Thank you for this video. I am English living in Glasgow Scotland since February 2015. I respect the tradition of kilts and bagpipes but enjoy the Rnglish Morris dancing as someone who lived in England for 57 years.
This sort of thing is so important for younger people to see, I think. We tend to believe, with our phones and internet and pop music and everything else, that our ancestors lived in a time that was either grey or black and white, a time before colour, a time before entertainment, before music, before fun. They didn't. They lived, they loved, they revelled, they celebrated, they danced and they played their music, they too found joy in this life. I saw a Morris dance today for the first time at 28...I didn't think I'd like it, and at various points I wasn't sure quite what I was watching. But now I'm here, 12 minutes into this video, and I'm captivated. I couldn't tell you why. I don't know why I like it - only that I do.

You're so right. Today's youth are becoming disconnected from their history and heritage.

Sounds like Christmas to me
They all look like high court judges
Was this in 2022? There are no visual clues to assign a year for this event. It is lovely and genuine.
Yes it is 2022. I forgot to mention that.
Yeah christaine, 2022 and not a blooming covid mast in sight..... Marvellous

They could do with a few more hankies and jingly bells otherwise they are on the right direction
Anything on for 2024? Thanks
I'll ask my brother. He's a member of the Northampton Group.
An event is being held at Stoke Bruerne this Tuesday evening (St George's Day).
@@arcadia449 Thanks for the info. I'm really grateful. 😀
