The Song of Glory, during the Song period of Southern Dynasty in China, there were many social problems and disadvantages emerging and accumulating. The State Supervisor Liu Yikang (acted by Qin Hao) was still inexperienced and unfamiliar with the politics of the country; therefore, he chose to hide himself silently. Meanwhile, the Heroine Lige (acted by Li Qin) took advantage of the concubine's birthday feast and danced at the feast in an attempt to assassinate Liu Yikang. However, she became the very person both Liu Yikang and the famous Criminal Lu Yuan competed for in order to achieve their perspective targets. 结局太残酷了。。。剧情一般，但是李沁演技一流。等待李沁的下一个作品
love this drama, hate the ending. she did a fantastic job in her role as assassin, as lover , as friend, as daughter. she give her complete emotion to every role And I love it.

I originally thought it was a sad ending but I believe they have a happy ending together. Near the end of the episode he says “it’s almost time” and he brings her wind chime out to hang it up. While they are eating, he says her cooking has not improved, they actually clink their glasses and end up hugging each other at the end as they look at their wind chimes. A great drama, very well done. Congratulations to the actors and all involved in this production! I will miss these characters. . . .

Not a happy ending 🫤 she died. 🤨 This last scene only shows Chinese beliefs that they will meet in the afterlife 😏 Which means nothing to rest of the people of this world 🌍 No one has come back from death 💀 so that afterlife is pretentious 🤨
I think because Buddhism was prevalent as a religion at one point there are a lot of dramas where people are reborn or come back from the afterlife. Call it science fiction if you prefer.

我看完這戲只能說每部戲本身沒有好或壞，祇有戲想要傳達什麼給觀眾？但這部戲我要替所有演員拍手說聲好，辛苦了。這戲剪接和後製部份，是有些讓人需要花時間按個人瞭解做結尾。不是每個人都喜歡這樣的方式，會讓人混亂，不知最後想表達的是什麼？。戲本身是沒有一定的模式來呈現，一部戲是對是錯是好是壞，要靠每位觀眾喜不喜歡接不接授，但一定有一個啟有一個尾，觀眾內心跟這戲做個收。當然現在很喜歡開放式的收尾，讓觀眾跟這自己喜歡的方式來收尾，沒有對錯好壞，祇是整個剪接後製效果需要更清楚，這樣留給觀眾有更寬的想像空間。要不可惜整個團隊和演員這麼努力。我想這是製作方和導演以後要思考的。

结局应是皇帝兄病死（可能是被毒死）彭城王当家，骊妃成皇后。
沈骊歌坚强不屈、聪明又古灵精怪，不会轻易认死，而且之前说了无数次两人不离不弃，这可能又是他们的一个计，而且也没看见沈骊歌在秋千上喝酒后吐血......所以终剧留给你我无限遐想。I think it must be a happy ending! 大家释怀吧 🤗
Yes it is a happy ending, as you can see at the end they were together happily 3 years later. Liu Yikang’s brother plotted to fake Shen Lige death with poison and rescued her in case the Emperor would not give her a pardon.

I think she died, and he is just living in memories of her. When he says “it’s almost time” I think he dies too. Heck it could be also a fake death. But I think she is really dead.
这部剧的所有演员都很绝，演技很好，值得点赞👍🏻
Finally one drama that the prince siblings love one another and the first wife and concubine like each other. Some vilains could had more suffering before death, but it´s acceptable. The lead couple was so cute together... It´s not a sad end completely, a bittersweet end, depends how you see the last scene... Some parts are a little bit repetitive, but for this we have foward button. It´s worth my time.
I really am not happy you at the end it was a great ending but it’s not the one I wanted. This is the one of the better ones I’ve ever seen.

