Excellent concept. Congratulations Mr Jerome Michaud-Lariviere.

It's ridiiculous trash and i hope we don't waste too much resources building these pieces of junk.

Some comments ask about the power produced.
The eqn is Power = 1/2 * C * p * a * v^3 where C is turbine efficiency, p is air density, a is area of turbines and v^3 is cube of wind speed all in metric units.
Using very best efficiency for drag type turbines is 15%, assume air density p is 1.23 kg/m^3, and assume these 36 turbine leaves are each 1m tall and 25cm dia.
    At wind speed of 1 m/s (2.2mph) the power output is a paltry 0.83W i.e. 0.5 * 0.15 * 1.23 * 36 * 0.25 * 1*1*1
    For higher wind speeds of 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 10, 13 m/s we multiply the above 0.83W result respectively by 2^3, 3^3, 4^3, 5^3, 7^3, 10^3, 13^3
which gives us 6.6W, 22W, 51W, 106W, 285W, 830W, 1824W. The cube of wind speed is the key detail.
Most times the wind speed is typically 4 to 5 m/s (~9 to ~11mph) so the typical power of this tree is 50-100W.
Turbine manufactures often quote the power at highest wind speeds say 13m/s (29mph) and not tell you that typical ground winds speeds suck.

Great idea. In a ice storm it freeze for sure. Maybe a rooftop with a solar panel. Could give enough energy to a heater inside the tree to keep it produce electricity even in snow and ice

The price is high, but many new tech items start as expensive and only for the rich, and then getter quickly better and cheaper - happened with cars, calculators, computers, home HD video cameras, etc.
It is now probably for corporations or for a few in a city or richer town, but still a good idea and likely cheaper in coming decades (but is still going to be a lot…it is large, has to not fall on anyone’, has many moving parts, etc).

There is such a thing as "over engineering" whether it be wind farms or this "wind tree"
Just go back to promoting individual, basic wind turbines and you'd see wind quickly gaining ground in percent of electricity produced compared to the other sources. Same goes for solar, both are most efficient and sustainable at small scale rather than industrial scale.

Utter bullshit. The design is inefficient and the surface area way too small to generate meaningful energy.
