How To Tie The Double Bowline/Water Bowline Knots

Two variations of the Bowline Knot that can be very useful. The Double Bowline offers some added strength over the standard Bowline, while the Water Bowline is excellent for nautical applications where a rope can become water saturated and difficult to undo knots.

Water Bowline, my favourite! I use it when I am sport climbing. More secured and easier to remove compared to figure 8.

Never heard of the water bowline b4. Cool, just secured with a clove hitch, basically?

With the water bowline, the tension is still the same on both ends so I don't see how that would be easier to untie than a regular bowline.

They can both be very useful. I use the Bowline Knot and it's variants more than any other I believe.
