- In this vlog, join us on a vibrant journey as we explore the colorful and lively mela at ITI Rohtak in Haryana. It was an incredible day spent with my beloved family-Pooja Di, Nikki Bhabhi, and my adorable nephews, Yuvi and Naman. From thrilling rides to delicious food, the fair was packed with exciting experiences that we can’t wait to share with you all!
Our day began with an early start as we prepared to visit the mela, which has been the talk of the town for weeks. As we drove towards ITI Rohtak, the excitement was palpable in the car. Yuvi and Naman were particularly thrilled, chattering non-stop about what they were most looking forward to-Yuvi couldn’t wait to try the giant Ferris wheel, while Naman was eager to get his hands on some cotton candy.
When we arrived, the entrance of the mela greeted us with a burst of color. Banners, flags, and lights were strung everywhere, creating a festive atmosphere that was impossible to resist. The sounds of laughter, music, and distant calls of vendors added to the buzz. After parking the car, we gathered our things and entered the fair, ready for a day of fun and adventure.
*Exploring the Stalls:*
As we walked through the entrance, we were immediately drawn to the vibrant stalls lined up along the pathways. There was a stall for everything-traditional handicrafts, colorful bangles, beautiful dupattas, and intricately designed home decor. Pooja Di and Nikki Bhabhi were particularly interested in the jewelry stalls. They spent some time trying on different earrings and bangles, discussing which ones matched their outfits best.
Meanwhile, Yuvi and Naman were more interested in the toys and trinkets on display. They spotted a toy stall filled with cars, action figures, and remote-controlled helicopters. The boys were excitedly pointing out their favorites, trying to convince us to buy them just one more toy. Eventually, they each picked out a small toy as a memento of the day.
*Thrilling Rides and Games:*
After exploring the stalls, we made our way to the rides section. The first thing that caught our eye was the giant Ferris wheel, towering over the fairgrounds. Yuvi was eager to get on it, so we all decided to go for a ride. As the wheel slowly lifted us into the air, the entire mela spread out below us, a kaleidoscope of colors and activity. The view from the top was breathtaking, and we could see the entire fairground bustling with energy.
Next, we headed to the more thrilling rides-Yuvi and Naman were excited to try out the spinning teacups and the mini roller coaster. The teacups ride had us all laughing as we spun around, trying to hold on while the cups whirled faster and faster. The mini roller coaster, though small, was still enough to give us a few heart-pounding moments, especially for the boys who shrieked with excitement.
In between the rides, we couldn’t resist trying our hand at some of the classic fair games. From the balloon dart game to the ring toss, we tested our skills, hoping to win a prize. Although none of us managed to win the giant stuffed teddy bear, the experience was still a lot of fun. Naman managed to win a small toy car, which he proudly showed off to everyone.
*Food Galore:*
No visit to a mela is complete without indulging in some delicious street food, and ITI Rohtak’s mela did not disappoint. The aroma of freshly fried pakoras, sizzling tikkas, and sweet jalebis filled the air, making our mouths water. We decided to sample a bit of everything.
We started with some chaat, savoring the tangy and spicy flavors of aloo tikki and golgappas. Yuvi and Naman enjoyed their golgappa competition, trying to see who could eat the most without spilling. Next, we moved on to the more substantial dishes-paneer tikkas, aloo parathas, and some spicy chole bhature. Each dish was more delicious than the last, and we couldn’t help but go back for seconds.
For dessert, we treated ourselves to some piping hot jalebis and soft, creamy kulfi. The jalebis were perfectly crisp on the outside and syrupy sweet on the inside, while the kulfi was a refreshing contrast to the spicy food we had just eaten. As we sat down to enjoy our food, the atmosphere around us was lively, with families and friends all gathered, sharing their own meals and stories.
*Cultural Performances and Entertainment:*
After satisfying our taste buds, we wandered over to the main stage where a series of cultural performances were taking place. We were lucky enough to catch a traditional Haryanvi folk dance, performed by a group of talented dancers in vibrant attire. The energy and rhythm of the dance were infectious, and soon the audience was clapping along with the beat.
Yuvi and Naman were particularly fascinated by a magic show that followed. The magician performed a series of tricks that left them wide-eyed with wonder. From pulling a rabbit out of a hat to making objects disappear, the show was a hit with the kids and adults alike.
