@@johnysilveira1990 no one said Nintendo owns guitar hero. They can still work with another company to make that happen. That's OBVIOUSLY what the op meant. Nintendo would give a big advance etc and work closely with the third party. Nintendo would have to be interested for this to happen.

I remember trying the android build of ch when it came out and being very bummed the Raphnet and wireless Xbox dongle (the only two gh controllers I have) worked about as well as soggy bread. Cool to see ch played on consoles tho!

I have a vivid memory of playing a GH game on my ipod touch in a field at my father’s softball game like a decade ago and i really cant describe why it makes me feel so happy to think about. Miss those mobile games man :(

You can also put the android version on the quest 2, and plug a guitar in with an adapter

I meant to get Android on my OUYA and try out Clone Hero but never got around to fixing the soft brick that I accidentally caused over a year ago. I love messing with hardware that’s no supposed to play certain games!

this is actually pretty cool.
I installed this on a note 10. I had the same trouble but with the start button. I installed it on a different phone and the start button worked perfectly. Seems to be device specific but if you hook up a key board to your phone and press space you can remap the missing buttons to something you don't use like a d pad button.
I don't know why, but I have a feeling that it is possible to run Clone Hero on the Xbox Series S/X using Dev Mode (the mode they were using to use RetroArch for emulation)

probably on NS you can use the gamepad mode and play like the old playstation joypad if you not have a plastic guitar, that would be awesome too

I play clone hero on mobile and it's just perfect! It keeps in 60 FPS but i don't need more FPS than that, is enough to me

Theres actually a "pc emulator" for android called Exagerar that is capable of running GTA IV and Skyrim at "pretty good" framerates, and i think it would run clone hero pretty smoothly

@acai28 I jailbroke my ps4 with the same instructions and distro as you, however, i cant get the ardwiino guitar to show up and get recognized by the game. Im using the board from retrocult mods kit which is a pi pico i believe. How did you get yours to show up?

your android phone can also docked to your 3rd party nintendo switch dock too. try that out.
I have tried Clone Hero on my phone and on my Nvidia Shield TV Pro before. Does not support PS3 guitar controllers that well, I wish I had a wired Xbox 360 guitar controller again as that is the best thing you could use on Clone Hero Android.

hmm seems like using your phone outputing to a monitor using samsung dex and a usb hub would be a decent cheap way to play CH on almost any display
I have a PC and a Laptop, so I can play Clone Hero at full FPS and all of that stuff...
I just wish that there were official ports of Clone Hero on Xbox and PlayStation...
I know that it's impossible because Microsoft and Sony wouldn't be okay with that (especially with Microsoft owning Guitar Hero), but it would just be so nice. One can dream.

Lol I used to play this in the past before I had a laptop, it was fun but at least it worked. And at 2:55, idk how did Clone run just fine on Android 12(?) just fine, while mine with Android 11 custom rom straight up doesn't work and crash :(

If you tried lowering the resolution on ps4 and changing all the video settings and setting them lower you think you could pull a higher frame rate?
I played on 800x600 and was still only pulling 250-280 max. On base PS4 it might be better but there's definitely some bottlenecking going on on PS4 Pro

So I tried it I got the phone case off, but sadly I forgot both of my guitars were wireless
you can still try to plug your wireless adapter into your phone. may or may not work after re-syncing. note that if they're xbox guitars, the controller light will keep blinking as if it's not synced (idk why), but input still works!

Yay, i'm not alone playing ch on android.
It does work on mobile, however i have found at least my phone refuses to add new songs. Either that or im dumb and cant fivurye out how. I went into settings and tried to open the new songs folders but it wouldnt even open. My phone js also a pixel 4a, so not exactly new, and can barely run the game. In fact it slows down almost immediately and I'm playing in slow motion. Thats also if the game doesn't just shut down before I get to playing a song. That being said, will be switching to a computer.

This is awesome but for some reason on the android, the app only registers the start button and the A button. Even tested the guitar incase it was broken, but all the buttons work, the clone hero app just won't work for me :(
For what it's worth, you can also get it to run on a Raspberry Pi, though it runs like absolute crap
