I've watched a couple of videos on that topic, none helped.
Everytime I check for updates it tells me I'm up to date. This has been going on for about two months.
That does seem odd to go two months without any updates. What version firestick do you have, and what version does it show you in the "About" section of Settings\My FireTV?

When I hold the fire stick tv volume button down or up it only changes the volume 1/2 increment. It will not scroll automatically. How do I fix this? We are using a receiver.

Hey Bob. I have an older Firestick 4K and when i go to my downloader, i click on it, a different screen came up than you showed. It's the one where you put a code or info in the browser search bar. So, im a bit confused in the steps passed that point.

Yes, you can bring the Firestick anywhere. You will just need to connect to the Wifi wherever you bring it.

Doing this allows you to install apps that aren't in the Amazon App store, so the short answer is, YES.

I just can’t seem to get any Kodi addons to work always come up no streams, running 20.2 changed to 19.3 still no streams started about 3 months ago I rely on apk now any suggestions

@@alarmstrong2929 that explains your issue. 99% of those add-ons require RD to get any usable streams. Check it out. It's cheap.

I'm 'bout to get a gun and shoot my television.
I have the Firestick plugged in HDMI 1 and have video but cannot get sound to my Polk soundbar.
Everything worked fine, and still does with the DVD, when I had cable and all I've done is unplug the cable and plug in the Firestick.
My neighbor is tech-savvy and was here for 30 minutes and did everything we were instructed to do but nothing, and contacting Amazon was useless.

Ok so what are you going to use, a 12 gauge, a 9mm, or a .45 Colt Commander maybe even a .50 Desert Eagle? I suggest trying them all but please include that video with your response.
