I Have Dream/A New Kind of American Saint was at the heart of my hardcore experience. I will never ever ever forget this band. Say what you will but for the kids of Tallahassee, this was and will always be something special.
I remember using my first guitar to learn how to play this whole EP in high school. That key change at 2:32 still feels just as good as it did 10 years ago.
wow this is about me and my best friend :( we did/tried everything together...got each others back forever.. now i moved to another city :( i still love him and try to see him as much as i can
I love this whole album/e.p. Bands like this, I Hate Myself, Twelve Hour Turn and Fallen Angel kick so much ass. I lived in Gainesville, FL (where this scene was born and flourished) when bands like these were at their pinnacle. The whole Gainesville scene sounded like this and I can't stand it thuogh when they're referred to as emo/screamo. The label Emo is so stupid (along with labels like Alternative) because MOST ALL music is emotional at some level or another. But that's besides the point. Anyways, thanks for sharing this on here because I have Dreams and the others I mentioned before deserve to be preserved for future generations. It proves that you don't have to sound clean, overproduced, and traditional to make music that appeals and is relatable to many people. Long live indie music!
Here's a link to their previous band, New Ethic, including the member that died and inspired them to make I Have Dreams. www.last.fm/music/New%20Ethic Please enjoy and share with all your friends. =) Take care.
awesome band, just...whats happening in like..half the pics? especially the two or so when the kid is lying on the floor, one with another guy hugging him?
