    I think its unfair to judge someone because their parents worked hard and they were able to provide a better life for their children?? That is what we ALL do and want. Entrepreneurs, business owners, artists, I pay for college because I want a different lifestyle for myself but THEN to get booed for it. So unfair. We all live different lives. If we are not supposed to do better, close the colleges, cancel SharkTank, burst bubbles and dreams.

      If you have seen the show you will know that they are not using their wealth to build schools in Africa LMAO! All they are doing is partying with their parents money and strutting around town with a condescending arrogant elitist attitude which is why they are disliked.

    I can't believe Bethenny continued to let her guests harass these kids. I guarantee if it was a bigger celeb being grilled, production would have shut it down real fast. Just because they're a group of young adults everyone on the show thought it was okay. RKOBH just gained a fan, and Bethenny lost one.

      They were approached by E! to be on the show, they're living their lives, so what?
      I hate when non-wealthy people try to dictate and shame rich people, just for the simple fact that they're rich.
      My wish is to work A LOT and provide WHATEVER my kids and family wants, that is what their parents did probably.

    Most people complaining about this show deep down are envious. The same people who complain how horrible the cast can afford to pay their internet. The internet is a luxury. That same amount of money would mean the world to poor kids in Ecuador and other poor nations. Why do people play the lottery and then lose it all if money is so bad?

      I wasn't talking about them. I was talking about your statement about the lottery. People are naturally greedy. These kids have ambition, yet no one wants to accept them for who they are because they aren't given a chance. I can't speak for the people who have won the lottery and whatever they did with their money but in general people are obsessed with money, some do what they want with it.

    • @strawberriesncandii
      @strawberriesncandii 11 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sakkiuh This goes out to everyone it applies to. I love ambitious people. Just because they were born into wealth doesn't mean that they don't have ambition. Some of the audience members were quite rude to them because deep down they are jealous that they have to struggle while these people don't. Money only amplifies who you are as a person. They all have money and considering how much they've been exposed to in terms of wealth I say they are nice people who are enjoying life. 8 of 10 people lose their money when they win because they felt they had something to prove.

    • @Sakkiuh

      I agree. I think the audience needs to understand them for the people they are. They willingly accept the stereotype THEY create. Oh he's rich so he's spoiled and hasn't worked for shit." Or, "Oh, she's flaunting her money around and partying without a care in the world." How in the living fuck do you know he/she hasn't worked hard for what they got? I think Atticus said in To Kill A Mockingbird:
      "You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view."
      I don't like this show personally, and I won't watch it, but I think we should give them a chance as people.

    Their parents were intelligent hard workers who got to be where they are now, it just makes sense that they have more to give for their children than those who aren't as wealthy like it's not rocket science.
    Why are people hating on them because they have money and like to buy nice, expensive things and have fun like who doesn't like beautiful things? plus they must know that they can't rely on their parents' money forever they all have interests and ambitions that can be turned into a career like everyone else.
    Haters are nothing but jealous. Which is understandable, heck I'm jealous of them but don't turn that jealousy into bullying.

  • @strawberriesncandii
    @strawberriesncandii 11 ปีที่แล้ว +26

    The woman called them brats but said that she'd still watch the show. That makes no sense. She's calling them brats but still contributing to the ratings of the show which makes them more money at the end of the day. Their parents worked hard so that they wouldn't have to need anything and struggle. Brendan works with Mauricio Umansky. We all know that Mauricio is very successful and Brendan aligned himself with successful people early. Yes they can appear very narcissistic and live in their own bubble but the people that have a problem with the show would all be lying if they said they wouldn't trade places with them in terms of wealth. Rihanna posted a picture of expensive shoes and handbags on Twitter not too long ago. Someone had the nerve to shame her and she said that her bags and shoes aren't gonna help the Philippines but the $100,000 would. She's right. We don't know how much money these people have donated.

      ***** You're right about family being important but let's be really honest. If you had the opportunity to switch with them income wise would you still say no. They don't have to worry about where their next meal is coming from or having a roof over their heads. With that kind of money you'd ensure and relieve many generations after you of financial stress. Family is important and all but struggling to make ends meet is something they don't have to think about.

    • @strawberriesncandii

      ***** Not all billionaires live a flashy lifestyle. Money is a problem because you make it an issue. There are plenty of billionaires that live middle class lives that still make money to secure the futures of generations after them. Money isn't the root of all evil. The love of money is. More money doesn't mean more material possessions. If anything it just amplifies who were by 100x. You can be poor and secure a lot of material possessions you can't afford and throw yourself into debt. Let's stop frontin here.

      To be honest, no I wouldn't want that life for my child. I'd like a life where my child can understand the entire world and work hard for their lives. To fight tooth and nail to the grindstone (expression) And if they understand that, and work to be rich, then i'd be much happier than putting them in a situation where everything is handed to them.

