15:33 I love how he says "Oh no. Blue Toad got 1" in the most unamused way possible.
Bathaniel: Let's not get a 10
The game: Gets a 1

Also, Toadsworth says more than him clearing his throat. In a non-cutscene moment, if you try talking to him in Sunshine, he makes the sound of something like this: "YAMMA BLAHBLAHBLAH!"
You forgot a blah
Mario Party 1 never even had a chance to get onto the board, let alone any dice rolls. I love it. (Mario Parties 3, 4, DS, 9, Island Tour, Top 100 and Super also ended before they could begin).
I’d love to see a version of this challenge where every time a one is rolled it switches games, but it loops so you’re essentially playing 10 games of Mario party at once, helplessly hopping between them
Dude, I have 2 Mario parties, I might do this
@@bredbug5891 I have a lot (Mario party Mario party 2 Mario party Ds Mario party 9 all 3ds Mario party’s and Mario party 10 and super Mario party)
@@bredbug5891 I was gonna do that but I can't find my Mario Party 9 and the only other two Mario Party games I have are both on the Switch
I remember talking about this on the “Don’t roll a 10” challenge when that happened which was… a while ago. Well, It’s nice to see it now.
Same
It's literally the same thing
Same
@@TKize777 Not quite. The don’t roll a 1 challenge is better throughout all of the games due to those which only have 1-6. Because they all at least have one, and one is the lowest number you can roll. Of course the odds are the same.
Bandy: I’m surprised that we have not got a 1 yet!
Game: Ok *gets a 1*

Imagine if he got that minigame where you roll dice for coins. A 1 would have been inevitable
Contagious from Mario Party 7
Yeah, Cointagious. I couldn't remember it's name lol
There’s also 100% Orange Juice.
The odds of him making it past 2 turns is only 28%.
So yeah, mathematically speaking, this is a very tough challenge.
@Ernie Gaming free rxqq we
Mario party was already based on luck, right?
Actually, with a 10 dice block the odds are 81% to get past two turns, and with a 6 dice block it’s 69 and 4/9 percent.
It’s just the odds of rolling a one in fraction form as compared to rolling anything else to the power of the number of turns, it’s not that hard.
Edit: I didn’t realize it was if anybody rolled a 1, not just him, the real odds with a 10 dice block are 43%, and with a 6 dice block it’s 23%.
🤓
“I actually have no idea if I’ve played this board in my life”
*Waluigi rolls a 1 and loses*
You never will Bathaniel, you never will
Bathaniel waking up and realising the world is all 1s and 0s:
"How quickly can you roll every number 1-10 in Mario Party (any version, probably Superstars?)"
It would take a minimum of 10 dice throws, or two and a half turns, to pull this off, but realistically it could take a little longer. If that's still too easy, how quickly can you, the human player, pull it off solo? Can you succeed within 20 turns? 15?
Every Mario Party, don't roll the number of which mario party it is. For example: mario party 5 don't roll a 5. Idk what you will do for Mario party Superstarts and stuff like that but I bet you will figure it out! ;)
For the non-numbered games, don't roll anything that isn't a number, or a number that isn't for a numbered game, like 0 or 11.
What about like mario party 10, the roll goes up to 6
@@theuglymawg45 There are double dice 🎲 🎲

"oh no blue toad got a 1"
-Bathaniel Nandy 2021
10:25
Bathanial: we might have a shot at this
Birdo: rolls a 1
Sorry, but the cpus being able to end it just makes this not a case of hoping for a win, nearly every time it’s just wondering when one of them will get a 1
If the dice rolls are purely random, you only have a 65.6% chance of getting past the turn order rolls.
*EDIT:* as pointed out in the replies, Mario Party doesn't allow 2 players to roll the same number on the turn order rolls, which makes the odds go down a bit: (9 choose 4) / (10 choose 4) = 60% you get past the turn order rolls.
To elaborate on that calculation, if the game picks 4 different random numbers from 1-10 to give to the players, then the odds you get a 1 are higher because each successive selection of the 4 has 1 less number to work with.
Isn’t it 0.01%?
@@joeytaylor1021 Odds of getting a number other than 1 for a single dice roll: 9/10
Odds of getting 4 consecutive rolls with no ones: (9/10)^4 = ~65.6%
@@gilolaes4725 imagine getting 10 everysingle time
@@gilolaes4725 What about in Mario Party 9,10,Island Tour, Star Rush, Top 100, and Super where the dice are 6 sides instead of 10?
@@alecwareing5177 I'm assuming you still have 4 players roll dice blocks to determine turn order in those games, as I've never played any of the ones you've mentioned:
Odds of getting a number other than 1 for a single dice roll: 5/6
Odds of getting 4 consecutive rolls with no ones: (5/6)^4 = ~48.2%
Which makes sense. With only 6 possible dice values instead of 10, getting a 1 on a given roll is much more likely.
I love the no outro commentary after that last roll. Makes it feel like a rage quit
Well, the fact that you’re not allowing the COMs to roll a 1 either makes it a bit unfair 😂
Have you watched the other ones?
@@toxicq5330 nope, partly why I made my comment
This whole video and each failure of getting a 1 is just amazing, very funny.
I don't think counting MP6 in this video as a win is fair unless you take a star from someone else. The gimmick is everyone starts with 5 Stars, and an additional Star can be added via DK.
Fun fact, the boards in the N64 Mario Party games, are not actually 3D models, it's an image file set-up to LOOK 3D. As result, each returning board in Mario Party Superstars from the N64 Mario Party games had to be remade from scratch for their return. As they could not get away with it merely being an image file like in the N64 versions of those boards. Which is why they're slightly different than their original counterparts
i wanted to say thanks you bathaniel, you have made my days better during covid and i really am thankful for that (:
That's it! New Rule for the next Mario party Challenge: No picking Koopa's tycoon town! and stars that the game give you don't count!
Ok we have a shot at this… ‘1’ then rolled lol 😂 8:06
I love these challenge videos!! And Mario Party Superstars releases tomorrow which I am so excited that I’m getting my copy
In the first 45 seconds, somewhere Nandy said not to get a 10, but he meant a 1. He was referring to a previous MP challenge
I actually love how MP1 went XD!!!

