I appreciated your comment about being careful walking on the rock jetty. I slipped and fell on a jetty a few years ago. Fortunately I wasn't hurt too much but I ruined my phone and camera when they got wet.

Doug, thanks so very much for giving us the details of waterfowl photography here, showing even f/stops, metering, important points regarding wind, sun and so on. You did it all so very clearly....and that is what those of us learning these skills really need!

Where can I get an equipment cart like you have in this video? I’ve been lokking for years for something like that.

I’m not sure I could find that cart again with a search warrant! I have no clue where we found those. Really any large tire beach cart would work just fine. Maybe even better.

this is the video i was looking for. Video for diving ducks. Awesome. Awesome as always. Can you please make a video on the technical stuff on the metering a bit. I mean why you are reducing the metering 2/3 or 1/3 steps for a white bird and all. I want to understand more so I dont make the mistake!!!

Hey Doug - what is that cart-like thing you are using to roll your gear around in? I need one of those with the big wheels.

Hi Doug, greetings from the Baltic Sea. I really enjoy your films amd Photo tips. I am a amatuer Filmer and do much more video than still photo's. Could you do a short film explaining the video equipment and settings your video man uses. The video portion is every bit as good as the still photo's- Thanks and keep on shooting.

Are you even allowed out there? That would only be an hour drive from me.

Absolutley, it's public, lots of people out walking, fishing or bird watching. Most of the birds are at the very end of jetty, be careful rocks are slippery, but flat.

Thanks for the info. I had planned to go to the 9th street bridge rookery today to practice with my new tripod and gimble but it was raining. Could probably have waited it out and got in some practice.
