Like Karen she is in a dormant state providing the tree with life or whatever. So my only explanation as to why Io would be there at the end is that like Cruz and Fionn, she made a manifestation of her desire to be by your side so she can be with you. This isnt out of the realm of possibility. Fionn did it with his clone and Cruz created the attendants from her desire to comfort those that have to carry her burden. Which is why all the attendants look like Karen. Karen was Cruz's attendent and comforted her while she was being experimented on. So tldr; We get Io back at the end, because her desire to be with us is that powerful.
but since the protagonist having a "void blood" making him/her able to use any Blood code he absorbed and because he/Her have absorbed the Queen's blood during the operation Queenslayer , he/she is basicaly the new Queen withou frenzy he is maybe able to make Io and IO copy as Cruz made for the intendants , plus the Queen's blood is the main reason of why we (as the protagonist) are still alive even after we've been killed by Jack , so maybe at the end of the true ending the reason we say "Io" is because we sens that she is still alive ( or maybe because we seen her somewhere before leaving , because the camera don't show it's still a possibility )

(The voice of my character was clearly saying "Io" with a surprised voice)
@@rngesus7641 It's not really a secret ending, I got it on my first playthrough And I think she is in a bad position every time, because in the first ending she turns to stone ( just as you said), but our hero is dead( Louis confirmed that fact) thus she can't be brought back. In the second ending she again turns to stone, but our hero is in an eternal slumber to keep the relics under control and thus not able to bring her back. In the third one she turns into a tree, I don't know about you, but I don't want to be a tree. And this "secret" ending, I believe she may have created a clone like Nicola did, but it's not the same io anymore, they are not connected, they don't share memories
I actually expected us to go rampage in the Heir ending like we did in Sekiro bad ending instead of somehow getting stabbed by Louis. Dunno how Louis managed to get behind us without our Queen MC noticing but I call bs :v

io really is the best. I didn’t like her much at first because she sorta lacked personality but as the game progressed she grew on me. She comforts you, encourages you, supports you both as your shield and your healer, and finally as shown in the to eternity ending dies for you embracing you while she turns to stone promising it to be by you’re side for eternity.
I was really depressed when I realised I hadn't collected all the Fionn vestiges and lost my chance to get his blood code, then I looked into it and discovered that the game had multiple endings depending on what you did with the successors and managed to get the other 3 endings in under 12 more hours, I'd say it was quite worth it.

Honestly thatd be a cool alternative NG+ game mode for example you get this ending and manage to escape before ya homie backstabs you You then go on a spree of whatever the fuck ya feel like in a freeroam with your former alies being boss fights
To eternity is my first ending. And my favorite. As my character at the time was built around a personal concept. So I'll take that ending any day over the others. It leaves room for more to be done. Another to come along and test their metel. To see if they have a chance at going further than we did. For we await our awakening. For when the world deems it right for us to rise. We will rise. And we will fight, fight for our lives, our loves, our home, and our friends. To eternity, May you rest well, usurper of the blood throne.
Achievement wise, there’s only the three endings: Dweller in the Dark, Heirs, and To Eternity. The last little “Io” bit was for the meticulous players that found all the vestiges for Io. Determiner of Fate isn’t an actual ending, but the achievement name for seeing all 3 endings

Same. And I even got all of Io's memories. I only did so to unlock all gifts and get all the stories, not realising it changes the ending until I was already at the final boss. That Nicola's one vestige was the only one I missed before I killed him. I did wondered why the wolf and cat bosses stayed after the fight but Nicola didn't. Now I know why... Could've gotten the secret ending if not for that damn pitfall.
Even though it's the worst ending, the Heirs ending is by far my favourite, it's depressing as shit and all that happens is that Queenslayer takes the place of the Queen and everyone else becomes your successors, but the transformation, everyone's reaction, especially Jack's for me, and the shot of Louis sitting on the throne is great, even knowing that you were the world's last chance at being saved, and you failed so hard you basically damned everyone.

all endings, with jp voices, and chapters, best ending video I've found I did everything needed for the true ending, but I didn't collect the fionn vestiges until after the boss fight so I got stuck with neutral. I earned that true ending though damnit, and I'll be damned if I'm ng+ just to see the other endings
So... in neutral ending, the Player becomes the new Queen, going into an hibernation state as they adjust to the newly found power ? So in other words...we fulfilled Mido's plan.
I got the 'To Eternity' ending and after watching all the others, it's actually my favorite anyways. The 'good' endings are friendship and giant backpacks.. meh. If this is anime dark souls it needs an appropriate end to that point ('Heirs' also fits more closely but it's not as succinct). The incredible music and prospect of the eternal throne in 'to Eternity' feels more Dark Souls to me. I'm good with that.
For the achievement, are we supposed to get all 4 endings with the same character? I got all 4 myself with 2 different characters but the achievement didn't unlock. So much work for nothing.

