"Throngler" comes from a legendary 4chan post in the D&D section: "The fewer words a magic sword's name has, the more dangerous it is. You don't want to be on the wrong end of Dark King Grûtmore's Edge of Annihilation, don't get me wrong, but you FOR SURE don't want to be on the wrong end of something called The Throngler. Dark King Grûtmore's Egde of Annihilation implies oher Dark Kings with other Edges of Annihilation, but there is only one way to get Throngled."
Btw, the Throngler is a DnD meme weapon, basically the idea is that weapons in RPGs tend to have ridiculously long and elaborate names, but it’s weapons like the Throngler you should be scared of the most
If a lvl 100 hero comes at you with the "Divine claymore of true justice", that's just another tuesday. But if he shows up with a sword called " the tickler" , RUN
It's so funny to see Sifd always being tempted to buy an item of another set _(since the majority of the sets were reworked),_ just because it has a good set passive, to then change his mindset to what he already established in the first place lmao 1:06:35 _a born sound engineer_
Not sure if you're aware of this mechanic, and I know I'm very late, but when you buy something from the shop, the item that replaces it is always the next tier up. So if you buy a green, the item behind it is a blue and so on. General rule of the thumb when you're in the mid-late game (making a few thousand per turn) you wanna buy everything in the shop that's worth less than 200-900 (depending on how much you're making per turn so go with your heart) and then, once everything in shop costs more than your threshold, you reroll. You basically wanna do this a few times each turn, best way to get higher tiers of the sets you're chasing.
Pro tip: Past floor 60, the throngler is a must until you find "excalibur" but the most important part of all this is using dazzle with armour multipliers, don't even need armour pieces beyond that point to beat the Perfect Slave 👍 My current set: Demonic Ring, Hunter Ring and Excalibur, no other pieces really matter if you have dazzle and armour multipliers, just dismantle some thronglers/excaliburs for more damage that you don't actually need. Abyssal Excalibur = +3,000,000% Gold + 95,000 Phys Attack on its own. Edit: Died on Floor 68 to 3 Perfect Slaves, literally the only enemy that gave me trouble, ruined my chances at floor 69.. invulnerability broke AF
@@Vlad-hh6wj I figured out the best way was to actually dismantle excaliburs for attack power and use the divine blake for the jade set to boost my armour to ridiculous amounts that the perfect slaves can't damage through 👍
@@Vennoviacan't you just beat the game by using flesh set and sacrifice HP to insane amount basically become immortal because fom what I can see the enemy only does at most likely 300k damage and that's not much if you scall HP
@@tierinie Unfortunately not, i'm on about floor 103 at the moment (i can't actually see what floor i'm on as it changes to "Floor X" after Floor 100) and 300k simply isn't enough to stall, the perfect slaves at this level do nearly 2 million damage per turn and you have to be able to tank at least 2-6 turns of that depending on how many of them you run into in each battle. Using the armour you can gain from the jade set and multipliers, i can get about 100M armour depending on how many of the slaves appear. The biggest downside to everything here is being able to get the right items to increase your stats to keep up with the enemy's scaling, the shop/market refresh costs billions per reroll and it becomes too costly to stay ahead of the curve, you only get one turn on each floor where it doesn't cost as much so you have to plan ahead but in theory you could go for a long time with this strategy but i believe the scaling will catch up with you eventually, haven't been able to test that far just yet. Edit: The main point i should have made was that you can't actually scale HP as easily as you can armour, the ephemeral armour that you gain with the jade set can stack infinitely until you get hit and it actually adds to your total armour, instead of it being a separate stat/mechanic, no matter how much you increase your HP, the enemies would scale much faster than you can. Also, increasing faith by dismantling "Believer's Locket" is one of the best ways to increase damage if you can find them as basically every enemy is an elite at this point in the game.
@@Vennovia so demonic ring, hunter ring, and jade set for rest? and then u smelt either %armor or throngler/excaliburs? also what hero do u use for passive set?
@sifd around 1:22:00 you ask if you would like to get rarer item quicker. you can ! if you keep buying items from the same slot in the market without re-rolling, they get progressivelly higher tier. So you can in theory, buy it even if you dont need it, sell it back and get a guaranteed higher tier item and "gamble" if its gonna be good for half the price of the previous item.
Idk I might be in the minority but I think I liked the prologue better. You could add more modifiers for the start, you could actually give the shop a preference for set loot, and the way this scales into late game. Your set choices doesn't seem to matter, or maybe some of the other ones do but this one didn't. Even as op as flesh was before, basically all of your billions of damage came from one setless weapon and all the things you sacrificed at the black market. All runs will be thronger plus one hunter to counter dodge, one demon for the aoe, and then the rest can be w/e. If there are more counters like hunter was for dodge you would have that as the 3rd one.
I dont like some of the changes, I really loved leveling items up, I guess it did force you to stick to one build but completely removing it seems overboard

Thanks for playing Megaloot!
the creator ( ゚□゚)
Bought it right after I heard from Sifd that the game is out, love it so far
Megaloot is megagood. 😄 Simplistic and involves math in a fun way. Gambling to keep the interest up. Good job. Educational and entertaining.
I love how quickly it becomes an absolute breeze.
This is basically the bullet heaven of inventory management
Man, when megaloot goes to Xbox? I need that

Sifd after release : Flesh + demon
