I’m gonna say it again. It’s always the old legend’s man that have the best stories and conversations. Their love for the game is so pure man. Sap, Barkley, Haley, Dickerson, O’Neal are the best episodes
@Michael Jurek IMO It's not the money, it has to do with the fact that the game was dramatically different in its application of violence. Case in point, ED casually brought up eye gouging was a common thing during his era. Well... 25 years before that the applied violence was even worse. MLB was the only major sport that until recently was in essence the same game it was 100 years prior.
My stepdad helped Eric Dickerson change his flat tire on his Porsche 911 right outside of the big A stadium in Anaheim 1985. I was 6 years old and he shook my hand and gave me his autograph. I framed it and still have it..
I agree. These guys ain't doing the silly shit you see on the Disney or Fox sports networks. I stopped watching those shows because I hungered for these types of discussions. And, truthfully, I'm glad because TH-cam is a platform more conducive to the type of vibe I want to see in these types of interviews/discussions.
Mr. Dickerson is THE MAN, the MYTH, the LEGEND. I was happy I got to see him play, he had a certain style of running that was a pleasure to watch. That man was on some other level in his prime.
Just when I thought the last episode was my favorite, you guys raise the bar. The Pony Express was my favorite 30 for 30. But Eric is so much more than that moment. He is a great human being. And he's aging so gracefully. Great job guys.
I worked with a guy at Sam's Club who played for the Denver Broncos who told a vivid ED story. Him: I was a LB . 240...10% body fat. ED came in the hole on time, I got low. I hit him at the 50 and I woke up 10yds later and he was still running.
Man!!!! these podcasts are “all of it”. The guys have never had a bad episode. Thanks fellas for the greatness you’re delivering. I love to hear black men talking about great things. It makes me even more proud to be black
Man I love seeing the greats on The Pivot! ED was one of my favorite running backs! My Top 5 as a kid in the 1980’s were Tony Dorsett, Eric Dickerson, Earl Campbell, Marcus Allen, Hershel Walker. Whenever they touched the ball.. Lookout 👀 😁 🏈 💯
Can't even watch that other show anymore. Y'all are the best in the business. Inspirational on every level.. E D is a true role model. Next level OG knowledge.. Big up The Pivot!!
It’s amazing that running backs like ED, OJ, Walter Payton, Barry Sanders, and a few others were able to run the ball at a time when the running game was the first option and despite never having a decent QB to keep defenses from putting 8-9 in the box.
I've always thought that he was a brilliant football player. His contract negotiations, while harsh when it was happening, set the tone for getting players paid what they were worth. It was criminal how the Rams paid him. I love his interviews. Just a smart humble guy.
Favorite OG running back ever! As a kid I used to look at old pics of him in that Rams uni…the goggles, jerri curl, neck brace; E was like a superhero to me based on how he ran the ball with style and grace. Real legend.
This was a great show. Eric is so smart and such a good person. The fact that he forgave that GM of the Rams speaks volumes of what kind of man he is. Truly a good person.
I remember Fred Taylor and Florida played Florida State and they interviewed him after the game. He torched Florida State. Just a nice running back. I hope he gets in the Hall.
I'm from Trinidad and is a fan of the NFL tournament but been a fan with y'all since I saw y'all split form those guy's.....keep the great guests coming bringing their own nuggets from their experiences.......big up HAPPY DAD
Channing Crowder actually did a show and not talk down and dirty for once that's a first. The Pivot gets better and better every time I watch it .Keep up the great work guys the synergy with you all is great!
Eric Dickerson has always been a talented man..so much class, still handsome and in great shape. Thanks Pivot team this was perfect !. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
The story tells from this man is A-1. Love it. His unique look on the turf was dope. He came from a great draft class and flawless career. Lets go PIVOT!!!
Man this show is literally my favorite show to watch. I look forward to each and every episode. RC, Fred and Channing are so perfect together. My son's podcast The Bluebloods has benefited from this show. Tell him when you have guests on your show be yourself and make your guests comfortable like they do. Great show guys.
This podcast makes me laugh every time! I enjoy the way that these men allow their guests to explain their stories and go through the timelines of their careers. I am truly proud of seeing these three men come together and discuss the different issues and topics that not everyone is willing to go into. I've learned so much from these podcasts that I look forward to them popping up on the feed. The talent that has come through here is pure excellence and I wish you all the best and the most success that comes from this podcast. May you all be blessed, along with your families and God be with you along every step.
I'm still a Dallas Girl. I've been a Dallas fan since Tom Landy was coach. The Senior Bowl ( college senior football players ready to enter the pro's) is played here in my home town every year. The South squad practiced at my high school in preparation for the game. The North Squad practiced at another school. I have so many of the coaches autographs from this experience. I still remember to this day seeing Tom Landry dressed in his suit and hat standing on our practice field and me casually walking up to him and telling him he was my favorite coach. He signed my autograph book on the spot. Such a gentleman. But, my sister is a Ram 🐏 girl. So I got Chuck Knox autograph for her. He was the Rams coach at that time. Great interview gentlemen. Saw you at Grambling for our Spring game. Love your Podcast.
This was one of the best interviews I’ve seen on TH-cam! It’s was even more special cause I was a Eric Dickerson fan man that brother had style and flavor in his time. I was so pleased to him him speak with style and grace what a great man!👊🏾💯
This was a dope interview. This was a nice balance for the casual football fan and you don’t have to know all the stats to know ED was good and a good person that the hosts have a lotta respect for. Great job!
Thanks guys for sharing with us your great show. It's always a great feeling to see our former professional players chilling and sitting around the same table to discuss and debate everything. Great interview guys.keep up the good job. Keep building black communities stronger and united.peace and be smart.
Dope show. But dont forget they get paid really good money to do it, so lets not act like they are just doing this for us. But either way, i love the show & the different personalities of the three mesh so damn good. And they are always prepared & professional(well except for channing at times hahhaaaa).
Had a smile on my face from the moment Eric walked in the door. Big ED fan. Took a road trip to Cleveland and then hit a few when I lived in Cali. Love what he's doing these days to impact the younger guys. You guys never let me down. 👏👏👏
totally agree, this was one very special show! ED next to TD and EC and WP, best to lace em up! Boy to watch that man run was something special, so thankful to have lived to see him run! Damn he was a special kind of dude and very respectful, something these young cats can learn from! Great show guys.
I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say I feel like y'all don't drop enough interviews when in reality y'all do! Y'all just spoil us with great interviews man. The chemistry, the timing, the choice of guests. Just simplicity in it's best form. Thank you guys & the rest of the Pivot team! Literally love the dialogue & Channing crazy ass always have me on edge at the end. Always curious how each & every show is gonna end! Y'all be BLESSED!!!🙏🏿 Until the next one.
The league and the direction of the NFL played a role in Barry Sanders retirement. Detroit would never trade Barry and couldn't build around him. Imagine Sanders in Dallas back then or team with dominant o line.👀👀👀💯 Dickerson was beast too!
Prediction: This is gonna be 🔥. Eric is hilarious especially when I watch him on undisputed. I know Fred’s gonna be excited because that’s a 🐐 RB and Channing is gonna ask Eric some wild shit
I can see the pivot just crushing it during the super bowl led up. 💯 Guest recommendation: 🥤 O.J. I can already see Channing asking the question everyone wants to know....😅
Man I love ED I remember my dad took me to Anaheim to see this dude run and damn he ran me a huge Rams fan for life to this day. Fellas thank you for having him on the show you brought up found memories of my childhood and again love you ED 🐏💛💙 I agree with ED I can’t stand those Niners too 😂🤣