Yes, they refer the aragami as horrors because that was before the aragami evolved and were given the name aragami. Revenents and the queen were created to kill the horrors aka first gen aragami taking place before and at the same timeline of GE1, so technically revenents are the very first god eaters but they were made by the military, god eaters were created by fenrir years later. God eater games take place outside the red mist
I completed the game with the good ending, I may have cheated the second relic because the kid died and I didn't want that. Alt+F4 right away. What a coward I was but I didn't want anyone to die at that moment. I came here to see the bad ending however because I couldn't do it, I was too scared of failure and to see everyone else die. Just finished the game with the true ending honestly, i got lucky getting the bonus of Lo memories, i got frustrated dying constantly to the stupid AOE spell from the last boss and decided to run around the game for sidequests and by chance found the last vestige in the desert
Me: only ones I want to see surviving or returning are Io and Cruz. Best ending: revives and restores everyone except Cruz and throws away Io to do so. Fuck you. What I expected: Io summons all the relics, but does not absorb them. The player then calms all the relics, allowing Cruz to be restored while in full control of herself. As the queen is much more powerful then just a single relic, she uses her power to reactivate all blood beads trees and mistles while also maintaining the gaol of mists. Allowing revenants to live without masks and with enough food while also protected from the Horrors on the outside world. While the player and group go out to explore beyond the Gaol, Cruz will be holding down the fort. Ensuring a safe haven for all Revenants to fall back to and live in. Helping the remaining scientists to find a permanent solution for the Revenants hunger, as well as restoring the Lost by use of the Queen’s blood.
Three years later, but if you restore all of Io's vestiges you get the true ending, which has your character acknowledge Io in shock, implying that she might be there with you
I just finished the game and I wanted to see other endings. When I saw the bad and neutral ending, I felt a little sad. However, how nice it is to realize that I like a true perfectionist: cleared all the locations for 100%, completed all the quests, found all the secrets and came back many times so as not to miss anything. Briefly about my first solo playthrough: I collected all the memory fragments, restored all the bosses, shared my memories with Io and reached the real good 4 ending the first time! P.S: When will Code Vein 2 be released?
I healed my first successor (Aurora), and yes, I did it with little to no help. But I would be lying if I said a part of me doesn't question if it was the right choice. She was too hasty. Too eager to mess with one of the most fundamental aspects of humanity (mortality), which lead to all of the catastrophes the story is built on. But the truth is, she was a scientist. It was her job to research this kind of stuff. And unlike most scientists, she actually tried to use it to improve lives. She must be judged for her actions. But her judgement must come at the hands of a better equiped court. That said, after healing Nicola (I already calculated he was alive after finding about Successors), I'm not sure if I want to heal the rest of them. That's gonna depend on their stories. I thought I wanted to get the good ending. But now I realize I actually want the ending that best describes me. I am the true Successor. The final decision falls up to me.

Even though it's the worst ending, the Heirs ending is by far my favourite, it's depressing as shit and all that happens is that Queenslayer takes the place of the Queen and everyone else becomes your successors, but the transformation, everyone's reaction, especially Jack's for me, and the shot of Louis sitting on the throne is great, even knowing that you were the world's last chance at being saved, and you failed so hard you basically damned everyone.
Personally, I prefer the neutral. Hopeful bittersweetness all the way for me.

I didn't restore every eos' vestige on my fourth run (with brand new char), she didn't say "io" at the end, I didn't get Queen blood code and yet still didn't unlock the trophy (I did all 3 other ending ofc).

I think you should use the same character finish all 4 ending to receive achievement "Determiner of Fate"

Oh thank god I got the Dweller in the Dark ending. As much as it hurt that Io sacrificed herself, it’s better than everyone dying in vain in the Heirs ending or nothing changing in the To Eternity ending

I loved it. Even if it was my first time playing a "dark souls" game it was pretty fun. A little grindy (took me like 30 levels later to finally defeat the tutorial boss)

I did everything needed for the true ending, but I didn't collect the fionn vestiges until after the boss fight so I got stuck with neutral. I earned that true ending though damnit, and I'll be damned if I'm ng+ just to see the other endings
So... in neutral ending, the Player becomes the new Queen, going into an hibernation state as they adjust to the newly found power ? So in other words...we fulfilled Mido's plan.
I got the 'To Eternity' ending and after watching all the others, it's actually my favorite anyways. The 'good' endings are friendship and giant backpacks.. meh. If this is anime dark souls it needs an appropriate end to that point ('Heirs' also fits more closely but it's not as succinct). The incredible music and prospect of the eternal throne in 'to Eternity' feels more Dark Souls to me. I'm good with that.

