Since you're asking for it, it was revealed in the first game that the Neighbor used to have a family. The mother died in a car accident sending him into a depression. Sometime later during a game his son pushed his daughter to her death (Probably not meaning to). This seemed to push him off the edge as he locked his son down in the basement and entered some kind of pact with the Crow Man. Then some kid found out he was doing something so he kidnapped him and locked him in his house too. this seems to lead the kid's friends to mount a search and rescue. Later as an adult that same kid returns to the old neighborhood suffering from night terrors of his time trapped in the house, while also possibly battling a supernatural entity. I'm still not sure what Hello Neighbor 2 adds to the story. This is at least my take away of the lore of Hello Neighbor.

And also the neighbor only kidnapped Nicky was because he didn’t want aaron to be alone in the basement so he did the wrong thing and kidnapped his friend Nicky and forced him to be in the basement with his friend Aaron. And he kidnapped the other kids for the same reason but at first the neighbor didn’t want to kidnapped the other kids but then when they found out the truth then he locked them in the basement because he doesn’t like kidnapping people except Nicky because that was Aaron’s closest friend.

The next day, only Mr. Peterson (the Neighbor) came home. Using hints from several games, the assumption was made that she died in a car crash. It really tore up the family, and it seemed to bring down Aaron and Mr. Peterson the most. Mya tried cheering them up, but to no avail. While Mr. Peterson was just in a state of depression, Aaron was more violent, tearing up his room and shoving his sister when she tried to get near. Mr. Peterson told him off several times, but it didn’t change his behavior. Then one day, Aaron said they could play a game. It led them up to the top of the house, with a long plank of wood sticking out. Aaron got angry again, and might have been blaming Mya (not sure, they don’t talk). Aaron pushed her off him again, but she fell to her death. He didn’t mean to, based on his expression, but the deed was done. Mr. Peterson, possibly afraid of him losing Aaron as well as Mia, kept it a secret. After a private funeral for Mya, Aaron was locked in the basement, and I assume the reason was to make sure Aaron didn’t tell anyone what he did. But he saw himself as a monster, so he was pretty accepting of his situation. The other kids, who couldn’t help but notice that their friends disappeared, decided to help search for them. There’s a cartoon that really explains it well, but it ends with Nicky getting framed for tearing down the missing posters of Aaron and Mya. That leads to the start of the first full release Hello Neighbor game, in which he alone breaks into Mr. Peterson’s house in the First Act and gets captured, and his escape in the Second Act. The Third Act is when he’s an adult and he’s just getting over his trauma. But back to the story. Search and Rescue is between the first two acts, and The group of friends go in to save their friends. Well, they get captured, and The Dirty Kid saves them all. In case you haven't figured it out, the last kid you play as is Aaron himself. He frees the main cast of the game, and eventually Nicky. The credits images show his escape, and they reveal their knowledge to the cops, and Mr. Peterson goes into hiding… but at the very end the Missing Poster for Aaron still flies past the screen. I think this implies that he ran away too, and never rejoined his friends. And I believe Mya’s fate was never revealed, because in Hello Neighbor 2, there are still missing posters for both Mya and Aaron. I don’t know how that game ends, but this is the story so far. The biggest mystery is The Guest (the crow man). Swapping places with Aaron, his appearance in general… I’m not sure how he factors into the equation. So far all I've learned is the neighbor is the devil, hangs sex toys out on his clothes line sometimes, dresses like a creepy clown, and has a twin that kidnaps kids from a carnival to store them in his house. He's portrayed as the Devil, Baba Yaga, etc. Needless to say, after watching 3 MatPat videos on the subject, I still have no idea what the hell is going on. I know more about the hidden possible lore than the actual story and can't tell fact from fiction. Actually....that's how I felt watching you play this game too, so I guess it all makes perfect sense! (Nothing makes sense. I'm more lost now than I was 20 mins ago. Someone help me please)
That story of hello neighbor isn’t canon anymore that’s the alpha story. The neighbor is not the devil and he doesn’t hang sex toys and he’s not the main antagonist of the franchise anymore the guest aka the raven man is.

Nicky (who you play as in HN1) looks for his friend Arron after hearing a scream and gets locked inside the basement now are team of kids go on a rescue mission they fail Arron frees Nicky then supposably gets pulled away so Nicky escapes years later Nicky revisits his childhood home being haunted by his memorys he dreams of the neighbors labrynth he gets into the basement and faces his fears waking up he starts a new life After moving to a town named waron croobs (ravon brooks) the neighbor joins a cult with the whole town based on the guest (crow man) Quentin a news journalist investigates the town but upon savving Arron a mysterious man knocks out Quentin and drags him away. That's all I know rn

Wolf, when you first described action of this game, it comes eerily close to the introduction scenario to the board game version of “Escape Room”. In that game, you are given a device that acts a timer and you have to stick keys in it, and are given 5 scenarios that you can only play through once and have to download more. In the introduction game, you have 15 minutes to solve it and escape the room. You are given a mirror card, keys, a card with a code key, a red filter for the clue cards, and two clue cards given out once the timer hits a certain time. The scenario is a lot like this game where you notice that the neighbor’s wife and kid are missing. There is strange activity going on in the basement. The neighbor only leaves his house for 15 minutes at a time. He is out of the house. You and your friends sneak into the basement and suddenly the door slams shut. You have 15 minutes to get out before he gets out and catches you. The rest of the scenarios in the game are a hour long. But I hope you can see the similarities: codes, keys, missing kid and wife, basement, and don’t get caught be the neighbor.