This was a great series! But I feel let down by the final episode, 53. It was completely out of Lige's character to find her family and friends had disappeared, to not find them. It's also not in her character to give up on a situation. They would have worked on finding a situation. If she had in fact taken poison, what happened to her body? If Lige had really died, the Shen family would have said something at that dinner scene about her in remembrance. I feel after such a long drama, the script could have been better written with more clear closure. This should have been 2 episodes, but I find so many of these dramas go on and on, and then the last episode is to fast in the closure and too much time is spent with flashbacks instead of acting. It's as if they ran of production money and had to wrap up quick.
It seems on reflection, that Peng Chen and Lige were going to meet at the swing and chime tree and that's why he showed up there straight from seeing the Emperor. There must have been some arrangement for them to separate for a certain time period, 3 years. I can't believe her mother, with her history of mental breakdowns, would be so composed, even after 3 years, if Lige had really died. The woman was a wreck for 18 years or whatever it was, since her daughter went missing. Not even the birth of a grandchild would, ease her pain of loosing her daughter so soon after her husband and son.
Peng Chen was too composed as well at the end. A love that strong would have destroyed him if Lige had died, so it would seem there was some arrangement for her to stay alive.
I'm wondering if there was something cut out of this last bit of the story. The last episode seems so choppy and inconsistent with the rest of the drama.

Ok....the ending is rather confusing.....but if you pay more attention....then you will understand that yes...she did drink the poison...yes Yikang did manage to get from the Emperor the permission to save her life and not execute her.....but I think that the Emperor put some terms for pardoning her life. That she wouldn't be allowed to be his official wife anymore....that she couldn't live in Prince's Mansion for example hence he wasn't with her all these years...hence her family couldn't be with her as well. She must have been saved from the poison and stayed hidden for three years. Those three years were either set from the Emperor or the Prince himself until he finishes with the New Policy work that needed to be done. Then most likely Yikang could leave the Palace and the Court so he can be with her. I think his brother took the responsibilities of the Court so he can be able to resign to be with her and live as commoners. In the end they were indeed together, yes I also thought it might be a hallucination but turned out that it wasn't and indeed was with her. Also Sanbao when the cushion, she had made back then, was patched up and gave it to Yikang said that Consort Li will be happy to know it is fixed. If she was dead why Yikang would be so happy and content when he sat on that cushion and later on when he finished his work with the New Policy? He did say the word 'soon' also when he was back in her room putting those blossoms in the vase. So I believe he was excited that he could be able to finally see her again and be with her. It is a happy ending......a confusing....a puzzled happy ending....after all... :)

It's a happy ending after all...look at all the clues...his seat has finally been patched...the selection of new officials has been finalized...his brother said that their dream has finally came true...he said it's been 3 years already (could be the time restricted for him to try to fix everything)...also, when he went to see her with the good news, there was only 1 windchime, and at the end when he went to see her and eat her food, there were 2 windchimes...that means they are together now...
This is the same reason im here; all i want to know is that the ending is confusing, were they together or she poisoned herself to death. i stll cant fathom that.

It is a happy ending. Sheng lige shall be saved in time by Kong cheng as she went to Sanjiu fang (their pharmacy)), her Shixiong Chen and KongCheng is not at home, so that means soon her Shixiong woke up, they came to Peng palace to meet her, and also saved her life as She wasn't in the swing once King Peng arrives with the new proposal approval from the emperor. But I guess she cannot appear in public or live in palace to claim down the noise from the public after all she grown up in a killer Gang, outside people who doesn't understand the details they will consider king Peng is not a fair king per their law (Killer shall set to the death), that's why she lives in the old place as an ordinary people. At the beginning of this espoid, King Peng told to his brother King Jinlinhuang he needs to take more responsibilitities from King Peng.Also as told, finally King Peng got the death withdraw penalty approval from the emperor, from there we can guess he would like to have a retired life soon the new policy is carried out successful, this is the deal between king Peng and emperor (he understood that's what emperor really wants , emperor was afraid king Peng will take the power away soon the new policy /revolution goes well), but he has to hide Lige from public until he retired from his position. Thats why after he finished the daily work, he went to the old place to try the food that When Lige is preparing after 3 years. Meanwhile Shen Lige wears the different dress and earings from the day she tried to sucidice. BTW, White doesn't mean ghost, it could also means elegant and beauty. For example, When Sun Taifei (ex queen) passed away, was wearing the black clothes. This ending also fits the history book , where stated king Peng finally became ordinary person, and he has two wives. The final winner/big boss is the emperor. PS: the film marker in their offical Weibo also said this is a happy ending.:)
1st of all, the dominator who sentenced Lige to death is an emperor that's higher level than king. Peng and jinlinhuang are both kings. l supposed that LIge successfully committed suicide and king peng had illusions.