For the achievement, are we supposed to get all 4 endings with the same character? I got all 4 myself with 2 different characters but the achievement didn't unlock. So much work for nothing.
I think, yes, many people do not get 'Determiner of Fate' because they play different characters and get ending scene separately.
To Eternity Ending is the most satisfying imo
So the true ending teases that Io is alive. But what are those horror-monsters? Are they from the God Eater-Games? I never played them.
Maybe DLC will continue on that ending.
They do look like God Eater monsters,i only played the 3rd, not much of an expert ,but they're quite similar ,Code vein could be a pre God Eater game/story.
Yes, they refer the aragami as horrors because that was before the aragami evolved and were given the name aragami. Revenents and the queen were created to kill the horrors aka first gen aragami taking place before and at the same timeline of GE1, so technically revenents are the very first god eaters but they were made by the military, god eaters were created by fenrir years later. God eater games take place outside the red mist

I completed the game with the good ending, I may have cheated the second relic because the kid died and I didn't want that. Alt+F4 right away. What a coward I was but I didn't want anyone to die at that moment. I came here to see the bad ending however because I couldn't do it, I was too scared of failure and to see everyone else die. Thank you for showing this!

Just finished the game with the true ending honestly, i got lucky getting the bonus of Lo memories, i got frustrated dying constantly to the stupid AOE spell from the last boss and decided to run around the game for sidequests and by chance found the last vestige in the desert

Me: only ones I want to see surviving or returning are Io and Cruz.
Best ending: revives and restores everyone except Cruz and throws away Io to do so.
Fuck you.
What I expected: Io summons all the relics, but does not absorb them.
The player then calms all the relics, allowing Cruz to be restored while in full control of herself.
As the queen is much more powerful then just a single relic, she uses her power to reactivate all blood beads trees and mistles while also maintaining the gaol of mists.
Allowing revenants to live without masks and with enough food while also protected from the Horrors on the outside world.
While the player and group go out to explore beyond the Gaol, Cruz will be holding down the fort.
Ensuring a safe haven for all Revenants to fall back to and live in.
Helping the remaining scientists to find a permanent solution for the Revenants hunger, as well as restoring the Lost by use of the Queen’s blood.
Three years later, but if you restore all of Io's vestiges you get the true ending, which has your character acknowledge Io in shock, implying that she might be there with you
I just finished the game and I wanted to see other endings. When I saw the bad and neutral ending, I felt a little sad. However, how nice it is to realize that I like a true perfectionist: cleared all the locations for 100%, completed all the quests, found all the secrets and came back many times so as not to miss anything. Briefly about my first solo playthrough: I collected all the memory fragments, restored all the bosses, shared my memories with Io and reached the real good 4 ending the first time!
P.S: When will Code Vein 2 be released?

I healed my first successor (Aurora), and yes, I did it with little to no help.
But I would be lying if I said a part of me doesn't question if it was the right choice. She was too hasty. Too eager to mess with one of the most fundamental aspects of humanity (mortality), which lead to all of the catastrophes the story is built on. But the truth is, she was a scientist. It was her job to research this kind of stuff. And unlike most scientists, she actually tried to use it to improve lives. She must be judged for her actions. But her judgement must come at the hands of a better equiped court.
That said, after healing Nicola (I already calculated he was alive after finding about Successors), I'm not sure if I want to heal the rest of them. That's gonna depend on their stories. I thought I wanted to get the good ending. But now I realize I actually want the ending that best describes me. I am the true Successor. The final decision falls up to me.

iv been trying to get the dweller in the dark ending but it doesn’t work for me does view one of io memories consider the 2nd dweller in the dark ending cuz of cant seem to skip not viewing her memory

Can someone help me I got the heirs, dweller in the dark, and the to eternity endings but I didnt get the determiner of fate achievement. Is this because of the extra word your character saying Io at the end and turning around. Does this small difference mean I have to play the entire game all over again just for the platinum trophy.
I believe so, but the Eos vestiges are easy to get tho
