The last story made me happy because OP not only got the divorce he deserved but made a friend that he knows is a good guy since he was willing to tell him the truth about his wife. He could have just walked away and had nothing to do with her again but he went out of his way to make things right by OP. I'm glad there are still good guys out there.

  • @owl7072

Story 4: It's the way she likely knew about the rules in regards to divorce considering she tried to bleed him dry in order to be willing to divorce him and yet fortunately for Op but unfortunately for her, she wasn't bright enough to 1. Wait until the divorce was finalized before seeing her side piece and 2. Was stupid enough to see him in _public_ where Op could be at and catch her at _any point._
Edit: "To say my ex wife was livid is an understatement" Why? She's the one stupid enough to cheat _and_ get caught doing so. Not your fault she has little to no morals and poor planning skills.

    • @jordanhart9708

When someone says “to say (insert whatever here) is an understatement”, they mean that it doesn’t compare to what really happened. So saying that “saying she was livid would be an understatement” means that she was so incredibly angry that livid doesn’t begin to express how angry she really was. Hope this helps!

In my opinion, no one who is brought into a cheating situationlike the last story should be blamed. With the exception of say a friend, family, or just has general knowledge of the actual situation, like a neighbor... I would never blame the other guy since he, himself was lied to... And I'd, assuming he didn't pursue the relationship anymore, would probably become friends with him, too... It's the ones who know the real situation and don't care that are to share in the blame... Usually they are cheating on someone as well...

Story 3: from experience, this is exactly how hotels work behind the scenes. If you’re causing problems as a guest, EVERYONE knows your name and NO ONE is on your side. It works in the reverse too, if you’re an absolute angel, everyone will be expecting you with niceties. This is especially true for the corporate hotels like OP’s, because guest appreciation standards are really high.

My son was injured in an industrial accident and I stayed in the same hotel for the 3 months that he was hospitalized. I always tipped the housekeeping staff weekly and generously, so they were very kind to me, especially with the extra fudge, hot chocolate, coffee and hugs. The hotel would also allow me to use their small conference room for meetings with the Workman's Compensation Board (Who were kind enough to pay for the hotel), my son's doctors, therapists and me. Anything I needed they were quick to provide and it made what was a very trying time much more bearable.

I'm oddly loving my EMDR sessions for my PTSD. It does suck a bit as I have to go in depth about my trauma and it has made my mental health more unstable but I'm seeing significant results even after a few sessions. My therapist is wonderful and I've told her things I never thought I'd share with anyone else which is so freeing. I have a long way to go still but I highly recommend it. I just wanted to share this in case there's anyone out there like how I was before as it's a terrifying concept to face your trauma especially since I used to cope with it by repressing those thoughts, feelings, and emotions but it's 100% worth it. Before starting, I was in a state where I could manage the symptoms of PTSD where I just avoided triggers and the symptoms weren't that intrusive in my daily life but it's very nice not having to deal with them at all and I'd say that even though my mental health is a bit more unstable while going through therapy, it's not as horrendous as dealing with my PTSD used to be.

For story 1, while yes 30k times ten is 300,000, that doesn't account for interest from how long ago he took the money.
Not to mention the failed payment was taken out of the base value, drastically reducing any interest he had been earning or will earn for the rest of his life.

The thumbnail is totally deceptive . The O.P. never stole $ 300,000 !
He merely recovered the $ 300,000 pension that his mother was LEGALLY entitled to . Money that she was entitled to from an official court order ! .
So how was the money stolen , when a judge signed the court order ?

I've been working at a hotel for about 7 months now, I can heavily relate to the 3rd story. We had a front desk girl travel to another city using the same employee discount. She lost a pair of 5 dollar sunglasses and threw a massive racist hissy fit at the houscleaning staff, the front desk attendants and the manager. It was weird to hear about, since she had always been nice, if a little lazy.

Story 1: Eh nothing in the story makes him sound any worse than any petty and neglectful father to me. My father emptied all the joint bank accounts and then filed for divorce and this was years after my mother quit her job to be a stay at home mother. We moved into a mold infested house because it had a small backyard with him literally claiming that he would not do anything around the house unless he got the house he wanted siting how he made the money, the job my mother had to quit because he was a dead beat paid more than his job ever did and she paid for his college which he failed the first time because he's as dumb as he is petty. On the divorce settlement he hired his crooked (been sited for various violations a couple times yet still has his license to practice law) lawyer and tried to walk away with out paying my mother anything. Unfortunately for her the judge was a phone in the job type so he walked away with the vast majority of it and pays her far less than what is even livable and she wasn't able to get back any of the joint account funds that he emptied prior because his name was on the account. As for being a father just some of his hit list includes abandoning me in the forest (he literally ran out of through the forest with my brother) when I was 8 or so and drove home, when at home when my mother asked where I was he claimed I just hadn't come in the house yet, I was out there for 2 hours. At a football game he wanted an autograph of a player and he shouted to the player that his son had cancer and was dying to try to get the player's attention, I did not have cancer and aside from slowly dying from the passage of time nothing was speeding up my inevitable demise. Finally the week my grandmother died and my mother was handling the estate, he didn't want to look after me so he called the police and had me detained for the entire time my mother was out of town, since no technical charges were filed I was just held until the hearing which was a couple of extra days after my mother returned and said he made it up just so he didn't have to be in the house and yet the legal system seemed to have no problem with what he did and nothing happened to him for it whilst I was stuck in Juvy I got a corneal abrasion that ended up getting infected and was on antibiotics for a month all because he was a deadbeat.
Story 2: That's actually illegal and despite them robbing you, you CAN be charged for assault for doing that so whilst you think you're safe because they won't report you it just takes one to end up in jail.

  • @bluedragonfox