      AiZella Roxy has her business. Brenden does real estate. Dorothy got her license in real estate with Brendan mentoring her. Jonny for the most part is supporting himself with his music.We don't know how much money these men and women give to charity. Most of them went to school and graduated with their Bachelor's and Master's. I don't see what is wrong with their partying. There are people their age who are middle class doing the same thing. It was okay for people to watch Jersey Shore. If I had their money and wasn't worried about bills I'd live my life too. No matter where a person gets their money it'll always bring out the envious. If that wasn't so then many people would play Powerball and Megamillions to only go broke buying the same exact things that the cast buy on a regular. Just because you grow up poor doesn't mean you'll be more aware of the world.

      You're absolutely right. They do work hard, I'll accept that I made an ignorant statement, but I should probably point this out before I posted my orignal comment. I don't agree with this show because it somewhat (on the outside let's suspend their personal achievements for a moment) celebrates the idea of rich kids have a lavish lifestyle, not having to work for anything etc etc. I don't agree with that. Since that is what we, as viewers see. We don't see Brenden doing his real estate on the show , we don't see Jonny supporting himself with music.
      All of their rich kid melodrama is news for the camera. If you want to really get views it'd be great if they showed those qualities within themselves then people wouldn't get so heated (which is mostly because of the title). It'd be great if they talked about their bachelor and master degrees. YES! I'd tune in if it was that. This show on the outside and to the majority of people who look at this show and see the title and say "Oh he's a rich kid hasn't worked for poop." "Oh she's so spoiled." That's what the show gives off and that's why people are so put out by it. Sorry if I come off as rude, I don't mean to, I just wanna get my point across.

    I personally don't blame them because it's their lives and they seem to be very content with spending an ostentatious amount of money. However, I do blame networks like Bravo and E! for putting shows like this on air. It makes America as a country look bad. Being someone who has travelled to South America for instance, people have the idea that ALL Americans lead these lives which couldn't be further from the truth. I say if you find this entertaining then watch and if you think it's pathetic don't. Being materialistic doesn't make you bad but its also doesn't promote anything positive in a spectators life.

    the problem isn't them having money and showingcasing it on a reality show...the underlying issue is the fact that many people believe wealth equates to happiness. one thing thats pisses me off is that when working/middle class teens take a pic of them on an airplane going to cancun or whatever and taking pics of their hotel people don't hate on them and call them spoilt even though they have paid nothing for the holiday but when richer people take pics of them on the jets or on in a mansion villa people start hating!! where do you expect the wealthy people to stay in a shabby motel!? for fuck sack! You only live one life so live it to the fullest

    So I came up to the conclusion that the people that were against the show were actually jealous. Like the comment of the lady that said that the median salary in the United States is not $100,000 and going on to say "that's how things are handed to you." Why should they "suffer" and not get to show off what they have? That's what we all do. We buy new shoes, clothes, etc. we wear it to "show it off." Obviously, their things are more "flashy" because they are rich. Why do people look down on these rich people for something that they gained. If you want it, work for it, if you don't want it then don't complain about it. It's their lives. It's obvious that people like watching this shows, which speaks volumes about our society.

    no matter what people say shows like this will continue to be made. just don't watch it. i like some reality shows but this one didn't interest me that much i prefer shows like real housewives. but you have a choice, just don't watch it. also i know EJ Johnson (Magic Johnson's son) is on the show and I wonder why he didn't appear on Bethenny w/ the other cast members, and he also isn't shown much in the promotional ads. maybe he's not in it that much...

    The audience were getting too personal over this. Just because these guys have wealthy parents and were born into a privileged situation doesn't mean they should be attacked and Bethenny is a hypocrite as she was on The Real Housewives of New York. If anything the audience should be pissed off at the parents. I love how people think because they are working class they deserve money more over a wealthy person. That's not how it works. Life is easier without a chip on your shoulder.

    The money is their parent's not theirs. There is nothing about that they should be proud of except for the fact that their parents worked so hard to get to where they are. These kids should be working their asses off to get to the same place as their parents if they want the same lifestyle. THAT would be worthwhile show. Teaching us how to make something of ourselves and get to the success we desire, as opposed to being lazy and taking whatever we can from whoever we can.

    I'm watching this part right now. And I've already posted how I feel about this show and how people are so mad at it. Whatever it's not that serious. But I love Bethenny but I'm gonna need for her to stop acting like she doesn't come from money. We all know she did. Yes she may have had to still work a lot of rich kids do (like the one guy who said so) but Bethenny is not immune to this lifestyle. But I thought it was really funny how she said "most of my audience doesn't know what an Hermes is" like what? Just because someone may not have one doesn't mean they don't know what it is. I know what it is and I damn sure can't afford one. Idk that just irritated me. Like is she implying her audience is too poor or out of touch with wealth to know about nice designers. Okay Bethenny.

    Why are the audience members such haters? If it wasn't interesting, why did Rich Kids do so well in the ratings for the first two episodes?
    Le'ts face it, lives of the super rich are interesting and fascinating to watch from a fly on the wall point of view.

