Thanks for the content.. I use wD40 but it had loosened the security screws. WD is not a lube, it seems toalso attract dust dirt and lint. What are you other folks using for oil to lube your multi tools? This is for my edc surge graphite blk that. Thanks in advance !
I clean my tool with Benchmade Blue Lube cleaner then I treat the steel with WD-40 this indeed provides rust protection, as a lubricant I use Benchmade Blue Lube.

Just all kinds of nope. WD-40 is not a cleaner. It's a water displacement and lubricant liquid but definitely not a solvent. You're just adding more dust and crap to your leatherman after "cleaning" it. Got to only a minute and a half.
@@Sheepleton this is straight from Leatherman’s website: “Cleaning can be done with a low viscosity oil (e.g. WD-40, Liquid Wrench, CRC 3-36), which helps force out moisture trapped in the joints” The name “WD-40” literally means “Water Displacement- formula #40”. It is not a lubricant, but it is a decent weak solvent. You still need to use a lubricant (oil or silicon spray) after cleaning it.

It's been 9mo's, you happy with your guys performance?
Can you use stainless steel polish to have a glass finish on the leatherman??
Hey I’m not sure as I’ve never tried it. I would assume you could with a polishing/buffing wheel though.
Hallo I have polished my leatherman wave + the one side so I was just using the polish wheel
Great video. Thank you!
What about a light coating of ATF or used motor oil?
Thank you for sharing this!
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for video. But WD40 is toxic. Seems using the multi tools knife for food is not recommended. It's not better choice to clean it.
There are food grade cleansers they use to clean industrial food machines
Video starts at 0:49

@@HammerIIHammer Is this how far you will go with your satire?

Funny, Leatherman recommends WD-40 to use as a solvent. Guess you know more than the manufacturer does...