It makes me sick to think some of the players that are making the money they are today and these older players that were twice or three times. I’m gonna say it again. It’s always the old legend’s man that have the best stories and conversations. Their love for the game is so pure man. Sap, Barkley, Haley, Dickerson, O’Neal are the best episodes
Especially bc they're at the age where they can tell us all the details

Rick Flair to
I could do without Sapp on your list. I didn't watch that episode. Sapp is a dirtbag.

It was called Pony Excess and it was one of my faves as well
Eric Dickerson is a class act. Eric Dickerson #29 will never be forgotten.
It don’t get no better than this interview
I worked with a guy at Sam's Club who played for the Denver Broncos who told a vivid ED story.

Barry's situation was even worse because his line didn't block😂
Great observation!!!
Pivot with no misses once again! Would love to see Shannon Sharpe as a guest, then see y'all three as guests on Club Shay Shay🏁
This needs to happen
Agreed 100 percent
The pivot podcast is substantial to my life ❤️ 💙
Eric Dickerson, should be a GM with the knowledge 🔥
He said he knows RB's. I doubt he should be a GM.
no dummy he said he's a RB guru not a damn GM guru jeezus
@@kobeplayeddefensetoo1351 so he knows the game! might be better than some of these gm’s today

Raw and real content. It’s not so corporate as IAA. Love it
This was a excellent episode, great conversation with a undisputed legend. Wish it was longer. Keep the heat coming Pivot🔥!
LEGENDARY HOF INTERVIEW 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Love this! My Pops was an ED fan and always talked about how he ran with the knees high and straight back. Dude was a beast
Eric Dickerson is the best to ever do it. I just love that the PIVOT has been delivering since they came together.
10 years from now when they reference super teams in podcasting we can only reference ‘THE PIVOT’ 💯🙌🏾
Favorite OG running back ever! As a kid I used to look at old pics of him in that Rams uni…the goggles, jerri curl, neck brace; E was like a superhero to me based on how he ran the ball with style and grace. Real legend.

…so true 😵💫
I could sit in a room all day long with these guys, and talk nothing but football. great episode fellas, please keep them flowing.
This was a great show. Eric is so smart and such a good person. The fact that he forgave that GM of the Rams speaks volumes of what kind of man he is. Truly a good person.
Thanks for the show with kindness and truth will reveal..
Love SMU and Dickerson’s loyalty to them
HE GOT PAID AND STILL REFUSES TO ADMIT IT, AFTER ALL THESE YEARS LATER!!
E.D as real as they come. Love watching his interviews.
" I tell ya, them goggles wasn't sweet" Channing Crowder 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Channing always with that one question that puts ear to ear smile on ya face "did you leave the goggles on"