  • @soccerlovin1

    "The average person doesn't make six figures"... Yeah if they are unambitious and don't want to work hard for success. My father came here from India (dirt poor) with a massive stutter and experienced culture shock. Yet after working for three years as a cashier he eventually persuaded the top business school in America that his undergrad in India was very respectable and he enrolled there. 30 years later he is making half a million dollars a year. He came from a broken family, a country that recently had multiple wars, and he didn't have electricity, fridge, or running water until he turned 17. He and millions of asian immigrants were able to achieve great success here, because unlike most, they understand that America has a huge amount of opportunities if you want to seek them out. This cr** like "OMG its SOOO hard", of course it is hard, nothing in life is handed to you. Their parents worked hard, now they can work less and live off the interest. Stop crying and give your kids that life. I won't be satisfied with making half a million dollars, I want to give my future kids a life where they can live off the interest of my money and pursue what they truly want like politics, charity, etc..

    • @HelloWorld1947
      @HelloWorld1947 9 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      +Aditya159 If all it took was hard work then your father would have been successful back in India! But, you know damn well it's not all about hard work. And your father is an example of a very few successful Indian. I know thousands of Indians (Where i live there are thousands of them) and they all work at 7/11 or as taxi drivers. The success rate of reaching a million dollar is very small both in the USA and India. You also have to answer the question, if your father didn't have anything then how did he come to the USA? Who payed for his plane ticket, his visa, his passport, his apartment when he arrived here, his food, his transportation, etc.?
      When you inherit his wealth, that means you are living off of his hard work. You think Bill Gates children had to work a day in their life? That's why i don't believe in giving your money to your children when you die. Donate it to charity and force your kids to work like every other family around the world. The one who actually did the work to earn that money deserves it, not the ones who came into the world because their wealthy parents had sex.

    • @soccerlovin1
      @soccerlovin1 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Aksum Princess 1. Hard work does not guarantee success in India, you may not understand this living in the U.S but there are very few countries where hard work = success.
      2. Indian-Americans are the wealthiest ethnic group in America earning an average of $100,000 a year. Those 7/11 workers and taxi drivers most likely own their store or cab and are making more than $50,000 a year because they work to earn money and buy their own store/taxi. My dad also worked at a CASHIER and used the money to go to business school.
      3. If you read what I said then you would know that he came from a respectable institution in India and managed to save up money for the ticket to come here.
      4. Who says I will be living off his money? He ain't giving jack to me....
      5. You are arguing that parents shouldn't be allowed to give their money to their kids? Why? The parents worked hard and now their kids can go into politics, run charities, or just have fun. If their parents worked extremely hard then their kids have every right to that money if their parents want to give it to them.
      6. You will also find that children of rich families are expected to go to top schools and work just as hard. My dad has the mindset of only top 20 schools (UMich-Harvard) or he is not paying or supporting me. Where did you get the idea that rich kids don't do anything?

    • @soccerlovin1
      @soccerlovin1 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Nightcore Senpai
      1. Fix your grammar and sentence structure, it is impossible trying track your statement.
      2. Back then you could get a job without college because after WW2 the rest of the world was destroyed and America was a country that possessed 90% of the world's manufacturing capabilities. Now the rest of the world has healed back up or is working to improve their conditions like India, China, Brazil, etc. So of course those jobs aren't here, but they are higher paying jobs if you go to college and get a degree.
      3. You don't pay for Obamacare, it is a system in which everyone must pay for health insurance. It is simply a system that was built so every American would have health care. And if you are under the minimum income to afford it, THEY PROVIDE IT.
      4. Public schooling is guaranteed...I don't know where you got that from. But if you are talking about colleges yes they are more expensive but there are Federal programs that guarantee you a loan for your schooling. And the best schools in the country are often the cheapest. For example Harvard will fully pay for anyone under 65k.
      5. How is air and plumbing more expensive?
      6. Gas and food are far cheaper.
      7. You haven't provided any evidence showing that people are working 12 hours with no breaks and food.
      8. Americans are not going without food in their bellies. America spends the least amount of money for food as a percentage of their income in the world.
      9. Dreaming is not enough, you have to work hard and smart. Going to college and working up the food chain is what makes you rich (or building your own company). But just by working hard as a cashier won't make you rich.
      Are we done here?

    I love the way Bethenny doesn't hold back from telling it like it is, she is real and that's what I love about her. Most dumb people will cater to rich people because they think they will get a handout or opportunity from them to make money. Hello, it's not going to happen. Rich people only got rich by chance, they were at the right place, at the right time, and that is a very rare thing. There is not an abundance of opportunity for everyone in this type of a false economy. 50 years ago there were several varieties of same products, but now it has dwindled to only a few (just go to any store and look around). As an example, look at smart phones, there are only a few that dominate and the rest (like the Microsoft phone) are struggling. So everyone else (middle class / Poor) has to work for the rich. The rich would not be able to make and sell their products if not for the working class. In reality the lower class worker does everything from the accounting, ideas, planning, art work, building, marketing, fabricating, to complete production. And all the rich guy did was bring the money and hire the people to put the idea (in most cases, steal an idea from a very talented but poor person) together. You see they would not be rich without you. The rich know exactly what I'm talking about and they want to keep it this way to continue their luxurious lifestyle while telling you to work hard and you can have what they have. That’s a load of crap and more false hope. Almost everyone you know works hard. Look around you; don’t you know they would be rich if there were opportunities?
