    Great review! I ended up going with the Motocaddy, when you see them side by side you can instantly tell the Motocaddy is built so much better. The only problem I found was the Motocaddy accessories are of poor quality and quite expensive for what they are. I ended up finding a company called Stadium Golf who make an All In 1 accessory for the Motocaddy, it carries everything you need in 1 tight unit, and the umbrella holder that comes with it is so much better than anything else out there.

      I got the same accessory after my Motocaddy ones started failing, it's so good, just wish I had bought it first

    Have early version of fx3...no issues with it....play in rain...its been soaked...no issues...no hill issues or traction issues...both of these trollies are great.....but even if you chose one or the other ......there is always the chance you get a lemon!...either way....which then makes you jaded to that brand.....thats the nature of electronics these days....cars/tv's/wash machines etc...

    If you are over 6ft tall the low handle, even at max adjustment, on the FX will give you back ache. Tall people need the M1. However there is a batch of M1 in 2022 that have a very weak backlight - always check the M1’s LCD in sunlight before you buy.

    • @GolfGuyReviews
      @GolfGuyReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s fair about the FX3 handle height, it’s just about ok for me on max and I’m 6ft.
      Interesting about the screens on the M1, you can see the difference between my two trolleys in the video, the M1 isn’t nearly as bright as the FX3

    Update on my experience. First Powakaddy CT6 went back after USB failed on day one and then noise from gearbox a couple of weeks later. Replacement trolley suffered same noise shortly after delivery and on return from factory "repair" USB was not working. Insisted on money back and bought motocaddy. Far superior build quality, including the accessories. I don't know what has happened to Powakaddy (my previous one lasted 30 years) but it isn't the same as it used to be - steer clear!

    • @GolfGuyReviews
      @GolfGuyReviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the update. Sorry to hear about your pretty rubbish experience. While I didn't experience any issues with my Powakaddy, I would say the build quality does feel better on the Motocaddy - at least between the two models I tried in this video

    I’m on my fourth Powakaddy. I have a 36 hole FX3. It’s 29 months old and it will be the last due to poor components. I had a front wheel bearing collapse, one of my playing partners had the same issue. Another problem on Saturday, the handle will not collapse properly. The top folds over, but the bottom part will not collapse. Another issue for me is the fact that the battery is guaranteed for two years, but if you register, it’s five years, why? One of my partners has a Motokaddy 3 years and has not experienced any issues whatsoever. So it will definitely be Motokaddy for my next one.

    Thanks for sharing Kevin. Currently using a Powakaddy CT6 which i purchased in June 2020 but it misbehaved today and would not operate so it has to go back to the technician. Luckily its still under warranty but still the hassle of being without a trolley.

    Brilliant video mate prefer the motorcaddy anyways I love the fact that they have heated mitts for the winter not got the trolley yet but that’s a big win.
    I would love to see what the difference is between the new s1 and m1 the only thing I can see is the folding system apart from that nothing else. My course is hilly and around the 12th tee I am tired so want to invest in a electric trolley to see if if my fatigue is better but don’t know wether to save £50 and get the s1 🤷🏻‍♂️

    But why didn't you compare the Powakaddy CT6 versus le Motocaddy M1? In my opinion the CT6 is the one model in Powakaddy lineup that is competing against the M1 (and not the FX3).

    • @GolfGuyReviews
      @GolfGuyReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching Clément. Pretty simply answer really…I don’t own the CT6 🤣 sadly I’m not making enough money from the channel to be able to buy any electric trolley I want to review or compare, so for now, I have to work with what I’ve got 😎

      @mugz_1437 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      CT6 is the same level as the m3 or m5? The reason it’s around £850😂 both standard models was on this video witch is correct🙈 FX3 and M1 are the first standard models range around £550.

    Buy the FX3 over the FX5 - unless you want the USB - read on for why . . .I bought the FX 5 yesterday over the FX 3 thinking that the on screen displays would be beneficial. This is not a GPS version but I did plan on using the distance run element to see how far I walked each round. What a waste of time that proved to be. The centre (on / off) control button is a bit of pain to constantly be pushing on and off so I powered in on to be on constantly and controlled the trolley by swivelling the outer rim. Under power the yards increased but when the controller was turned to zero on downhill or flat segments of the course the yardage counter ceased to count. I called Powacaddy today about it once I got home and they confirmed that the trolley has to be under power 1-9 to get the yardage calculator to work. When I pointed out that my trolley was powered on but being pushed / freewheeled with the controller set to zero and it didnt tot up the yardage they said pretty much tough shit, it is what it is. By having it configured like this the yardage calculator is in essence a waste of time. I have no interest in the calorie counter or the other settings as they probably only work with the controller set to 1 or more. This make the on screen display a bit of a useless part of the trolley so it would be better to buy the FX3 and save yourself about a hundred pounds

      @@GolfGuyReviews me neither until i started using it. Yesterday was a very wet day on our course and the cart was powered for most of the time so the yardage was counting most of the time as well. Our course is just a little under 7000 yards and i was playing well so no big deviations from walking the fairways to look for balls etc. The trolley though counted over 10,000 yards on the display. Even if i had been wayward I wouldnt have walked nearly another 2 miles to play my ball out of the rough so my conclusion is that the yardage counter is totally unreliable too. With most electric trolleys the trolley goes and stops by tapping the raised central button to power on and power off. With the Motocaddy the stop start button is inset and flat in the centre of the control wheel making it more difficult to do this which is why I have it powered on all the time and operate the trolley by rotating the outer wheel. Most of what I'm saying isnt exactly giving top marks for this trolley but if you ignore the screen and the on / off button and control the trolley by rotating the wheel it isnt that bad, you are just paying a premium for things that you dont need and that dont work well anyway. It picks up speed quickly and easily and collapses well too. I just wish I hadnt broken my Hill Billy which had been my constant companion for over 15 years.

    Biggest flaw I found with both is: If you put them to stand on uneven ground they can tumble over and the screen is the first bit to hit the ground. Its very easy to crack/break on the motocaddy. Also, powakaddy doesn't offer a park brake on any of their models which is annoying for us hilly course players. The ebs and dhc work very well though.
