If you go with then Hitchcocks kit, which includes an Amal Concentric MK1 carburetor and all the parts necessary to do the conversion, it costs about $350USD. The oem electric fuel pump, which does not hold up well to ethanol gas at all, costs over $500USD to replace, and won't last past 6 months. The carb conversion will never need anything else.
EFI is GARBAGE. Converting to a carburetor is by far the best thing you can do for one of these bikes. Runs 10 times better and is at least 10 times more reliable. But, DON'T do it this way. First of all, only RE 500 singles through 2016 can be converted. 2017 and newer are Euro 4 and cannot be converted, not easily anyway. I would avoid these bikes. Go to Hitchcocks Motorcycles site (they are in the UK) and get THEIR carb conversion kit. It uses a NON CV Amal Concentric MK1 carburetor. It is super easy to install. You don't have to rip all the wiring off the bike. It's what I have on my 2013 B5 Bullet, and it runs beautifully. I have put over 22K miles on it with the Hitchcocks kit, with absolutely NO problems. You get instant throttle response, no hesitation, surging, or wheezing. The Amal carb is jetted much richer than this government trash EFI.
