No, friend, you missed the target. Josh Heupel's not running up the score for the CFP committee. He's not running up the score at all. He's putting the 2nd, 3rd, 4th string in these games really early on. BUT HE WILL CONTINUE TO RUN THE OFFENSE (and defense). And that's why we just keep scoring. Nothing more or less than that.
Wrong. It just happened because the other teams were not good enough to stop them. They scored with their second and third string players after pulling their starters at halftime or earlier. He ran the offense with 3 different QBs. Are you going to tell backups to backups to fall down at the 5?
Agree to disagree. Nico and Dylan were still in up 44-0 halfway through the second before Dylan's 4th TD. Kent State was in no way coming back in this game and they had no reason still being in at that point in my opinion unless you wanted for sure points. I'm not trying to hate on Tennessee here this is just how I perceived it. For the backups of course keep playing and improve with in game reps, however I just think they would have been in sooner like after Dylan's TD at the end of the 1st or after Desean's TD in the 2nd. Backups still would have cooked Kent but I do not think the score would have been 71 I'd say more in the high 50's.
heupel-thetical
This is fantastic
65 at half. 6 total in the second half. 4’s and 5’s in the entire second.
Your theory would hold water except for the fact he is playing third fourth and fifth string in the second half.

For the rest of this season, the other team is going to have to think about the on side kick possibility at any time
Yes. And why not practice an onside rep with no risk.
You’re so wrong 1s were off the field with 10 minutes left in the first half
... and we lost our first SEC game....
