      You will once we upload it. Meanwhile TH-cam should produce subtitles and you can use the LingQ browser extension to import the video and sub-title text as a lesson.

      @@calcitram2837 I can only suggest you google. I like Balzac, but don't read much in French now but for philosophy and history suggest you look up www.amazon.ca/Dix-%C3%89tapes-Pens%C3%A9e-Occidentale-Pr%C3%A9socratiques/dp/2340007194 and a book by my old professor in the mid 60s, www.amazon.com/LEurope-Histoire-peuples-Jean-Baptiste-Duroselle/dp/2012789129

    Hey Steve! Great video! I have a question, do you think it’s possible to reach a B2 level in nine months or less than that? I’ve been studying French intensively for 7 months. Saludos desde Mexico!

    • @arcaneonmobile6744
      @arcaneonmobile6744 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ulises Alfonso García Vázquez 100%, I’ve been studying spanish for 7 months and I’d say I’m already well into B2. I just studied hard in the beginning and now am probably getting 3+ hours of input each day. I’d suggest you try to find a youtuber that you enjoy in your target language and just fall in love with their content. For me this channel was Luisito Comunica;) Good luck!
      Edit:I forgot to mention that it depends on the language you are learning. Since you’re a spanish native and french is quite similar it is definitely possible. If you were to be learning Mandarin or Arabic on the other hand it would be a different story:)

    • @ICanSpeakArabic
      @ICanSpeakArabic 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Its realy depends.
      But its abit hard for me to reach B2 in arabic.

    • @Thelinguist
      @Thelinguist  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      For a Spanish speaker it is definitely possible to reach a level that gives you satisfaction, where you notice considerable improvement and achievement. I think B2 is certainly achievable but I would focus on my own satisfaction rather than arbitrary levels.

    • @Thelinguist
      @Thelinguist  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Arabic is a different story entirely!! I know from experience.

    • @abdihalimyusufmohamed8903

      My brother it depends on how many hours do you spend per daily, 6 hours per day within 6 months you can reach even c1 as i did in Turkish only in 3 months i have reached b2 by spending 4 to 6 hours per daily,as well in arabic within 1 year i would understand the whole conversation between the native speakers.

    Steve, en France on dirait bien plus "habiter en Australie" que "habiter l'Australie". En fait, le verbe _habiter_ est l'un des plus contradictoires du français.
    _Habiter_ est employé comme verbe transitif surtout quand on parle d'habiter dans un logis tel qu'un immeuble ou une maison, ou de résider dans une ville ou une région. Par exemple, on dit aussi bien "habiter la banlieue" que "habiter en banlieue", "habiter Paris" qu' “habiter à Paris”.
    Pour être sûr de tout ça, j'ai dû vérifier dans le dictionnaire, l'un des dictionnaires les plus éminents de France : Le Petit Robert.

    Throwing this suggestion out once again - how about doing a video with Aleksi Himself or Adam Bradshaw? Aleksi Himself makes videos about Finnish culture, lifestyle, and language. Definitely seems like someone who would be featured on this channel. Adam Bradshaw is an English teacher in Thailand and speaks fluent Thai - so well that he can easily pass for a native speaker and is famous in the country for his proficiency. Again, don't tell us you won't go through with either idea just because Finnish and Thai aren't as widely spoken as Arabic, or that you don't know either language. Having them on could inspire someone here to learn them, even you for all we know. Could be looking at your next two languages. Mutual channel promotion + language promotion = win-win
