I have watched a Lot of dramas in my time and I can tell everyone that this is s great drama. Besides having a great story line, the main couple is a real couple in life with a daughter, making it just a beautiful drama with a lovely backstory

For the poeple questioning if they should watch because it's long, this is legitimately the only c-drama that touched my heart and stayed with me even years after watching it, it really REALLY marked me. Not only that but I keep on coming back year after year to watch it, and I never rewatch shit, never, so imagine the effect this drama had on me. Please give it a chance, it really deserves it

I’m back to rewatch this masterpiece after 7years. I and my whole family first watched princess Weiyoung in 2017, and because of this particular masterpiece we’ve all been addicted to Chinese historical drama till today.
I've watched this show 4 times already and would like to watch it again...I'm addicted to it specially to Tuoba Jun and Weiyoung!!! I like Tuoba Yu too specially when he's being nice and protective of Weiyoung, he's cute!!!

My first Chinese tv show and I cried my heart out. I loved her the princess character so much. She was fierce and strong! Always quick thinking. A real leader. I just finished watching Ashes of Love and I still can not get over it. beautifully done!

Yeah, the shows plot twist are absolute blasphemy just when you think things are going one way it take a complete 180. I'm addicted and keep starting new period cdrama. I've lost track of the ones I'm watching and dropped the ones with childish and unlikeable characters/ unattractive special effects.
I soooo love this drama-love show....I fell in love with Tuoba Jun and Wei Young, the greatest love story ever!!! All the actors are very good specially Luo Jin and Tang Yan....they're are both very good looking, too!!!

K dramas are awesome but they've become less interesting over time. So I decided to give Cdramas another go. Didn't like them at first especially the contemporary ones, annoying main characters, annoying dubbed voices. But the historical ones are epic 😍💖💖💖 Pure Gold. I've watched Love 020, Prince of Lan Ling, Eternal Love, Perfect Couple, Legend of Yunxi, Princess Agent. Highly recommended ever single one! Hope someone can recommend more.

I really like the ending though it was quite sad because lovers didn't end up together but it was satisfying end as per the title "The Princess Wei young"
She got such great power and opportunity which is very impressive . And all other characters also get what they deserved.
Those evils ones mainly their ending was just making me happy .
All the actors and actresses look amazing and their acting level is just supob .

the first time watching this story was 2016 and now I'm still here 2024 rewatching it every years
I just love watching this drama no matter how many times I watch it I always cry at the end because I really liked Touba Jun and I really wanted to him and weiyoung to have a good ending but the ending was bittersweet.
Also, because of money and power the whole northern liang royal family was destroyed and labelled as rebels by a power hungry general and his family it really is sad and upsetting and the emperor of wei state knew nothing nor when he found he didn't try to investigate because he's afraid he would lose face to the public it is so sad.
