It's injection molded, included with every Nomad. We don't offer it for purchase separately at the moment, that may change in the future but I can't make any promises.
It looks like your LED base has a wider slot that can hold a 1/25 inch or larger piece of acrylic. All I can find on Amazon are bases that hold 1/8 acrylic. Any suggestions where I can find the larger width bases?
Hey mate. Looking to make one of these for a concept project. Looking for something on the cheaper entry end model at around $500. You have any recommendations?
I’ve been doing this lately. I didn’t know that I could engrave if I had the “pro” program. The pattern is weird etching glass without the engrave tooth path. Thx for the video. How much is the program upgrade?
We don't have an exact reading on the outer limits of light travel through acrylic. You'd have to do some testing. We've single edge lit signs that are 12in. with success.
I got mine on Ebay... Their spring is a little more forgiving. The 2 bits I got from Carbide Create are hella strong and by the time you back down the spring tension with the screw I fear the screw will back out on it's own.
I love how you guys continue to innovate, very nice kit and a great price.
Engraved the acrylic for the first time today and this video was extremely helpful. The project looks great and I will be buying another kit soon
Any way we can see a material video for acrylic, extruded especially, using the ZrN 0 flute bits for speeds and feeds? Love your work.
This was so helpful!
If you reference your machine to the bottom of your table How do you Reference your machining from the top of your stock
Hey forgot to ask how many flutes does that bit has? and has there been any specific updates on specs for cut?
Single Flute or O-Flute cutters are best for acrylic. Treat it like a metal.
is the spindle fan a 3d print or machined? Can it be purchased?

Look on Etsy. There are a number of sellers who sell 3D printed versions that you can add to your own bits.
@@carbide3d I've had my Nomad for a year or so, did'nt come with one at that time>

Anyone got a good supplier for drag engravers? Been waiting weeks for carbide3d to restock…
