If this one issue continue to make you vote for Trump, dream on about your own backyard, finances, especially if you are a middle income person. Trump knows not about an average worker, but most people like him never do. They always say they grew up in humble backgrounds, with 19 loaves of bread under each arm. What about the recent senator who said he grew up in humble background, a maga of course, whose father was president of the University, and lived in a mega mansion, but said he grew up on a farm. As for the 'mandatory pronouns' thing; i have to admit, i have conflicting opinions. I mean, I'm a 49yo he/him straight male, and have privilege in that way, i suppose. I think it's annoying and dumb to state my pronouns, yet, if those of us 'privileged' dont embrace it and make it a norm, those who are more marginalized will never be normalized - and of course i want them normalized and accepted. At the same time, those adamantly opposed to seeing others as equals will never do so, unless, maybe, by being shamed and othered by the privileged majority. Still, some resist against LGBTQ acceptance even more when feeling they are 'forced' to declare pronouns. It's tricky.
Diaagree with david on some of his current takes around gaza/israel, but i agree that generations tend to progress and accept - so the explicit effort at pronouns may be unnecessary, as civilation progresses on it's own track through communications and incentives/disincentives.

The pronoun issue is one that really triggers the conservatives and I kinda agree with it in a way. Forcing everyone to pronounce their pronouns and get triggered when its not being used is something conservatives would push back on. I feel like when you push it down their throats is when they will fight the most. Keeping it subtle where you can gently say something like "I know I look like a he, but would you mind calling me she/they instead?" Instead of a movement where you cancel someone because they don't want to use preferred pronouns.
If I'm in a conversation with a person and they mention it to me as an aside that they would prefer to be referred as something else, then I'll make the change. If person makes a big deal about it, especially upfront, then the stubborn part of me would want to push back.

It's not just "call me by my nick name or else I'll rip you a new one"

I feel like David and others severely downplay the impact the conflict could potentially have on the election. It is a massive issue with young voters that dominates the conversation. I agree that Trump is far worse on the issue and it's a no brainer to vote for Biden, but young people don't see it that way. They see it as Biden is bad for Palestinians and must be removed. I don't know if it will be the deciding factor, but I think it has the potential to be.

There is no ""genocide"" in Gaza , if that is genocide what is Russia doing to Ukraine cities, if they are being flattened to empty fields & wiping out the people there ?? That is a genocide not Gaza. In Gaza a few buildings are destroyed with hamas terrorists in them

Considering that Israel also faces threats from e.g. Iran, sending military aid to Israel is not just about Israel's war in Gaza.
Biden does not support Netanyahu, he confronts him. None of us knows what is exactly being discussed or planned. But Biden definitely does not want this war in Gaza and does not support what happens to the Palestinians.
"Genocide Joe" is a disgusting and dangerous misinterpretation, to put it mildly.

Support for genocide is kind of a misleading way to pit it. All the said we send is not going towards what's happening in Gaza. Suggesting we just give no more aid to Isreal is making the solution sound a lot more simple than it really is. Then you start going down a slippery slope. Do we not give money to people who won't wage ware when we want them to?