😂 Every Kirby Game: Don’t Touch The Color Pink! 😂
Kirby's Dream Land for the Game Boy would be so easy to beat without touching the colour pink.
Another great video keep up the good work
I remember with Mario Party 10 that I once had a game where nobody threw a certain number. You know how Bowser releases once all numbers on the dice have been thrown? That didn't happen that game. Apparently, after the "Almost There" mark, Bowser just gives up, the number gimmick is abandoned and instead of extra Bowser spaces, Bowser Jr. spaces appear.
This is so much more funny than the already funny dont roll a 10 because getting a 1 means your, well, not going places.
I love this series 😄
Mario party 2 is probably my favorite in the whole series (except for like 7), I loved the fact the characters had different out fits for all stages
Heh, you made a reference to the video that started the "Anti-piracy measures" mock-ups that was popular to make fake anti-piracy measures in videogames
I really like Mario party 6 and I hate how he just skips over it because the characters start with stars
I luv this series
Bathaniel: I’m actually playing these games super early I’m gonna record Mario superstar

8:40 You're Silly goose ! In Snowflake River you can steal players stars with the Chomps, that's why you have already stars !
Rosie in the smol copter @ 18:45 be like: Hope you roll a 1
Why is Donkey Kong the most infamous Mario Party character? He’s always a troll to players when he’s a CPU, he ruins everything and is so stressful when he’s on Hard mode.
Nice challenge!
Awesome Video
Now we need a don’t roll a 2 challenge
"No more Mario" So I guess the games are now just Party
I knew someone was gonna roll a one immediately
3:32 If he’s not allowed, then Mario Party wouldn’t exist
The odds are against Bandy, but it was definitely feasible for someone to get a star before someone rolls a 1. In Mario Party 2 in specific, Bandy's odds were 23.24%. Click read more for the math!
I calculated both phases, the roll-off and the game phase, and put them together at the end.
The initial roll-off is simple enough, just note that you cannot roll the same number twice, so your odds of rolling a 1 increases as it continues. The roll-off's odds are (9/10)×(8/9)×(7/8)×(6/7) = 60%.
As for the actual game, the goal is for someone to get a star. The star spawns 19 spaces away from the start area. WolframAlpha calculates that after rolling 3 d9+1s (simulating not being able to roll 1s on a d10), you have a 46% chance of having a total of 19 or more, semi-safely rolling up to a 50%. Therefore, this is the average scenario, and what I will base my calculations off of. Two turns pass, and then the first person to roll on turn 3 gets the star. That's 9 rolls, or (9/10)^9, or 38.74%. I know the shortcut I took here isn't solid, as other scenarios have a fair chance of happening too, but I don't wanna spend 3 hours on funny dice video.
To get the final probability, 34.8% × 60% = 23.24%.
They removed Boo, Shy Guy, Koopa, and Toad. I would always pick Toad! My sister has the princesses, Yoshi, and the return of Birdo. I'm trying to figure out what character I would pick to play as.
00:02:04 yeah look at this I can’t move *great minigame*
00:09:55 Daisy you need to go for a swim
Pro tip for these since I've watched a few: have Daisy as one of the CPUs everyime
Brand new Mario party dropped
Me in us: no it didnt
New idea: Don't roll even numbers challenge. It only applies to you, not to CPUs
Here are some Ideas
Don’t Roll 5,
Don’t touch green,
Lose first in Minigames / stay in 4th place,
Don’t land on Roulette,
Don’t Share a space with an Com,
Don’t touch Yellow,
Don’t pass an NPC,
Let an Com Win a Star,
Don’t Roll Lucky 7,
you gotta admit, mp10 themes are fire
It's like mario party 10 when u need to be aware unlocking every number 1-6
Like when there's only 1 number left in the lock, the captains must be aware. If the last number was unlocked, the captain will lose half of the ministars since he/she released bowser
Just treat that 1 is the last number haven't being rolled yet, if u roll a 1, you will lose half of the ministars
I can’t wait to play Mario Party Superstars.
0:51 No more Dong!
I always loved mario party 9, i grew up with it
Don’t roll a 3 challenge! 3 is the magical number that sends you back
I was thinking what if you encounter the minigame in 7 where you hit dice rolls between 0-3 for coins and how statistically improbable that has to be
0:42 That's what I call reverse jinxing.
“I don’t pirate games”
> clearly sees emulation issues with Mario Party 2 haha
11:13 WARNING! It’s the bones that wins nandy
It would've been funny, for the bad Wii and 3DS Mario Parties, whenever someone rolled a 1, the victory theme would play instead of the failure theme.