She did commit suicide on the last episode. She found out the emporeor wanted her to be beheaded; so she committed suicide. That was her love for him.

Thought ending could have been better. Pretending she took poison was an easy way out ..not her nature throughout whole drama. Her love for Prince was so strong that she would have held on ....rather than commit suicide. When he said, “It is almost time ...”, it seemed there was an agreement, which meant that they could eventually see each other or meet up. The other thing that came to mind ..was that could be her ghost ..and that he meets her same time each year (with the wind chimes). Not a great ending ..so disappointed after watching 52 episodes. ..👀

从母妃死了那里就觉得编剧脑残。第53集刚刚看了三分钟先看一下评论，赶紧决定不看了。就当52已经是大结局了，皆大欢喜。在自己以为的皆大欢喜里面，骊歌怀孕了，给彭城王生了一对双胞胎，执子之手，与子偕老，幸幸福福得过了一辈子。今天自己来做一次编剧。

Finally reached the finish line of this serie, which I have to admit had me watching it repeatedly back to back since 3 weeks ago. First serie ever which made me feel warm watching the two main characters interaction and confession to go through all hardship together and never be parted. BUT THIS FINAL EPISODE IS JUST SO CONFUSING. I tried and tried to crack my brain. My first impression was Peng Chen King managed to convince the Emperor to grant Li Ge the royal pardon, but then when he arrived at their secret garden she was no longer there. Fastforward 3 years later, Peng Chen King paid a visit to his MIL, and MIL was very calm and compose for someone who was supposed to mourn the loss of her daughter. Later his 6th brother came to visit and they finally were abled to implement and fulfill their ambition. Thereafter, Peng Chen King visited the secret garden to hang up the windchime and said, "Soon." He then made his final appearance in court before going to their cosy countryside home....................the next impression after watching this episode repeatedly was both main characters came up with ideas of their own without disclosing to each other what their intention was. But the most logical run of the events in this final episode (assuming that this episode was heavily edited) was to be found under the comments left by @REBECCA ZHOU and what a RELIEF it was to know that it is a HAPPY ENDING!!!

Who the hell said this was a happy ending, clearly we are watching a different show. Happy would've been to make him come in time before she drank poison wine and told her that the King pardoned her, to let her go to her brother's wedding then go home to discover that a food she loved makes her want to vomit which then leads to her finding out she is pregnant. I am saddened by the ending leaving it up to me to guess what happened sucks
This is the same ending of my mind too...ending is very confusing
The end implies: Peng Cheng gets the decree from the emperor pardoning Li Ge. Peng Cheng rushes to the rendezvous only to find Li Ge is dead from drinking poison. Yet, seems that Li Ge only fakes her death. Then, why it takes 3 years later for them to be reunited instead of immediately? Guess that that 3 years' time is the "purgatory" period to cleanse Li Ge from her past before they may get together again. Why this conclusion? 1. From the scenes where Li Ge fails to find any of her family members. Meaning she is prevented to get in touch with them. 2. From Peng Cheng's word: Soon. Meaning the "purgatory" period has been fulfilled and they can reunite soon...
That's my opinion, not sure...

Finished watching this early this morning...was not what I expected...but yet knowing how they loved each other...she would want to keep him from harm or to have to do something that would break his heart...all the bad ones died, so this was kind of sad ending...
