    The focus on colors and logos is a bit strange for a product that will never be seen outside the plate carrier during normal use.

      You can buy low pro rigs that show most of the plates

      He said it was to seal it in resin to extend shelf life and durability. The fact that they offer colors and designs if prob just to "give a little extra" to the customer. Besides, we all know that we buy this stuff only to do what...hide it away in our vest? Why not display it ....or why not make it a cool gift to a friend or family member?

    I appreciate the fact that these guys will sell to citizens. Most of the armor companies I've looked at do this as well, but in years past there were some that wouldn't.

    This combined with their own videos and website are definitely giving snake oil vibes. Not saying they're not functional just that they're likely wayy overpriced for what they're delivering.
    Need to see some independent reviews & tests, hopefully they deliver but I'll wait to see if they're the real deal.

      Not overpriced if you compare their plates to who they are trying to compete.
      Look at how much 28791 or 28595 cost.

    I can't find their stuff online. There's a 'US Armor' site but I don't think it's the same company. MSM, you guys should link these companies in the description.

    This is very cool tech but it also can not pass LV4, so that's the main issue I have.

    • @trechtzach8151
      @trechtzach8151 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't think they intend to go after that market, or maybe that's the limitation of this tech.
      Regardless, it would be interesting and the price isn't that bad if it actually works, considering the same sort of plate would cost a lot more.

      Resin with graphene suspended in it cost about $600 per kg, or US quart in the aerospace industry. Working with such a suspension is a challenge as the graphene wants to settle to the bottom rather than stay suspended in the resin. That is to say I don't think the cost is arbitrary.

      @@darthmaul9911 If the spes are correct, 2k ish a plate isn't completely outlandish considering how much their competitors cost.
      Look at the price of a 28791 or 28595 for example.

    This is very misleading. Damage to the plate has nothing to do with backface. Backface is measured through the clay. Also m855
    Doesn’t cause a bunch of deformation to begin with.

    Looked at their page, I'm seeing a lot of red flags in the products themselves in the spec sheets
    Like the lightweight iii+ and iiia plates being the same weight, but the pistol plate has 1/4 the thickness (.700in -> .157) and are in the same price range. The base iii+ plate being 2500 and the light weight being 1700 with the same protection rating and features. Until these guys start throwing plates at reputable testing platforms (IE: buffman or oxide) I ain't going near it

    • @trechtzach8151
      @trechtzach8151 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Would be an interesting competitor to the 28791 or the 28595 if the claims are true, but yea until Buffman gets it I'm pretty skeptical.

    А задумка, то не плоха... Можно както реализовать, для "сюрприза" в окоп рашисту, или для диверсий на путях снабжений?🤔
