Yea so from the looks of it that stack would not fit in my usual day to day frame that i use from my sponsors, but i will say the new 100amp esc that is out, i wanna try that one and or the 80amp that iflight came out with. Then you can use f80 2200kv motors. That would be awesome.
So question you are using the dji fpv remote with a built quad using the v3 airunit? I had no idea that was a thing. But i heard you say there was some noticeable latancy?

These are awesome if all you like to do is have a clean looking build and get to flying. Soldering is cool but it doesn't make you quad any better than just running one of these. On mine all I had to do was match the pin outs and reinsert the wires into the connectors and was flying with a beeper, GPS, HdZero, and Elrs receiver. Only had to solder the motor and wires to the receiver. I'm tired of soldering every little thing when the whole point is to fly. It looks super clean too and Axis is some quality stuff
During soldering, it is possible to mix things up or accidentally drip solder, resulting in a short circuit. I cut all the wires and rewired them into the connectors on my old controllers, much more convenient that way.
Tmotor also claims they're conformal coated, you can see the shiny finish on the board, indicating it was treated at the factory...but i'd still always conformalncoat everything, fried plenty that were "coated at factory" and wont trust it again
I recently bought one of these. Works pretty good in both INAV and Betaflight for me. I tried both. But one anouying thing on mine is that the buzzer output does not seem to work at all. Not surr if its just a hardware fault and I would be curious if anyone else using this can use the buszzer output on theirs.
Umm, the only soldering you usually do to an ESC is the motor & battery wires... All they've really done with the ESC is take a standard ESC and put it in a massive case. The FC having connectors is interesting - high-end ArduPilot flight controllers have been doing that for a while, so it's nice that people have the option, but personally, I don't mind the FC soldering that much. I *really* dislike the battery wire soldering though, which I would still have to do with this one. If they shipped it with the battery wires & an XT60 already soldered on, then this would be much more tempting.
Just opening the box I got a Boner,,,,,it has to fly the same as all the other F7 stacks. Thanks for the review....😎 I have the Istack from Axis Flying on my Squirt and it is sweet..all in one closed box. You rock Ken...I have your picture above my bed....Love you long time...😍
I think this is great being able to plug in everything it makes it nice when you want to move the stack to a different quad.

Need some decent space to get this combo in a quad.. also need to put some force on the esc to get it over the m3x34 screws
Loosen the bottom screws as you install the ESC and it’s no issue

I love the AMAX motors. Only motors i Fly. just 2306 and 1950kv but they are all awesome. That frame with the standoffs and metal looks sweet

That heat sink is essentially a gasket on there , hard to explain but that’s where the seal is
