This song was recently added to the Communion (Proper of the Mass) on the Prescribed Line up in Ordinary Time for 2003 by MusiCaviteno of the Diocesan Ministry on Music in the Liturgy (Imus Diocese).
This music video was made in the hope to bring to a deeper reflection how it must have been when Jesus was asking Simon and Andrew in Mathew 4:19. He said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men."
It must have been hard for the fishermen to leave everything behind, their livelihood, their fishing nets, their families yet they submitted and followed Jesus to do a much higher calling: to be Fishers of Men.
This is a calling for all of us, too because we are all chosen by God as his disciples! All of us are sent by God to bear witness about God's goodness and His saving grace.
