infill: You monster!
Vader: Bitch, I'm a Sith Lord, you know what I'm about.
Wow
3:41
^ Idk why it’s weird looking at Vader with a green lightsaber just like that one scene of him examining Luke’s lightsaber in “ Return of the Jedi “🤔
What if Luke joined Vader in ep2
5 to be correct
They'd rule the Galaxy.
Thank you for doing these animated comics I love them! Plz keep them coming! They earned you a sub :)
Who cant wait for the next Rick and Morty episode?
Omg mr meeseeks is funny
I was expecting more from the fight too. Great job keep it up
Could darth vader have kill palpatine with his robotic armor???
Corrado Barreto No
Very well constructed video, I really enjoy this. Keep these brilliant videos coming man....
Thats what the jedi gets for messing with darth vader!
Alejandro Zindel As much as I love seeing Jedi get their commupance I still have a grudge against Vader.