The reason the Neighbors scared of the guest is because of the fact their extremly scary. the guest take what you don't deserve (In their eyes). So what i think is that the guest saw the Neighbors family and thought that he didn't deserve it so he took it away and sadistic yet also deadly ways to make sure the Neighbor knew he was always watching

The crow was from another hello neighbor game and the storm it reminds me from hello neighbor with that shadow monster and the car accident in hello neighbor it is all making so much sense and the kids you play as is from secret neighbor and the title seen is from secret neighbor kinda!

Crow man is called " the guest" he is the main horror antagonist of one of the spinoffs of hello neighbor 1. The guest is canonically more powerful. The neighbor, otherwise known as Mr Peterson, is scared because he should be.
The crow guy isn’t a good guy he is the main antagonist of the franchise and his name is the guest and he is a demon with powers and he caused the neighbors wife and daughter to die. The only reason he’s being nice to the neighbors son is because he made a deal with Aaron the neighbors son that he would help Aaron save his friends if he agreed to give the guest more power by letting the guest go in his body and take energy out of his body but still letting Aaron live and Aaron refused so the guest forced him to do the deal and at the end what the guest does with that power is he keeps the neighbor haunted bump him because in one of the scenes it shows a shadow of the guest towering over the neighbor and that’s why the neighbor is scared of the guest and the plushies of Aaron and the guest are for them to communicate with each other. I made a comment about it in a reply under @SuperSwordman1 so all of it is explained there and let’s just say it’s a lot. Also the raven aren’t good there bad and there under rule of the guest and they also have powers but they don’t have as much power as the guest.

Nicky (who you play as in HN1) looks for his friend Arron after hearing a scream and gets locked inside the basement now are team of kids go on a rescue mission they fail Arron frees Nicky then supposably gets pulled away so Nicky escapes years later Nicky revisits his childhood home being haunted by his memorys he dreams of the neighbors labrynth he gets into the basement and faces his fears waking up he starts a new life After moving to a town named waron croobs (ravon brooks) the neighbor joins a cult with the whole town based on the guest (crow man) Quentin a news journalist investigates the town but upon savving Arron a mysterious man knocks out Quentin and drags him away. That's all I know rn

The story in original game is the neighbors son pushed the neighbors daughter off of the roof so neighbor locked his son in the basement I believe. I have no idea about the mom.
Wolf, when you first described action of this game, it comes eerily close to the introduction scenario to the board game version of “Escape Room”. In that game, you are given a device that acts a timer and you have to stick keys in it, and are given 5 scenarios that you can only play through once and have to download more. In the introduction game, you have 15 minutes to solve it and escape the room. You are given a mirror card, keys, a card with a code key, a red filter for the clue cards, and two clue cards given out once the timer hits a certain time. The scenario is a lot like this game where you notice that the neighbor’s wife and kid are missing. There is strange activity going on in the basement. The neighbor only leaves his house for 15 minutes at a time. He is out of the house. You and your friends sneak into the basement and suddenly the door slams shut. You have 15 minutes to get out before he gets out and catches you. The rest of the scenarios in the game are a hour long. But I hope you can see the similarities: codes, keys, missing kid and wife, basement, and don’t get caught be the neighbor.

The reason the Neighbors scared of the guest is because of the fact their extremly scary. the guest take what you don't deserve (In their eyes). So what i think is that the guest saw the Neighbors family and thought that he didn't deserve it so he took it away and sadistic yet also deadly ways to make sure the Neighbor knew he was always watching

The crow was from another hello neighbor game and the storm it reminds me from hello neighbor with that shadow monster and the car accident in hello neighbor it is all making so much sense and the kids you play as is from secret neighbor and the title seen is from secret neighbor kinda!
You can hear how annoyed when he cant get the other option when becoming the crow.

So...let me get this straight there, SuperSwordman1...Your saying that, the son's mother died in the car accident where he was not understanding of the reason was...and then sometime later during the game where his son plays with his father and daughter a game called "hide and seek" and then the son pushed his daughter in the edge of the plank and died so he was frustrated and his father puts his son into the basement locked and trapped where he met the crow man in the game where his friends going to be free and so as himself and the cops are chasing after the father aka the Neighbor into the woods where the son finally ends the supernatural entity once and for all...and then the son was happy that he was free from the nightmare while they were celebrating, Is that correct?

The kid you see in the basement at the end is Nicky Roth the protagonist of hello neighbor 1 this entire takes place in between act 1 and 2 in the first game the dirty kid you play as is the neighbors son who was locked in the basement to my assumption to protect him after Mr Peter sons wife died and in hello neighbor hide and seek the neighbors son pushes his sister off the roof killing her which what happens next Aron ( the neighbors son) is locked in the basement my Peterson which is where hello neighbor 1’s first act begins the end of act 1 your locked in the basement. Then this games storyline starts as the rescue squad is looking for Nicky Roth the end of this game is where hello neighbor 1’s second act begins

Crow man is called " the guest" he is the main horror antagonist of one of the spinoffs of hello neighbor 1. The guest is canonically more powerful. The neighbor, otherwise known as Mr Peterson, is scared because he should be.

The crow guy isn’t a good guy he is the main antagonist of the franchise and his name is the guest and he is a demon with powers and he caused the neighbors wife and daughter to die. The only reason he’s being nice to the neighbors son is because he made a deal with Aaron the neighbors son that he would help Aaron save his friends if he agreed to give the guest more power by letting the guest go in his body and take energy out of his body but still letting Aaron live and Aaron refused so the guest forced him to do the deal and at the end what the guest does with that power is he keeps the neighbor haunted bump him because in one of the scenes it shows a shadow of the guest towering over the neighbor and that’s why the neighbor is scared of the guest and the plushies of Aaron and the guest are for them to communicate with each other. I made a comment about it in a reply under @SuperSwordman1 so all of it is explained there and let’s just say it’s a lot. Also the raven aren’t good there bad and there under rule of the guest and they also have powers but they don’t have as much power as the guest.
