This is by far the best fucking guide of marvel. All the others just read out what the game gives you lmao. ALSO, feel his damage is insane, with the reload flip too and having two charges means his 1-1 potential is cracked

@@brookss_ From the tier lists ive seen, Starlord is flying (wahey) under the radar big time. If the aim is locked in, I really don't see him losing a 1-1 if timing dives correctly. Plus his guns have quite a crazy amount of range, so applying pressure on an off-angle is so powerful because they have to do something about it, even if they just run away or move. Plus his ult is insanity. Big fan of him tbh but he isn't easy.

Coming from OW and looking at it from a tracer pov, one thing to add abt shooting tanks aside from ult charge is that u can gain access to the back line by applying pressure to tanks so you can move up in scenarios where you’re having trouble reaching them. (playing front to back) B lining straight to the back line can be hard if they’re good. I’m still new to rivals so obvi it’s not one to one but I thought it’d be worth mentioning
When I first downloaded the game after seeing all the tik toks of moon knight iron fist and winter soldier, I still liked Starlord more and I think he is extremely underrated and it takes a lot of skill to move around the map, and this guy just plays him beautifully, thanks for the tips!

Just got the game and tried starlord with prior OW experience and went 25-4 and got mvp and this is a great guide I didn’t even notice the roll reloaded 😅
Just a quick note to add: when using your ult be aware of enemy cooldowns that would shut down your ult. Mantis ult, Luna snow ult and cloak and dagger bubble severely hinder your ult dmg. Try and bait them out. Also best to ult if you have a dive tank to mitigate attention from the enemy team and make yourself just a bit less vulnerable.

it feels like i get to play tracer in 3 person view. its almost the same playstyle, backline, being a rat and not dying. its just that u can spam rooftops here to do disengage
Top 5 is a big amount for me because honestly i’ve only really tried/enjoyed Starlord and Hela the most and the side heroes i’ve tried are Hawkeye, Psylocke, and Black Widow. I know there are a lot of other valuable heroes but I just haven’t learned them or tried them just yet!

Ive gotten to diamond as star lord and now the only problem i run into is when enemy team has jeff i cant kill as much in backline cus even if i hit every single bullet he just insta heals enemies
idk how it is in high elo, but I've had Banners that just walked at me alone and they ate three mag dumps to the head, he seems really good against the lower mobility melee heroes from my pov (I'd imagine good Banners aren't fighting enemy flankers but it seems like good info if you want to peel)
are you sure? I think I’ve tried that against him (i don’t find him very often) and he can still look up and close that distance the same way with one auto hit punch

Yo question with the dodge could you time it and live a ult that 1 shots? Like for example iron mans ult or scarlet witch’s ult. Would you survive if you times it?
I've yet to be able to test it but someone suggested that just before I made the guide and because there is at least one frame of invulnerability, surely it is possible but really hard. If you manage to test it before me do let me know :)
I use it but I use it situationally. I don’t believe it’s faster I think it’s good for micro movements and more specific short bursts of movement to be more evasive if you DO need to shoot back in between. Often you just use rocket boots to zoom away and come back later or smth and I’d say it’s best to just use it without tapping it if you’re doing that :) I haven’t noticed it being too significantly faster or slower than leaving it running
@@brookss_ It was definitely informational as a guide and I especially loved the part where you explained how star lord gets countered/ dealing with it while showing a clip. Plus the emphasis on how squishy he is and how we shouldn't be getting into dogfights with all the aggro.

there’s something you’re missing then, you gotta see if you’re dying at the worst times possible even if they’re low or if your team isn’t playing objective as much as K/D like nef is saying. unless it’s just a few games out of the tons of wins, then it happens haha

I don't know why but the aiming in this game, especially Starlord, feels off. Probably because it's in third person and the bullets actually go out from the gun instead of from the center of the screen.
Yes in the third person view, it comes from the model instead of directly into the crosshair every single scenario like an FPS would. So you have to account for that but it's not always always I wouldn't say that it's too impactful in a negative manner
when they get caught out of position or dove/overwhelmed they typically crumble easily. nothing in hela’s kit for that except maybe her ult which isn’t sustainable :)
your front arm looks like a stick mantis in the handcam, maybe you should invest some time in the gym instead of grinding the hell out of a brand new game

When playing starlord I noticed a kind of “dash chain” by starting boosters jumping and stopping repeatedly and it seemed to be faster is that true?
