It’s such a simple mechanic though, physical science still applies in video games at least somewhat. Just think about it; all you needed to do was hook at maximum distance using the grapple, jump to apply upward force and reduce friction between you and the ground, and then pull back on the joystick to apply tension between you and the grapple (on the tether) making it pull you forward at a high-speed. You probably could’ve done it by yourself if you put more than two seconds of thought into it.

As soon as you hold a reverse 180° in a match to annihilate an opponent. Or hit a grapple to disappear and heal up then you’ll understand why Pathfinder is a Top 5 legend.
If you have jump bound to mousewheel down you can just "jump" when the grapple sound starts. This is easier for a lot of people. Also for the around the corner grapples: the hook wil loosen, if you stop looking at the hook. Which means, if you pass the hooked grapple midair you will stop using the grapple. Which is obvious. BUT if you keep your hooked grapple centred it will stay hooked on the surface you just hooked it to. This helps for super high and angled grapplejumps. Stay focused while grappling, since it gives you super speed and momentum if you time it right. And it makes you super cool😁😎
I main path he's such a great character in my opinion you can get out of situations like you would never belive its insane but once you get his movment down and how to hit slides right you can do sum crazy things lol
As a titanfall 2 player grappling has always been easy so when apex came out man I was at the top of my game cause no one could do the grapples I did, now people are even better than me and I always get out grappled
Pls do Make a vid of the diff type of grapple( slingshot/ sideways sling etc etc) and how to combo it with tapstrafe/redirect like how itztimmy do it when he is popping off.
Idk if it’s just me but if you can’t do it 100% of the time it may be that your focusing on it too hard I’ve noticed that even now I don’t 100% get it when I focas on it but in game I’ve never messed up the timing

There’s a thing called a super grapple where you look just above a ledge, the grap indicator won’t turn blue but as you hit the grapple it comes back and hooks the ledge which flings you with a lot more momentum, combine that with a backwards jump and you are literally flying.
@@RauKnowsAPEX it just feels more smooth. Being able to put tension on the grapple with the left stick in just the right direction during each part of the swing, and being able to control the camera angle a bit smoother too. I also have jump on my right stick for controller, so that might be part of it. 😝
I like pathfinder because of his unique movement techniques, but I feel like he it kind of useless, like the fact that other legends have better abilities, like revenant who can give teammates a second life

Centering your camera on the grapple will make you lose momentum
Also because it goes of Titanfall grapple physics, you can look down when grappling around a corner or under something. It gives extra speed

Rather than the visual cue, use the audio cue the moment the grap hits the ground, it's for better situational Awareness
Titanfall 2 grappling hook is the same so i learned that with Titanfall 2

Adding strafe and opposite look techniques is what I do. Never heard of pulling back. Try titanfall 2s grapple.
There are so much better ways to do things like this with a grapple but this is super helpful for newer players to pathfinder
