It’s that time again - back to Russia for another year of medical school! 🎓 This time, I’m not just continuing my MBBS but stepping into the crucial 4th year, a phase filled with new challenges and experiences. In this vlog, I’ll be taking you along on my journey from India to Stavropol, Russia, via Moscow - sharing every bit of the emotional goodbyes, exciting travel moments, and reflections on what it means to be an international student far from home.
Leaving home is never easy, especially when you’re pursuing a demanding course like MBBS in a foreign land. Saying goodbye to family, friends, and everything familiar is an emotional rollercoaster. But as tough as those moments are, they also remind me why I embarked on this journey - to pursue my dream of becoming a doctor. Each goodbye makes me more determined to make the most out of my time abroad and bring all the knowledge and experience back home one day.
My journey starts in India, where I prepare to board a flight to Moscow, the first stop on my way to Stavropol. The airport experience itself is a whirlwind of emotions - excitement for what lies ahead, nostalgia for home, and the anticipation of what the 4th year of MBBS will bring. As I step into the airplane, there’s a mixture of nerves and thrill. This vlog captures every part of the journey, from takeoff in India to landing in Moscow, where I’ll have a brief stop before catching my connecting flight to Stavropol.
Russia has become like a second home to me, but the experience of coming back after each break is always surreal. In the vlog, I’ll show you some glimpses of Moscow as I transition between flights - from the bustling airport scenes to the small moments of calm as I reflect on my past years of studying here.
Arriving in Stavropol feels like both a fresh start and a continuation of an incredible journey. This city, with its beautiful streets and student-friendly environment, has been my home for the last few years. I’m eager to share what it’s like to study medicine here, how I’ve adjusted to living abroad, and what this new year holds for me academically and personally.
As I start my 4th year, there’s a sense of both excitement and pressure. This is the year where things get more intense, where clinical rotations begin to dominate our studies, and where we start applying everything we’ve learned in real-world settings. But despite the challenges, I’m ready to face it all head-on, knowing that every step brings me closer to my goal.
