    Robbie did it just as did the four other members of The Band. They all walked the walk. Who would want to diminish what they did together?

    Robbie was a pop star without being a pop star. Robbie was a real star in that he had talent, experience, substance. And being surrounded by drugs and no doubt being places where there was debauchery, Robbie never got involved in that and was a married man, a father and a brilliant role model.

      Not quite the case. Robbie did plenty of drugs and wild living. He is very open about it in his book "Testimony", however he never got involved with heroin, as did Richard, Levon and Rick. After he got married he does credit his wife with keeping him grounded.

      I'm a huge fan of Robbie's and the Band in general, but Robbie and Rick are my favorites. Robbie was no angel, which he is very open about in his book. He did plenty of drugs, but he stayed away from heroin, and he does credit his wife for keeping him grounded. He explains how he got to a point where they had to get off the road, he was right.

      Isabella Mcpherson: Robbie was in harmony and not a lead, or single, singer in the Band, that gig went to Levon, Rick and Richard, Robbie wrote all the songs, some in partnership with Rick or Levon, but Robbie never wrote one song where he heard, or seen, himself as the Lead singer.

      Robbie is here to tell it. Levon liked sour grapes--didn't write, but felt ripped off on royalties!!. Rick never denied Robbie's words. Richard was a sad story. Garth had no ill will.

      @danyellerobinson5940 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's what an autobiography is, his perspective. The Band hasn't been around for a long time. I hate when journalists ask questions about the past, then decry that he's living in the past. I think he knows that you can't please everyone. He can only speak for himself and not for his former band mates.

      You are making assumptions based on half truth. Read Barney Hoskyns biography of The Band, and Joe Forno Jr's book "Levon's Man. Levan had plenty of faults, one of was blaming someone else for this trouble, and he spend recklessly, didn't handle money well at all, then years later when he has wasted most of his money he blames Robbie.
