Bro, thank you for being so brutally honest and bringing it back to what's important...
Our collective Great Work, a compilation of our individual will, the creative force of the spark of life...
I stand shoulder to shoulder with you in The Quarry.
I will become the greatest salesperson on Planet Earth, and then serve the spiritual results of that to every last person who wants to serve God.
I'm already better than 99 percent of them, whether you believe that or not, I could outsell literally every person that you employ.
I'm gonna prove that to you in person, point out the blood sucking leeches around you, and either you will pull them off, or be forced to admit to me that YOU are a poop eater.
You're too honest of a guy to do that.
    Ironically, that's your biggest setback.

Some people will be so invested in their misunderstanding that they won't see what you're showing them. They are unable to see what will improve their lifes. By not commiting to God's purpose to why they're here, they submit to distractions. Worse yet, they are prone to attack those who are on their God given purpose. Remain comitted to God's purpose for you and you'll be more successful than you can imagine. Well said Tyler.

Dan Pena refers to this behavior as 'Tacit Approval', it's actually harmful to the person we claim to love.
I've decided to cease this behavior completely, and if I feel negative, I say it in as positive of a manner as possible, NOW, right away, and if the person hits me with even the slightest amount of BS about it, now, I simply dismiss them, and let them go.
Except for my brother who I sort of induced schizophrenia in, I'm having a hard time with that one, God or the voice in my head is villifying giving up on him, not sure which voice it is...
But I have time to become more wise, luckily, and as much as I love him, if he schizes out and tries to hurt me, I will surely strike him down where he stands, and send him straight to Moloch.

Your approach to dealing with people or events like Neil Strauss book is toxic.
The normal way is to address it with the person FIRST privately or publicly if that’s all you can do.
If the person cant empathize with you when you, and correct it, That’s a different thing then you can decide later.
Making those people accountable and getting back at them if they hurt you is legit. Of course without getting consumed.
My opinion is the real reason that you are still on that story is that you still don’t want to do deeper emotional work which accepted behaviors and people that probably led to those things.
The idea that you just put horse blinders on always is TOXIC and comes from TRAUMA.
You still have a lot of difficult emotional work to do and instead of putting your blinders on, you should address that emotional work.
When people told you in the past what they wanted in those relationships,
Yes it’s nice to say “what are we going to created in the future together”, but ultimatly if in the present you can’t listen and emathize in the presen’t, the future becomes a distraction.
The whole “let’s think about how to help people” can very well be a huge distraction.
And people sharing how they feel vulnerably is not a MEMEME thing. It is the base of good communication.
When in your videos you yell I want the Lakers seats and the Mountains etc. Go back and watch. It Honesty sounds like it comes from trauma anger bitterness and ego. Even if you get those, you’ll still have the underlying emotions that created those things if those emotions are there in the first place. Nothing wrong with wanting what you want.
No, people don’t learn to not jump a high spot from looking at others… people have this thing where they can imagine what happens accuratly.
No, the world is not just Hard working Conservatives who never complain and Lazy inebriated distracted liberals who complain all the time.
    Much LOVE.

    • @OlympusLaunch
      @OlympusLaunch 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

Question, have you ever personally experienced a public shaming event on the level of that book? It's easy to judge harshly regarding things you've never been through before.
Walk a mile and all that.
I've followed Owen for a long time and I've seen him do a lot of work on himself to heal those traumas, and he acknowledges frequently that he has experienced trauma in the past, and still has work to do.
To be honest with you, and I say this with love not derision, I don't think you understood the core message of this one at all.
Horse blinders as he is talking about are not toxic, he is giving you the key to how to perform way above average, by eliminating distractions.
Are you suggesting that we should all focus on haters and on public perception?
If not, what exactly is your critique of that approach? I've personally found this type of approach (focus on the work, ignore the bullshit) to help me focus on what actually moves the ball forward in my life rather than on haters and other peoples opinions.

@@OlympusLaunch I don’t appreciate your ad hominem Bs.
It’s easy to do ad hominem of different people.
Ive walked miles. I really don’t appreciate you assuming that I haven’t.
I just said it, emotional work.
To be honest, I mean this with love not derision, I don’t think you understand what I’m saying and missing out.
Putting blinders on is bypassing that work.

    • @OlympusLaunch
      @OlympusLaunch 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@mikerico6175 I guess I just disagree on that. I don't feel that I insulted you I asked a question. If you have experienced such events before I'd actually be curious to know how you dealt with them.
I was never suggesting you have no life experience, just that social shaming on that level is something that you likely can't understand until you experience it. (I certainly never have)
I still feel you don't get the core message of this one but that's chill, just presenting an alternate perspective.
I think focusing on constructive criticism from people you trust and respect and ignoring the opinions of people who just want to tear you down to feel superior is a healthy thing not toxic.
Anyways best of luck with your journey, I only commented because I felt that it would provide some value to other people who read this thread later on.

@@mikerico6175 Listen on reflection I can understand if my initial comment came across as condescending although that was the opposite of my intent. Hard to communicate tone through text ya know.
To be honest my opinion is you shouldn't care about my opinion, I don't know you, my opinions of you don't matter at all. I'm just some random dude on the Internet.
I know that's a weird thing for me to say, my point is just that I'm not important here, and neither is my opinion, all that matters is the truth.
The only reason I commented initially is honestly because I felt like you were missing the value of the video via misinterpretation, and I wanted to provide a counter argument.
I don't have any ill will and I'm certainly not trying to push anything on you. I only really comment on YT if I think there's a chance for a constructive dialogue. I was genuinely interested to hear your thoughts on my counterpoints, and I'm totally willing to cede ground to a good argument.
Regardless, I don't want this to be a piranhas situation for either of us.
If my message didn't come across the way I intended them I apologize. I'd like to nullify any dense energy that resulted from that miscommunication, and barring that, I'd like to make it clear that I genuinely wish you the best.
