Need more f10 content, Such a beautiful car man 👌
I’m the beginning of the video he said he sold it
@@Oth3r_333well he did say his cousin has it. So video of it was or might still be possible.😐
Im afraid to get a pre 2014 550i cause the non n63tu issues.
Wdym? 2014-2016 n63tu is good bro, I would suggest
@@exzoduss3089 I just hear a lot of bs with those n63
@@exzoduss3089
2014-2016 way better than the old version
My Saab uses the lug bolts also😂 Hate them things. Found your channel trying to do some research on these 550i's. Im in the market for another fun daily driver, and just found a 2014 Msport for $10k. And its got me thinking lol How do ya know if its the N63 or N63tu????
Ive got a 2011 bmw 550i and I was wondering if you can run catless without a tune. Im looking at jb4 but noting really says anything about going catless. Should I get a tune first?
From what I have read indies not throw an engine light.
I just got done watching the full clip for the H&R springs install as mine just broke on my 11' 535xi. I was curious if you got the measurements after it has settled to see if what they claim is close to what you got. Thanks
It is close. It took a while to settle then I had a 4 wheel alignment done. Takes quite a while though
@@AutoDad thank you!
i was going to but h&r springs for my 535xi. but yours broke? could you tell me more
I believe he meant that his stock springs broke not the H and R
@@acriptyc5953 my stock springs broke, not the H&R. I have had them on for 2 days now, little stiffer than stock (also replaced all the struts), love the side profile of the car now (not too aggressive). I do have some road noise now, but I haven't gotten an alignment yet, so hopefully that will fix those issues. Lots of trial and error as the winters here rusted a lot of other components I needed. Overall, love the H&R springs thus far.
Nice job but all that to save $100 at the BMW dealer ?
Save $100 for what?
I am probably going to be purchasing a F 10 550i 2013 Monday I’m a little bit afraid of the N63 do you have any recommendations
Just make sure it was taken care of. Carfax
Make sure it’s the N63TU!
I’ve got one. I live in Australia. Treat it well. It will be ok.
@james randy bmw mechanic sometimes means nothing. I’m also a certified tech and don’t use my credentials for more than what it is. I’m a a problem solver. people have issues bcz they don’t take care of them. you’re buying a high powered /high compression twin turbo.. not a regular engine. treat it accordingly. N63”TU” is a “Technical Update” and is far better than the old n63. Trust me, I know more about the n63 platform than most “mechanics” could ever dream of.
These cars most likely have been taken care of. My cousin purchased mine from me. He immediately went home and researched how to get more power out of it. He messaged me and said hey I can get 700hp out of it just by upgrading the turbos. I said yeah, but the engine may not hold it. I wouldn't recommend it. Meth injection on the other hand can boost hp and help cool the combustion chamber at the same time.
