    Hey guys, you may remember in some seminars I've spoken about the General Sherman at Sequoia National Park, which is only 3 hours from Los Angeles. Anyway it's one of my favorite places to visit around LA, and this video is shot there. Hope you enjoy it, and I'd encourage you to visit here in person -Owen

    The greatest aspect of your video is that you live and breathe what you speak. You've been there and you went on the journey up the mountain to climb through and out of those paradigms many are stuck in. That radiates from your eyes and gives hope to a lot of people who are on that journey themselves and just need a little light to keep them climbing to the top. Great video 🙏 Superior content 💪 Elite ideas 💥

    You deliver this message so well that I can not even imagine anyone else doing but you Owen. Your teaching style is so dynamic and expressive and topped with knowledge that I just can not fathom it. Super insightful metaphors in this video especially the web vs. pillars and antifragile. Godzilla is kind of freaky in absorbing the destruction set out against it, great metaphor. Thank you for shooting this in a beautiful location it makes me want to visit there and it makes the video so much more lively. When you started talking about individualism and collectivism it reminded me of the amazing movie, Braveheart. Super nuanced, I can not wait to see the other beautiful videos you have been racking up for the past couple years.

    We can draw an expansive yet straightforward explanation of what constitutes the core of this sought-after attribute. The analogy with the General Sherman tree serves as a powerful metaphor, giving us profound insights into the nature of confidence.
    **Confidence as an Indestructible Force**
    Confidence, at its peak, is described as towering and indestructible. Much like the General Sherman tree - the largest known tree in the world that has withstood the test of time - true confidence is viewed as a robust, deeply-rooted state of being. Just as this ancient tree remains standing through centuries of environmental challenges, unwavering confidence endures despite life's inevitable ups and downs.
    **Building Confidence Like a Bird's Nest**
    The process of building confidence is likened to the way a bird constructs its nest - intricately and step by step. Our brains, with their synaptic pathways, form the foundation of our confidence, similarly to how twigs, sticks, and leaves come together to create a nest. Over time, just as the bird carefully places and arranges these elements, we develop our confidence by integrating experiences, knowledge, and self-perception.
    **The Pillar-Based Confidence Framework**
    True confidence should be constructed on multiple foundational beliefs about one’s abilities, akin to pillars supporting a structure. This type of confidence is adaptable and resilient because it isn't based solely on one aspect of oneself. If one pillar is challenged or knocked down, the others remain intact, stabilizing the individual’s self-belief and allowing for recovery and continued growth.
    **Confidence Beyond Agulation and Approval**
    There is a sharp distinction between genuine confidence and the superficial confidence that builds upon others' praise or societal recognition. In the transcript, the speaker recounts experiences of adulation from the crowd, which can falsely prop up one's self-image. However, enduring confidence isn't disproportionately influenced by external validation; it's something more profound and self-sustaining, not easily swayed by others' opinions or reactions.
    **Inner Confidence Through Self-Validation**
    Confidence, in its essence, emanates from within - a concept of self-validation rather than seeking approval from the collective. It's about recognizing your individual value and capabilities without predominantly relying on the group or external metrics of success. The emphasis is on inner strength and validation, where self-worth is not dependent on comparison or competition with others.
    **The Role of Spiritual Presence in Confidence**
    Supreme confidence is intimately tied to being present in the moment and connected to a deeper part of oneself that is beyond superficial identifications. It revolves around recognizing an infinite dimension within, which isn't needy for external approval or validation. Instead, it's content and self-assured, driven by a spiritual understanding of one’s inherent worth and potential.
    In essence, the core understanding of confidence, as depicted in the transcript, is about an internal fortress, as majestic and enduring as the General Sherman tree. It's not merely constructed through external praise but is built through a combination of resilient self-beliefs that create a strong, adaptable foundation. It’s about having an inherent spiritual realization of one's value and being present in the moment, leading to a serene yet potent form of self-confidence that stands the test of time.

