Just thinking of our local weekly market, it has a meat stall, a sweets stall, fabrics, clothes, soaps & shampoos, bags, and there are usually 1 or 2 food trucks.
Your updates are always fantastic, I'm de-stressing just watching you play with Lego! Wish I had more time for it myself.

was just about to comment about how those houses in the preview looked very much like old swedish houses and did not expect you to actually know the origin of the white and red houses, very high attention to detail which is never a bad thing in my book. cool build!

This could be "critical" of me since you have already done such an amazing job, but I think you could use a few more random passers by just walking through areas. Every person in a given area does not have to be doing something in that area, but rather could be just walking through to get to their destination. Love the videos, great work

I have some ideas for your city
-You could add a Bigfoot minifig in the Forrest as an Easter egg
    -you could make a treehouse
-you could build a Lego shop
-you could build a detective office
-you could make a museum with lots of little hidden details and fun eater eggs inside

I really like how you're adding sort of a internal story for the more observant people who might view your world. It's almost like where's Waldo but they don't tell you what to be looking for. It's kind of like being a detective and I think this is a really great idea

I'm loving the progress and I'm glad I caught up (and found your english channel, I'm still very early in my german lessons), the city looks absolutely fantastic and I can't wait to see what else you make. Genuinely, you are one of, if not the most, creative builders I've seen. You're city (as well as the old west and moon areas) look so amazingly detailed, it looks so realistic. And the fact that you never leave a wall blank or settle for an area that is just flat colour, you add either some splash of colour, cover if in decorations and foliage, or you add so much detail with various bricks that the realism just starts to pop out at you, it's all just beautiful. Absolutely fantastic, my friend.
I love the stories you have going on in your city as well, that money laundering story has been in the city for quite a while, like the city was founded by these guys. I think you should add some street performers like musicians or clowns, maybe ever a break dancer. And some extra detail you can add on some of the flat walls would be some graffiti, if you need some inspiration just google "lego graffiti", there isn't a lot but what is there is pretty good.

I'm not sure if you can find space for it but in markets here in the Netherlands you'll often find these little snackbars on wheels among the market stalls, like you'll just have a van/small truck or trailer that pulls up, the side opens up and you can get fries, fish, and assorted snacks from there. It's a it different and larger than the stereotypical hot-dog stands you always see. Could be fun.

I think the smooth floor is best for the pretty areas. The places that city’s try to keep pretty, like parks or town squares. And the studded sections look more used paths that get worn out and in not maintained.

  • @tdtbricks9345

Every time at the end you say "I hope you enjoyed" and I go: Over already?
That tree is super expensive. Also not quite sure if I like it as much as the ones in the foreground or the one you did in the city center. But it is a striking piece and a focal point of the market for sure. Love the story you are creating inside the city. I imagine the same stuff will happen over in the wild west MOC and Space MOC down the line. This is probably my favorite Lego city of them all. So much detail and all MOC's.

    Yay! A cheese stall 👍🏻😃
That big tree looks fantastic but ouch, the price! I guess it is much better to keep it as one feature for your market and then maybe use the other design for more dotted around the city. I agree the plates + tiles gives much nicer texture for around the docks, whereas you don’t want your minifigs tripping over slabs in the market square and suing the council! 😂
Keep up the great work 👍🏻

Whenever you place a new building into the city, i would make the studs the building sits on a different color so it's easier to find where the building is placed down. (for example, instead of a gray 1x2 plate in each corner of where the building goes, place a red 1x2 plate) I hope this is easy to understand, it's kind of difficult to explain in text. Great video!
