Love those dragonflies! They have a fairytale quality to them. Love the way you explain everything that you do so well. Yesterday I did a cat after watching your video and it turned out adorable! Thank you for sharing your art with us!💕💮💕
so fun to see your studio!!!!!! Love to see where people work and play. Get ideas also to organize my room. Also really really enjoyed the lovely , quiet music.
What a fun tutorial! I will have to try my hand at these dragonflies. Also, I love the soft and gentle guitar music you used for this tutorial, it made me feel completely relaxed that I almost fell asleep lol. Thank you, Diane for another wonderful video.
Happy Mother's Day Diane. Love your studio. The Dragonflies are wonderful. Thank you, for always for sharing your art. Loving the practice with your tutoriaals. Blessings and peace.
Just found you and I am so thrilled. Love your work, your instructions and your attitude. You made me so happy today. Thanking you so so much for sharing your gift. God bless and I am not religious! You inspire me.
Thanks so much for your lovely comment Patricia, I really appreciate you letting me know that you found me - so WELCOME to the channel and I hope you enjoy lots and lots of the back catalogue as well as the new videos up and coming! Thanks so much for your support and God bless you too!!
Love the sofr colors and looseness. I had a dragonfly in my windown in my kitchen this week. I got a close up photo ov it on my cell phone. The details on its wings are so amazing.
Love this one Diane. I find painting dragonflies so relaxing and am now hoping to buy the A Gallo paints....beautiful array of colours. Thanks again for sharing 😁🙏
Life's been busy and I'm just now catching up on my favorite artists tutorials. Thanks for sharing a glimpse of your studio. There's something very fun about getting a peak behind the scenes of an art studio. These little dragonflies are magical! There's such a soft movement in them and as always, such a peacefulness watching you paint. Oh, and those little leaves you delicately dabbed and brought to life, are a gorgeous addition. Thank you also for your review of materials.
Welcome back Carolyn, have missed your wonderful comments and generous support. Hope you are well and your family also, and that you're now getting a bit more time for painting. Sending love and prayers xxx
Love the way you do these. My speaker went out on my laptop so all I can do is watch. This happened a few weeks ago. I did get the Kuratake nouveau set coming tomorrow. I want the big set. That's next. lol. Thanks for the awesome tutorial.
Another wonderful tutorial. Thank you for sharing your knowledge of watercolour paints and for explaining the granulation pigments. I love these dragon flies, another addition to the ones I've done already.. keeping us busy Diane 😅 Have a lovely mothering Sunday tomorrow 💜😊
Lovely soft colors on these. Hope I can get something similar. Thanks for the studio tour. I have a corner in the dining room. One day it might get organised. 😉
You are so welcome! Even a corner is good. I feel like my desk is a corner in a petting zoo right now with two cats, two dogs and a baby wren sharing my space!
Lovely Diane. Dragonflies are so amazing...I think I must invest in these Gallo paints, Happy Mother's Day to myself! Loved the view of your studio and especially thank you for talking about granulation. It's what I expected, but not quite sure. And I will finally get out my metallic paints...
Yes, we need to buy ourselves Mothers Day presents every week I think. I don't buy myself enough flowers. Going to start that soon! I think you'll enjoy the Gallo paints, they are restocking on May 22 apparently, it's a mad rush to get them each fortnight!!!!!
I recently became a subscriber. I like watching how other artists studios are set up to pickup some ideas. I'm nosey too. It was surprising how fast A Gallo sold out on the products. Italy is 12 hours ahead of me so when they notified they of the restocked, several hours past. I wanted the 48 -- sold out, so I got the classic 24. I know next time to wake up early. May 22 next restock.
Thanks so much Candy. If you follow this link it will take you to my Amazon Shop and you will see a set by Schmincke and a set by Daniel Smith which are a good starting point. There's more options too but these two are a reasonable price: www.amazon.com/shop/dianeantonestudio/list/L7XAJ0SVZAT7 Hope this helps x
Diane thank you so much for all the information you put into your videos. I would like to ask you about paper on the screen your paper always looks really white mine seems on off white. Can you purchase white sheets?
Thank you so much! So glad you enjoy them. Watercolor paper does come in different shades of white; what brand are you using? The Bockingford I used for this painting is quite white, and I often use Etival which is also white, and Fabriano too. There is also a bit of a change of the actual color from the filming and editing process which might make it look whiter on your screen than it is in reality. Hope this helps x
Loved the studio tour. It's nice to see your setup. I was hoping to catch a glimpse of Arthur. He hasn't visited in a while. This painting looks easy and fun. I think I'll do one tonight, or maybe do several on different papers I have. Do you find once you start playing with the starry colors you get carried away? I do!
Thank you so much! So glad you enjoyed it and I thank you for your support x Arthur will be making a star appearance soon - at the moment he is embarrassed (not!) about landing a baby wren in our lap for rescue! Yes, once the shiny things come into play they can easily take over the show!!!
This was so interesting. If it’s possible to keep the camera/phone cam steadier that would be wonderful. When the camera swings around rapidly I get motion sickness, feel I’ll, have to close my eyes and then I miss a lot. The same with moving the papers around (ex: showing the dragonflies, and the paper used for painting), changing directions rapidly.
Lovely, your paper shuffling is louder than your commentary , I thought you would like to know in case you can adjust it ? Thank You for the demo love all your top tips as well x
If those are real birds in the background.. I would so rather listen to them and you than repetitive music. Just love these dragonflies…. I am so going to give these a try,,, Thankyou…

Love this video as well. From the sounds of the birds singing outside, you obviously have a lovely home full of harmony!❤️
