Thank you! This was very very insightful.
Such a small world. My boyfriend used to edit videos for Amy back in 2022! I had no idea and just found her organically through this video.

Dr. Shah said “the harder part is cutting out the alcohol at night.”
The hardest part of her guidelines for me by far and away would be to wait 60-90min to have my am coffee 😭

    I am so confused now!
I have just heard that high protein diet in aged persons causes high possibility of cancer.

Great podcast again! I have a question for both: I am seeing more and more patients in my ED with GLP-1 RA or GLP-1/ GIP RA GI symptoms ( from n/v/d, to acute biliary colic, acute pancreatitis, also hypoglycemia but mainly due to severe v/d and no PO intake for 2 days), typically pts are within several months of tx and with increased dosage. Most of my pts seemed unaware of such degree of SE or if they were, they shared with embarrassment that they put up with SE b/c they were loosing weight, so they never shared this information with their MDs. Some told me that their ED visit or hospitalization was the final straw and reached a point of rethinking this strategy. How do you advise pts starting these tx? Also my observation is in non diabetic pts. I am not seeing much SE in DM pts and I have been working for yrs. Any thoughts? Thank you.

I’ve been taking Seed probiotics for 6 months. I’m not sure if I feel any better or worse. I can’t tell if it has had any effect

I keep hearing that protien triggers the hormone that tells your body that you are full but that isn't the case for me. Does it just take time? I'm a big eater and I've been battling sweet cravings by eating lean meats. I can eat 2 full size chicken breasts wrapped in bacon and a few boiled eggs but I still don't feel full. I'm not talking about craving because I'm not craving but I don't feel full at all.

Have you tried to add greens on the side with some EFA ? It will regulate the leptin(hormone responsible for hunger feeling).
Try it and let me know if you feel any difference.

In my opinion, it takes protein and fiber to feel full. I never felt full on a low car diet eating high protein. It wasn’t until I started eating a more balanced diet, adding complex carbs such as sweet potato, farro , or brown rice , that I felt satisfied after meals.

Well define low carb diet. If you were at less than 100gr of carbs per day you were pretty much brain-dead.
