Hi Sadie, Thankyou for teaching us about the different breeds of sheep. The Silk sounds very intriguing, so really looking forward to this. Wild Spinning sounds good. Maybe make it into a "wild party". Happy Spinning Take care & stay safe. Love & hugs, dear Spin Sister/friend. Jen xxxx
Your very welcome jen I am really enjoying finding out about the different breeds of sheep out there and just how long they have been around where they originated from. Glad your looking forward to the silks video and I may just call it a wild party yet hahaha. Love and hugs right back at ya spin sister xx x
That's why I like to research these things as I would never of known about james Robson who found the eight breed to cross them with to get the right wool for what they wanted xx it's rather amazing really x
You're right with pronunciation, - it's Che vee ot. Not chee. I checked with the dictionary, 😂 can't wait for wild spinning. Hopefully Lockdown will be over by the time it's nice enough to do it, and i can pop along!! Thanks for the work you put into these, Sadie. Xx
Ah that's good then I'm not as literate as I thought lmao and same here I'm really looking forward to sitting in a field with lance and spinning hahaha x and your very welcome and thank you for watching wendy xx
Love hearing about the breads. I love Cheviot, it’s so soft, I buy the roving though. No room for a fleece. Can’t wait to here about the silk and other breeds of sheep. I pronounce this one the same as you.
I missed Gwen! Thanks for another great video. I have a question, it's probably obvious, but I thought I'd ask anyway. Why do sheep have spray paint dots on their backs in different colours? I definitely want to see you spinning on a moor!
Answer to your question is each ram has a different chalk paint attached to them in tupping season so the farmer knows which ram has been with which ewe which is why sometimes you get ewes with 2 or 3 different colours on them and then they can check those ewes to make sure they are with lamb xx I missed hearing gwen too to be fare and I truly am looking forward to the spinning in the wild it will be so much fun. Thank you so much for watching tracy xxx

I love hearing the history of different sheep and wool, oftentimes we learn the history of the people and the regions as well.