    I understand the place where you are coming from. I also coached for +15 years, and I am a radical guy I gave my life to pick up.
    I had the same "deep feeling" or thinking too deeply, using mushrooms can cause you that as much as LSD. I really don't recommend just doing it because what drugs actually do, is to limit "your whole" and show only one very concentrated percent of the total who you really are.
    Drugs like cocaine actually cut Dopamine, even ppl think it releases, it releases more serotonin, part of the brain for fight, survival, (we are talking the same thing, but you call dopamine in your videos.) I actually separated and I am writing a book about it, Dopamine for me is divided into 3 different parts and Serotonin in 5:
    1 = A quick shot of Dopamine.
    2 = achieved something like a Score into a videogame, or getting a girl's number
    3 = succeed in your career large amount of cash, a dealbreaker
    Serotonin,
    1 = Train boxing, do skate, climb mountains.
    2 = fight for real, survive, escape for survival, hide, being into a shooting scene
    3 = kill someone, stab someone, achieve vengeance
    4 = cocaine or sex
    5 = ?
    The more specific understanding you have of those phermones, the better. In ancient paganism, gods were divided into several gods rather than saying, "God is angry," "No, that is Aries, the God of War." By separating, you truly understand rather than passing judgment.
    I advise against starting with cocaine for beginners. I never tried drugs until I was 21 years old, and even though I smoked marijuana for a year before quitting, I do not think drugs are for me. Anything that locks you down, even if it is food, is not good for you. You need to be by yourself and rely only on yourself because the effects of drugs are really something that already exists inside of you; you are not gaining anything; rather, you are uncovering something strong that already exists within you.
    In any case, I have to test everything as a coach, and all I have to do is take a tiny bit of cocaine-about 0.04 mg per day-to find out that I was depressed but did not realize it, that I was controlling my deep thoughts and depression, and that everything was clearing up fast. I slept with one girl every week, acquired thirty phone numbers, and dated multiple women in one evening because I was not in the unconscious drama mode.
    Even though the video is valuable, I feel you're a bit there. My recommendation, tag a name to what you feel, and you really need to ask yourself, IS THIS THINKING 100% OF ME, IS THIS WHO I AM. And once you recognize it, you can easily quit that state. Change, transform, metamorphosis. I saw you changed your mood at 1:08:06, because you're an intelligent coach I believe you aware of it.
    By the way by any means saying you should not be sincere, I believe instead you could invite 30 people and make a fire, for example that would give a different approach to this talk. And tell stories and sing, that's an ultra-experience.
    I also realize that you are mostly talking about how people deceive each other and why nobody seems to get this. I feel like that a lot, especially when I listen Supertramp. Life is love! Not thinking and most people are selfish without realizing, and if people stop competing, there is a good soul inside each and every one of them, ready to learn and watch the cycles of life.
    I believe people are not getting this stuff. I did a lot of game and realized just having sex for fun and picking women like a serial killer, was not for me (the only thing I wanted), Women is not all, I would be lying if I said is nothing. What matters most, though, is ME, my PRESENCE, my freedom, and my choice-far more than all those girls put together.
    I officially tested all drugs and quited them; no drugs will ever help; improve your life and face the demons. In the end, I gave up coke after three months because I do not need it, but it was important to release some serious obscure thinking that I was caring, that is frequently FALSE thinking, FALSE limiting beliefs.
    I believe a human must find any resources available to help themselves, but not be lazy and depending on anything, fighting with another people is a good idea, not physically but:
    1. Get rock bottom
    2. And face directly to your demons FACE DIRECTLY TO YOUR DEMONS. AND LOOK HIM IN THE EYES!
    3. AND DESINGAGE you're not him, he is not real, he was your creation, but your lost control of the imagination, you wondered about him too much,
    It is possible that life is a staged dream, a struggle between "reality" and "imagination," but if you are awake, why must you dream?

    I know what hes talking about, just quit coffee and all drugs, start being CREATIVE (but also educated enough) in the gym and go there every single day, you will learn the rest on the way because YOU being able to move freely in every possible direction gives you the confidence and ability to think in every possibly position your body is in.

    As a pink-haired individualist and collectivist living in Boulder who appreciates both Christianity and Buddhism and aspects of all religions, I appreciate how balanced you are when interrogating these common stereotypical dualities (ex. Texans vs Portlanders, conservatives vs. “dirty hippies”) when analyzing all of this. Jesus was probably the biggest collectivist and the biggest individualist for sacrificing himself to save billions and billions and billions of people for the rest of time. I love the Bhagavad-Gita and just studied it in my yoga history class. It’s motivating me to finish my queer fantasy novel without focusing on outcome or worrying about bullies or validation. Your video really helps reiterate this. Our western world conditions us to base our confidence on achievements and competition. Fighting against that conditioning can be tiring but worth it to get out of the grasps of delusion-driven pain and dopamine.

    That tree is gorgeous. Awesome message, very bold to pick out some of the faults in each frame of thinking. 1 thing I have noticed that I will challenge you on, is I notice alot of Christians fall into the frame of seeing Muslims as less than or sometimes worse, and I challenge you to explore that culture more, I know you will be surprised if you open your heart to the culture, as I have and I mainly still associate with Christianity. Anyway, I will wait by my phone for the dinner invite as I am a content creator😂🤞

    Owen love the content. I was watching your 3 hour meditation video yesterday and learned there’s a lot of inner darkness in me, and I feel this calling in me that would hurt people. Luckily I have a functioning brain and won’t be breaking the law. There is little self trust in myself, and a lot of dark energy. What should I do?
